Segansational's Motivation Log

I have not, but also heard good things. Disappointing to hear about your experience with IGNIT3. How do you usually handle alpha-Y? Likely that's what drove anxiety.

Well, work travel schedule forced me into an evening workout post-dinner, so felt full, was sweltering hot (fans only), and sh!tty little gym at the hotel (lame equipment from the 80s and DBs only to 45#). In a foul mood.

Cardio, treadmill

Supersets
Machine Chest Press
Machine Flys

DB BP x 45#
Incline DB Press x 40, 30#

Single Arm DB Rows x 45#
DB reverse Flys x 10#

Lat pulldowns
Machine Rows

Swiss ball Crunches

I wish, PES brand and Allmax did me fine even at higher doses but not all are equal.

Sucks about the hotel gym :/

Yeah, hotel gyms are always hit or miss. But at least I got it in. They did have a dry sauna which I took advantage of one of the days though.

Another day, another rep. Hit shoulders this morning at home. On a positive note, I feel like my arms, specifically biceps, are starting to show some real thickness.

Still waiting on my Invictus to show up to get the shred party on! Will begin early next week assuming it shows up soon.

Rotator Cuff Ex x 2.5# - 2 x 10

Supersets at 3 x 10:
Seated DB Press x 35#
Upright rows +40#

DB Laterals x 15#
Bent Over DB Laterals x 15#

DB front raises x 15#
Pull ups x 10,10,10

Decline Crunches x 20,15,12

Coming up on a birthday this weekend. Old by AM standards probably. Body starting to feel it a bit, haha. It's like it knows when I'm about to turn another year older! May be the last hurrah before watching what I eat. Anyways, have a great weekend all!

Isolation but not to overcompensate. I did for calves and the results weren't really impressive as my right was still much bigger. You definitely want to mix in a lot of isolated movements anyway to work all supporting areas more intensely and increase muscle separation.

Gotcha, so not necessarily one sided training to try and counteract, if I'm understanding correctly.

Weighed in at 165# this morning. Didn't completely fall off the wagon this weekend, so I guess that's good.

Started with 2 caps of IGNIT3 and 2 caps EP1C UNLEASHED today, paired with LJ100. Preworkout today was BodyForge 2.0. Will be using stim-free pre's while on IGNIT3 as the stims in that should be plenty. Invictus should arrive today, so will start that tonight or tomorrow.

Cardio, bike
Leg Press machine x 170,190,210# - 3 x 12
Split Squats x bar - 3 x 10
Leg extensions x 110# - 3 x 10
Seated Leg Curls x 90# - 3 x 10
Leg Press machine Calves x 210# - 3 x 12
Ab machine Crunches x 75# - 3 x 12
Barbell Hip Thrusts x bar - 3 x 10

Invictus has arrived! First dose will be tomorrow post-workout!

Quick chest workout.

Sets of 3x10:
Incline BP: +75#
Incline DB Press x 50#
Incline DB Flys x 20#

Neutral grip push-ups x 18,16,12
Decline Crunches x 15,15,12

Applied 1 ml of INVICTUS to my chest/upper clavicle area and remainder on wrists, post-WO shower. Dropper sucks up in about 0.5 ml increments at a time. Clear liquid is runny, but with a hint of viscosity. Rubs in a bit oily, likely due to the PEG. Slight smell of plastic.

And here we go!

Hate the AM app...

This morning took 4 caps of IGNIT3 pre-WO. Tolerance built up quick regarding any sides, so no real issues anymore like the first day. Noticed that my body core felt like it was drawing heat away from my extremities, so limbs were a bit colder. Felt a bit anxious to get moving on the drive in, so not sure I would take 4 caps all at once on non-WO days.

Close Grip Seated cable rows x 80 x 12, 140 x 10,10,10
Wide grip pull ups (AMRAP) - 8,8,8
Inverted bodyweight row x 10,10,10
Reverse Grip BB Rows +0 x 10, +50 x 10, +60 x 10,10
Lower back ext x 10,10,10
Cardio, treadmill

Tested out some new exercises today to work on mixing things up a bit. I feel I need to work on grip strength a bit, as inverted rows were a challenge more so due to hand strength than muscle failure.

I would highly recommend splitting the invictus dose into two .5ml servings. 1 in the am and 1 in the pm...addressing the two times of the day cortisol peeks.

Yeah, i was initially planning on that, but due to schedule it seemed easier to just do all 1 ml at once. But I'll give it a shot trying to split it as well.

Also noticed that sleep has been seemingly very deep lately, although according to my fitbit I'm still just as active at night. But the feel is like I sleep like a rock. Could be coincidental at this point as I'm only 2 days in on Invictus though.

Hmmmm, not sure. but, I believe the half-life of b-AET to be quite short. if you take it in the AM, I doubt there would be much impact on sleep in the PM.

the pm dose should be in the early evening, after working out (if you workout at night)...should be a few hours before going to bed. If you take when you're going to bed, you've already passed the time in the evening when cortisol has spiked. It may also leave you a little groggy when you wakeup if you don't give it a few hours between your night dose and going to bed.

I work out and shower in the AM. I was timing to try and take advantage of the opened pores for absorption. But curious to hear others opinions on this as well. IronLegion Dma378 bighulksmash thebigt

What I would recommend.

If you workout in the AM, take .5ml after your post workout shower.

you should also do .5ml in the PM...early evening.

Segansational I also wanted to ask you what your macro split is like ? Or how many carbs per meal ... I found not eating carbs after 8 pm on nights I goto bed after 1am leaves me killer starving in the morning. Also my LBS seems to kick up dust soon as I wake . I'd much rather grab my 40g c 50g p 15g f breakfast in the early morning. It makes things a little difficult to do fasted cardio . Weighted calisthenics seems to get me there :D

Well, the masses have spoken. 0.5 ml in AM and 0.5 ml PM will begin tomorrow. Thanks all for the input.

bighulksmash honestly it's been a long time since I counted calories or tracked macros. I probably should get back on it though. A quick check back in myfitnesspal from a week in Feb showed ~30/30/40 for protein/fat/carbs.

Great job tho . Once you get the feel for it . Honestly no need to keep track . I go meal to meal just knowing the breakdown is awesomeness.

Yeah, lately I've been off my game, so i might just track a few days to get myself up to speed...

Worked out in the afternoon today. Popped 3 caps IGNIT3 plus 1 scoop DVST8 pre. 2 caps EP1C Unleashed. ENDUR3+ intra.

Barbell Curls +75#
DB Hammer Curls x 30x10, 35x10,10
Spider Curls +40 x 10,8,8
Chin ups (AMRAP) x 12,9,10
DB kickbacks x 30#
Close grip presses +40#
Crunches x 20,16,15

Tried doing Bench dips today and felt sharp pain in my right wrist. So stopped that real quick. Tried doing resistance band triceps, broke the damn handle off again. FML. Can't do much triceps at home...

Got a compliment recently at work on my arms, so I must be doing something right. Strength on Curls is definitely going up, but still need a bit more triceps development.

Honestly getting the itch to compete. Know I'd get schooled on stage. So many weak points. But anyone who has, what's the minimum amount of time you'd give to get into contest shape for a first timer? 16 weeks, 20 weeks?

Just for sh!ts and giggles, here's a quick post-WO snap.

looking good buddy!

Solid Pump!!

Thanks my man, with that combo and the heat yesterday I was sweating bullets too.

Took 2 caps IGNIT3 kind of late in the day, so my sleep wasn't all that restful last night. But took 0.5 ml Invictus pre-bed and had no grogginess this morning.

Lot of stuff going on in my personal life, so I've just been a bit off my game lately. Felt a bit out of sorts today - not sure if it's the heat, lack of carbs (added a scoop of WMS intra), or over stimmed. Motivation was lacking so cut the workout a bit short.

Cardio, bike
Rotator Cuff Ex x 2.5 x 10,10
Seated BB Shoulder Press +40#
DB Laterals x 15#
Plate Raises x 10# (took a page from Joedoubledose)
Reverse Incline Flys x 15#
Abs, Decline Crunches x 15,15,12

For the older fellas, what are your thoughts on DHEA? I've read that most of the data is conflicting, so not for muscle building purposes, but more for general health/well-being. Thinking about low dosing, maybe 25 or 50 mgs?

Low motivation is creeping in... 2 caps IGNIT3 + 1 scoop DVST8 this AM was too much. Had to drop half the DVST8. Feeling fat. Need to up cardio and watch the diet this week. That said, I weighed in yesterday at 162# so down a few lbs (mostly water weight), even though I look puffy.

Cardio, bike
Front Squats +90#
Leg Press machine x 190,210,230#
Leg Press Machine Calves x 210#
Leg extensions x 110#
Seated Leg Curls x 90#
Barbell Hip Thrusts x bar

Update:
Well, tracked my macros today to see where it was netting out and was just about spot on (if not a little low on protein). Added an extra scoop of Whey pre-bed and hit my target. N of 1, but it's a start.

29/31/40 p/f/c

Im 32 . When i was 30 I ran dhea too try and fix my ed . It worked for about 4 months.

I'm a little older than you, so perhaps it's worth a shot, again purely for health/well-being purposes. Although, I've also heard it should be ran with pregnenolone.

Had to travel for work yesterday, so macros definitely suffered. High on carbs and low on protein, relatively sedentary. Hopefully today I'll be back on track being back to a usual routine.

Really missing my stimmed pre's. IGNIT3 just isn't cutting it for the AM. Switched back to Invictus just in AM post-WO.
Dma378, hit some rest-pauses on Incline Bench this AM. Felt strange, but definitely made it harder vs the first set without any pause.

3 sets of 10, except where indicated:

Cardio, treadmill
Rotator Cuff Ex x 2.5#
Incline BP +90#
Incline DB Press x 40,45,45#
Low cable Crossovers x 3 plates
Seated Chest Press, neutral grip x 100,112.5,125#
Abs: Knee raises x 15,15,12
Machine Crunches x 62.5 x 12,12,12

Good lifts bro . Yes dhea and preg go well together. Have you tried invictus before bed ?

Thanks man. Switching back to high reps vs supersetting at 5x5, just to give my body a chance to readapt to something different.

Dosing (and TDs in general) is honestly inconvenient at night time. I read the feedback about split dosing, but I'll be continuing just with the one time per day.

Been there ! I did that with gvt and 531 then just bodyweight for a month . Now iam back on gvt priming for my big run . Good 1 on the dose . I prefer mornings as well .

Don't know why, but some mornings on IGNIT3 I am feeling very hypo and some mornings I have no problem. Hit hard this morning and had to stop to eat some crackers and Gatorade before my workout. If this continues, I may have to eat breakfast before working out...

Also, I've been noticing deeper sleep lately. Vivid dreams as well. Anyone else experience this on Invictus?

Saw an article online with some different back movements, so tried them out.

Single Arm Barbell Row +45# - stood to the side and felt a really good isolation in my lats.
Pull up negatives x 5,4,3 - these were extremely hard, even without weight.
Close grip Lat pulldowns x 100,110,110#
EZ Bar Rows, head against Incline bench +50#
Low back ext x 3 x 10
Ab machine Crunches x 62.5 x 12,12,9

Let me know if you want to try out our DHEA TD, I'll get a bottle or two for you to try out.

The best thing to do concerning DHEA is to get a DHEA-s blood test. Here is the endocrine chart that shows where DHEA is in the system:

Appreciate the offer! As you can see, TDs are not my favorite from a convenience standpoint. What's doing look like?

Just a quick update :

On vacation through Wed, so probably won't get workouts in, but a lot of walking will be had.

Spilled half my bottle of Invictus the other morning, straight down the drain. So my advice to IronLegion would be to have a pump vs a dropper if possible, so that if it tips over it doesn't all leak out. We'll see how many doses I have left... I've been switching between 1 ml and 0.5 ml x 2 dosing. When doing the latter it's been chest and thighs.

Sleep has been seemingly deep. Dreams I remember in the AM are still present, although may be due more to the DAA/LJ100 I'm taking than Invictus.

Sorry bud, I know that's no fun to lose product that way.

To answer your question about a pump. We chose glass very carefully, we could have made the packaging and shipping cheaper if we'd used plastics ... but, that's not what's good for our customers. You risk the plastics breaking down over time with the solvents, and even if it's not visibly noticeable breakdown, we'd prefer not to risk introducing other chemicals into the solution and exposing our customers to them. We want as little plastic as possible.

Weighed in at 163.5# today. Not surprising given no workouts and pigging out while on vacation.

