RickRock is finding his abs and making some LEAN GAINS!!

Thanks for all the input. I see you are an early riser like me!! 4 AM comes early and its 5 AM cardio tomorrow:run:
Ya, I'm usually up around 2:00am, and then around 5:00 or so. Damn Prami sleep! But yeah, always been an early morning person, I hate to waste any part of daylight!

Hi ho, hi ho....off for fasted cardio I go!...:run:

I'm going to try and keep the Cal's pretty low today. Somewhere in the 1500-1800 range.

Hey, how'd the Cardio go today?

This made me LOL!

Cardio went great this morning. I am liking the stack of Ephedra and Adderllin :) I will probably stick to one adderllin with 25mg Ephedra at least until my Alpha T-2 runs out then probably going to go to 2.

Oh, you're running Alpha-T2 with the Ephedrine and Adderlin! I know Alpha-T2 with Bronkaid/Caffeine is amazing, so I'm sure Adderlin can only make it stronger! I'm glad you like it, and I'm sure it'll do great things for you.

Yeh I've been running the Alpha T-2 for a few weeks now and probably have about 3 weeks left or so. It seems like a good stack so we will see what it does ;)

I do have some DAA I just got that I'm going to throw in since my S4 will run out any day now, and that will help bring up test levels if there was any suppression from the SARM. probably run that up until my next cycle. Less than 5 weeks away!!:woohoo:

i think the DAA in Wyked has definitely upped my test levels cause my back and shoulders have broken out pretty bad. and my face is quite a bit more oily than it ever has been since i was 17 lol. it's good stuff.

Good to hear. I've never used DAA before so I'm curious on how it does for me :)

Well, I'm ready to go kill it in the gym this morning, though I'm feeling DOMS more so than before my little break so hopefully this soreness will not affect lifts too much. I expected to be a little sore since I didn't do anything intense for a week

Since I didn't eat a lot yesterday, I'm hungry already this morning. I have over 6 hours to fast breaking meal so this should be interesting! :food:

Good luck man! I hate exercising on an empty stomach!

Well the thing is I'm used to working out fasted every day. I'm just not used to being hungry first thing in the morning. Once my preworkout sets in, it will probably help a little with the hunger

The Bronkaid will DEFINITELY, 100% get rid of hunger! I guarantee it!

No bronkaid or adderllin today. That's only on cardio days. The preworkout helps a lot though...just not as much as the adderllin and Bronkaid ;)

Man it ain't that hard. I just out a whole pound of steak all I had earlier was achocolate and blueberry prot smoothie and that's it for today. Just gets easy onceyou get used to the fasting part.

Agreed. The low cals really isnt that hard anymore for me. It would probably get to me more if I did it every day, but its only every other day and in between those days I get to pig out...:food:

Well, this morning was a great workout, but my quads were sore as hell so I passed on Squats today. It was hard to take stairs all day today at work. The rest of the workout was great, strength was like it has been and I had a great pump once again and the vascularity was nice.

Cardio again tomorrow morning and I will try to kill it again and drop them cals down. I am hoping to see some nice changes by the weekend :fingersx:

For sure man they will come. My abs are already better than in my last pic.

So, funny story! This morning I went to my boxing class. Well, there was this woman in there using the bag next to me, so we partnered up half-way through the class. Anyways, after the class, I saw her going to town on the elliptical. Well, I was walking by her, and she said bye, so naturally, I tried to give her a compliment, right (who wouldn't). Well, the next thing out of my mouth is a set of words I wish I could take back. I exclaimed to her, "Wow, you're killing that elliptical"! Now, obviously, I meant it as a compliment, but she looked at me confused, and kind of crushed. I felt so bad, but I didn't realize until I got home what I had said! Uggh, I hate when I speak without thinking first! :D Anywho, just my ****up of the day!
--Brian
P.S.
Great job Rock! And I'm with you, the low calories aren't that bad. It's the low sugar thing that's killing me! Of course I also use Bronkaid daily, so that helps a LOT with appetite suppression.

Hopefully you get another shot to redeem yourself!!

Cardio this morning was great. I actually contradicted myself and went with 2 adderllin with the Bronkaid already to try it out. Needless to say I will probably stay with that because I was loving the effects of it!! Sweat fest!!

I'm glad to hear it worked man! So you did 2 Adderlin, 1 Bronkaid, and 1 Alpha-T2? The Bronkaid (according to research) requires aspirin. I always used Alpha-Yohimbine because it cancels out the bad, jittery effects of the Bronkaid/Caffeine I was using. Anywho, I'm glad it's working for you, and Monday I'll have to figure something out to say to her before-hand!

I haven't added aspirin yet. What exactly is the aspirin supposed to do anyways? And I have heard to use baby aspirin instead of regular too. Any input on that?

Baby aspirin yes, that's what I used when I used aspirin. Now, I don't use aspirin. I use Rauwolscine (Alpha Yohimbine) as an Alpha Antagonist, which helps to counteract the negative sides of the stimulants (less jitters/anxiety). Works better IMO. So Ephedrine, Caffeine, Rauwolscine.

Here's some stuff I dug up on the whole aspirin with EC...

- Regarding Aspirin
Popular ephedra supplements of the past often contained aspirin (or its herbal equivalent, white willow bark). I do not endorse adding aspirin to the EC stack. If you wish to add it, stick to the baby aspirin (81mg). I have several reasons for this

1) The major study(24 weeks!) on the efficacy and safety of the EC stack when used over a long term for weight loss did not include aspirin. Yes, it is VERY effective without the aspirin.

