On Paranormal Activity 2, I heard it's good. But my GF forced me to watch the first one with her a few nights ago... I was honestly bored. There were hilarious parts though. I would wait till it's out for rental TBH, unless you have a date that wants to see it. (The GF just saw 2 as well, and said it was scary as hell though)

A "date"? What's that?!?!? :lol: Married for like 7 years come next April. Have a 2 yr old. I don't even remember what a "date" is...unless you're referring to things like March 31, 1788 or something... ;)

Meh, your probably right. May wait for rental. Now the blood and guts of Saw I'm definitely seeing this weekend.

we're married 15, and still generally do 1 date nite a week :)

I can't define a "date" because there's no real definition :/ It can either be a horrible thing or a great thing, a giant screw up, or just a screw. Etc... :P

Kids are grown up, or you have a really good babysitter, or ya don't have any? ;)

Sad part is, my parents live 7 miles up the road. They watch my niece, 10 months younger than Izzie, all the time for my sister (single mom). It's spoiled them for watching their other granddaughter - something they said would never happen. Yeah, right... then throw the guy a bone every now and again and let us have a little fun! Must be because they know we're stopping at 1. :(
 
Kids are 2,6 and 14, so now we get the 14 year old to watch the others. before the 2 year old, we used to get grandma + grandpa (about 30 miles away) to take the 2 on 2 weekends a month :)

In 3D!!!!!!!!

I cannot wait for this 3D fad to die off. Damn Fern Gully remake, making 3D popular again.

Maybe if studios came up with some ORIGINAL stories they wouldn't have to try and add some novelty to the movies to get people to see them. :zx11pissed:

Is it originality or technology. The tech advances have made home viewing as good if not better then going to the theater in some cases. Have to keep something novel about the experience to generate sales. Attendance keeps getting lower and lower each year.....

I have a 10 foot diagonal screen @ 1080i analog with a home theater couch about 8 feet from the screen. Since 2005 ;) xbox 360 rocks on it.

It's originality. Practically every movie out there is a remake or an adaptation of or the same plot with a different name. And don't get me started on Saw...how many have they made now? :)

If you look hard enough, everything is the same in some form or another. It's virtually impossible to make something that doesn't resemble or pull from something else. I agree on the remakes though, the karate kid was just pointless, I mean really....

How to Train Your Dragon was an excellent, quasi original flick.

INSTALLING A HUSBAND
Dear Tech Support,

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in overall system performance, particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0...

In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5, and then installed undesirable programs such as NBA 5.0, NFL 3.0 and Golf Clubs 4.1.

Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system.

Please note that I have tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail.

What can I do?

DEAR DESPERATE!!!,

First, keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while Husband 1.0 is an operating system.

Please enter command: ithoughtyoulovedme.html, try to download Tears 6.2, and do not forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update. If those applications work as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically
run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.

However, remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to
Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0, or Beer 6.1. Please note Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will download the Farting and Snoring Loudly Beta.

Whatever you do, DO NOT under any circumstances install Mother-In-Law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources.)

In addition, please do not attempt to reinstall the Boyfriend 5.0-program. This is an unsupported application and will crash Husband 1.0!!!

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly... You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. We recommend Cooking 3.0 and Hot Lingerie 7.7.

How does the projector play movies?? Do you run it through a dvd/bluray or something?

I use an xbox 360, but could hook anything up to it with component sources. Nowadays, for the same money I could buy a decent digital projector to get the same quality. In 2005, the digital projectors under $25,000 sucked visually compared to this.

It really is. Just think of the projector like a regular TV and how you hook that up to the rest of your home theater system.

and looking at their reviews and information. My overall suggestion is a DLP, as they tend to have nicest black levels. But as far as specifics go, better to read up on whats available now and what pricing.

Funny Story:


So last night a bottle of cologne spilled in my gym bag. I take my bag with me to work because I go directly to then gym after I leave the office. Well I keep my pre-workout shake powders (3/4 cups ground oats and two scoops protein) in the shaker until I'm about to leave to mix up and drink. Well apparently the smell saturated the powders and I am now drinking a shake that tastes exactly like my cologne smells. The sad part is, I kind of like it. Calvin Klein protein.

Instead of creepy white guy, now I'm thinking of going as a poor college student. It'd be a lot easier to dress for that.

On a side note, I just found out from a guy in my math class that you don't need to be a certified trainer to be a trainer in Indiana(from what he said, atleast... verification?). I'm debating on getting a norm job or just shooting for that(my major is Fitness Studies). Free membership as well, so it would save me about $30 a month. Anyone here lift at an Anytime Fitness?

I have Bobybuilding.com as a friend on Facebook and they've been posting up people in their costumes. There hasn't been a great hulk one yet though :( There was a Kratos and a Terminator that looked freaking awesome though.

Meh, they got bought out by another forum/etailer. Looks like the prods they had are still going to hit the market too.... I'm sorry but I find it hard to feel bad for or about anything when they sell. I'm sure it was a nice chunk of change, and that all involved are more then happy.:240:

To me it depends. A company being bought can mean very good things, or the company can collapse.