EZ Bar Curls +0x12, +70x10,10,10
Single Arm Machine Curls x 12.5 + plate x 10,10,10
Rope Curls x 6 plates x 10, 5 plates x 10,10
Rope Pressdowns x 7 plates x 10,10,10
V bar pressdowns x 110x10, 120x10, 130x10
Dips x 12,10,10 - stopped the last two sets early due to pain in left elbow.
Cardio, elliptical

Past two days I've been eating a half serving of Trader Joe's Granola Clusters Cereal pre-WO to just get some early carbs in, so I don't get the hypo feeling in the AM. About 17 g carbs.

Shoulder Press Machine, neutral grip: 37.5x12, 87.5x10,10,10
Machine Laterals x 40#

Supersets:
DB front raises x 15#, 12#, 12#
Incline DB Laterals x 15#, 12#, 12#

Upright Cable Rows x 40#
DB Shrugs x 65#
Ab machine Crunches x 62.5x15,12,12
Cardio, treadmill

Pretty consistently able to hit about 2000-2100 net cals average per day / for the week, when taking activity levels into account based on myfitnesspal and fitbit readings. Pending my next weigh in, I may try dropping cals a bit. However, it's been hard to get a true read since I've been on partial weeks tracking with vacation, etc. So we'll see.

Curious what your goals are? Recomp or bulk? The reason I ask is 2000 Cals is pretty low.

Well, isn't the goal always recomp?? I kid, but usually I'm in some state of flux. This is not far off from maintenance cals for me, but currently I'm trying to lose weight. Somewhat unsuccessfully at this point. Weighed in at 164.5#, 16.7% BF. So up a lb and a tenth of a percentage. I know that it's my weekend diet that's killing me when I go off track, as summer vacations/events get me every time. Was hoping that blunting cortisol would help, but so far not sure. Will probably try dropping a few extra cals this week to see if I can adjust a bit.

Lol. Diet is my nemesis as well. Have you tried the ABCDE otherwise known as the Delta 1250? Check this link out:

Interesting, have you tried it? Seems like a scheme I could get behind. The workouts switching between GVT also sounds killer.

Today's workout I hit cardio first. No slacking!

Incline BP +0x12, +90x10, +100x10,8 - Did this with suicide grip, rest-pause.
Low Incline DB Press x 45#
Low cable Crossovers x 3 plates
Chin ups x 13,10,8 - was watching the Olympics yesterday and the gymnasts inspired me to hit some extra biceps.
Seated chest press, neutral grip x 112.5#
Ab machine Crunches x 62.5#

Honestly, if I could, I'd probably just hit biceps, abs, and quads and call it a day. Feel those areas lacking right now.

Also, looks like I've got about an application or two left of Invictus, so lost about a week's worth in the spill. Tomorrow marks 3 weeks.

Curious what your goals are? Recomp or bulk? The reason I ask is 2000 Cals is pretty low.

Also, I am basing that number off net calories. So that takes into account the cals I burn above maintenance when working out. So for example, yesterday I ate around 2400 cals - but that was because I had "earned" additional cals above the resting target, based on activity.

I half hearted tried the ABCDE diet last year. When I did the bulking phase I added fat to the waistline so fast it alarmed me so I stopped the diet. I'm giving it a go starting this week. Since I'm a hard gainer my maintenance is 2400, bulk goal is 3000 and diet goal is 1900. Old Snags (RIP) used a variation of this: bulk for a week then clean cut the next.

Well, if you can, throw some thoughts of how it's going on the diet this time around in your log. If it works for you, I may give it a shot.

Cardio, treadmill
Single Arm Barbell Rows +45#
Pull ups x 14,10,12
Close Grip Lat Pulldowns x 110# - felt like I really targeted my lower lats/insertion
EZ Bar Rows, head on bench +50#
Pull up negatives x 4,3,3
Lower back ext x 10,10,10
Abs, knee raises x 20,12,10

Applied my last dose of Invictus today as well. May post another set of progress pics soon.

Mixed it up today. 1 scoop of Elix1r plus 2 caps Ignit3 pre, 6 caps Hydro3. 2 scoops endur3+ intra.

Cardio, treadmill - left ankle and hammy felt a bit off, so had to back off on intensity.
Front Squats +0x12, +90#
Leg Press machine x 210#
Seated Leg Curls x 90#
Leg extensions x 110#
Leg Press Machine Calves x 210 x 3 x 12

Just felt like I was going through the motions, so hit the major exercises and called it a day.
