They did it to rebrand their image and get out of the strictly Science Fiction stuff. Yet somehow, the only thing that has changed is more reality shows. Granted I'm a HUGE fan of Ghost Hunters, and I do really enjoy Josh Gates, but the hollywood auction show is a bit far-fetched for me. They used to show Dr. Who on there - a season late, but still great - and now they don't. They are, however, doing a remake of BBC's "Being Human" which totally pisses me off!! I like that show, and everything that SCiFy does on their own just plain sucks. Case in point - the Sara Jane Chronicles, branched off Dr. Who and Torchwood - major suckage. Plus, Sharktopus? Seriously? Sharktopus???

Atleast they have an HD channel in my area. There's still a lot that i don't get in HD yet and it irks me - mainly BBC America and AMC. I honestly don't even like to watch "regular" ones anymore, other than NickJr. for Izzie. :smirk:

Another rant? OK!!! I hate how all my favorite shows only do 1 season a year now. Sons of Anarchy. Dr. Who. The Walking Dead. Deadliest Catch. C'mon, people!!! Although, I will say this - as far as well-written drama is concerned, SoA has it hands down for the most excusable. IMO, it's so well written that I can totally appreciate Kurt Sutter taking nearly a year to write just one season. He does it SOOOOO well...

whats funny is, you have to DVR 3 hours worth in order to watch a normal length movie (95) minutes worth.. sad when its the same length in damn commercials

try watching a nfl game-i start recording an hour before i start watching, and catch up before the 2nd quarter.
or if you are watching a show, after 10 minutes of commercials they come back and repeat the last 5 minutes of what they showed before going to commercial. geezus-an hour long show has only 20 minutes of actual show.

FX is pretty notorious for their commercials. Special "90 minute Sons of Anarchy" ended up being a good 45 minutes of show and extended commercials or sneak peaks at some upcoming cinematic suck-a-thon due out that Friday. And their DVD on TV crap? C'mon now... even worse because there are not only commercials after 5 minutes of movie, but added in "DVD extras" hosted by some short chubby POS and some taller "eh..." blonde chick. Ugh.

Yup! Actually, since "my shows" are over for the time being, the TV isn't even on right now. The girls are upstairs sleeping, Max is on the couch sprawled out and snoring, and I'm on the floor - laptop on lap - on here. Yup...no life.
Whew! Had me worried there for a minute, bro. Just whatever you do - and this goes for everyone out there - don't go buy a big white Buick. I will lose all respect for you and one of these days, I may roll down my window while passing you and have to fire a few shots to wake your old-arse up to drive right. my taurus is 4 years old and haven't had a bit of trouble from it. but my buddy at work kept telling me how much leg room his chevy impala has. so i tried it out and sat behing the wheel, i was sold-i want one. i spend considerable time in my car and i am willing to sacrifice for comfort.

One thing that bugs me was when they advertised the SHO on TV earlier this year. The announcer kept calling it the Ford Taurus SHO - as in "SHOW" and not the letters S, H, and O. It's always been pronounced ess-aych-oh!!!!

Have you driven one of those POS? They are cheap fabricated plastic, and have the same feel of driving a damn stratus. I drove one of their souped up models, and man do they feel like they are going to fall apart. Then again, that is all Dodge's besides their truck division.

I've driven a regular ol' Magnum. My dad had one. I do agree that everything was pretty plastic in it, but it did handle well. I just love the look of the Charger, and that SRT8 engine makes me smile.
If I had the money for one of them, though, I'd opt for one of other 2 a bit higher on the list - the Ram or the 95.

Just to much peddle sway and has to much slack in the steering column, the interior ****pit is flimsy, and the seat rails have a slight rock to em. But, regardless, there aren't many muscle cars I am a fan of from the recent generations.
I am a truck guy, albeit my selection is definitely a sexy F150 with the new 6.2L engine with a block made of Cast iron instead of the crap aluminum you see in many trucks, not to mention the hydraulic lifters.... :smileysex5:
