Salvia powder melting?

So i bought some salvia powder last year and just have had it in my closet with all my other supps. I capped about half of it and when i took it out to start using it a couple weeks ago i noticed that the salvia had melting in the caps. THen today, i open the container witht he rest of the salvia in it and the whole thing is melted into a huge hard blob!

wtf? It was never super hot and all my other powders and supps where in the same place and nothing happened to them...

Sounds like there was condensation somewhere, either on the powder, your hands when you capped em or in your closet.

This is one of the main reasons why DCP is so difficult (and expensive) to make. The powder is HIGHLY hygroscopic and will pick up any ambient moisture at all - rendering it into a sticky glob.

yeah thats exactly what happened to mine! Im gonna chop it up, guess i dont really need to cap the rest lol

but the only salvia i know of is the one that makes you hallucinate.

in this thread they are talking about salvia miltiorrhiza, the one that makes u hallucinate is salvia divinorum

and salvia divinorum was just banned in Ohio, and a few other states. It will be completely illegal in the next year.

Go get sme cornstarch...mix it by hand.

Then, as it dries add more starch throw it in a blender.

You'll be able to somewhat regranulate it.

Can u explain this more in depth? What do you mean mix it by hand? Mix waht? its hard as a rock lol

And can i use like pancake powder or WMS instead of cornstarch? lol

hm....try heating it in the microwave and tell me if it softens first.

ok before i do that can i use anything besides cornstarch to get the moisture out? Cause once i heat it i have to go for it...or it will be stuck the container forever! lol

flour should work, yes.

haha yeah. What do you do with the SM to keep it from not absorbing moisture before/after it has been capped?

A good capsule seal, generally - but that is why I went to tablets.