Quoting Brian Hay****'s article,
In a randomized, placebo-controlled, double blind study, 180 obese patients were treated by a calorie restricted diet and either an ephedrine/caffeine combination (20mg/200mg), ephedrine (20 mg), caffeine (200 mg) or placebo three times a day for 24 weeks. Average weight loss was significantly greater with the combination than with placebo from week 8 to week 24. Weight loss in both the ephedrine only and the caffeine only groups was similar to that of the placebo group.

2) The "effective dosage" at which aspirin was added to the EC stack was at 325 mg. 325 mg of aspirin 3 times a day puts you at risk for developing ulcers and other gastrointestinal symptoms. Again, if you would like to use it to decrease risks/chances of high blood pressure, stick to the 81mg aspirin.

Quoting RxList's aspirin page
Doses of 1,000 mg per day of aspirin caused gastrointestinal symptoms and bleeding that, in some cases, were clinically significant. In the largest postinfarction study (the Aspirin Myocardial Infarction Study (AMIS) with 4,500 people), the percentage of incidences of gastrointestinal symptoms for the aspirin (1,000 mg of a standard, solid-tablet formulation) and placebo-treated subjects, respectively, were stomach pain (14.5%, 4.4%), heartburn (11.9%, 4.8%), nausea and/or vomiting (7.6%, 2.1%), hospitalization for GI disorder (4.9%, 3.5%). In the A.I. and other trials, aspirin-treated patients had increased rates of gross gastrointestinal bleeding. Symptoms and signs of gastrointestinal irritation were not significantly increased in subjects treated for unstable angina with buffered aspirin in solution.

3) Aspirin is an NSAID (nonsteriodal antiinflammatory drug), and NSAIDs should not be used long term at dosages of ~1000 mg a day except if under the supervision of a physician.

- Aspirin is supposed to add to the stack's effectiveness by decreasing the body's natural resistance to the stimulant effects. The more I've researched, however, the less I'm convinced that it is necessary or helpful. I can only say from personal experience that aspirin seems to make little or no difference.

If you decide to use aspirin, I would recommend the smaller dosage/pills ("baby aspirin"). I think taking three adult aspirin a day for several days is not a good idea.

- Facts about Aspirin
Aspirin or white willow bark (its herbal equivalent) was a constant ingredient of ephedra supplements used before. It’s not recommended to include aspirin to EC Stack but if you want to replace it with baby aspirin (81mg). There are various reasons to avoid taking aspirin. It’s medically proved that supplements containing only ephedrine and caffeine are far more effective than those with aspirin. ECA Stack contained 325mg in each dose and taking such dosage 3 times a day decreases the risks of high blood pressure, gastrointestinal symptoms including ulcers and others. As a nonsteriodal anti-inflammatory drug aspirin is dangerous to use 3 times a day at the dosage of about 1000 mg. And it’s allowed only by physicians.
:deal:

Also Rick, if you're taking Adderllin with the bronkaid, you won't need aspirin since Adderllin has white willow bark! Score! Stuff was made to stack with Ephedrine, i swear. :D

:goodpost:Thanks a lot for that post BB! That saves me a lot of time and confusion. A lot of good info in that post. I agree that Adderllin and Bronkaid is the shizz. I'm enjoying the heck out of it, and its been very effective on cardio so far.

Wow bro, this posts sums everything up.

On a side not Rick, how long time the next cycle starts ??

Next cycle starts 4 weeks from monday :firedevil:

Well today was a weight training day, but I ate more like a rest day. I was super busy all day today. I was off of work and doing yard work sweating my arse off and I had my fast breaking meal then had nothing until my last meal. Probably a 2k cal day on top of burning an a$$load of cals outside today. I'm looking much leaner by the day. I do have this mental thing going on though where I just feel like I'm getting too small, but I go through this everytime I cut. I hate seeing some measurements go down, because it makes you think you are losing too much muscle. But I know fat is stored everywhere, and when you cut up your chest, arms, back, legs, shoulders, and waist then everything will get smaller as you lean out.

I dropped some serious weight in the last few days. I weighed in at 176 this morning and was 180 a few days ago. What that means is I started Lean Gains on April 4th at 196 and here it is May 20th at 176. 20 freakin lbs in around 6 weeks!! I think that is some pretty damn good progress especially considering how much strength I have retained through this. I now have 4 weeks left to try and get my bodyfat as low as I can before I start my cycle. I'm sure I will be under 10% but I'm not sure exactly where....hopefully closer to 8-9% so I can focus my cycle more on size and less on fat loss. I will still stay on Lean Gains/IF through it and I dont plan on gaining any fat at all on it. It will be either a lean bulk or recomp depending on how happy I am with my current BF% at that time. I'm defenitely ready to add some mass but I want to be lean too...:saevilw:

For cardio tomorrow morning I will probably skip the gym and do some jogging around my neighborhood for something different. The weather is beautiful right now and a little change to the monotony would be nice!!:run:

wow man, when ya put it like that you have made amazing progress. congrats bro! im still hovering around 205.4lbs which kinda sucks. need to tighten up my diet and increase cardio it appears.

WEEKLY UPDATE!!

Last week: Weight-180 BF-11.6%

This week: Weight-178 BF-11.1%

I'm pretty happy with these numbers. I was around 176 the other day but filled up a little yesterday cooking out and had a few beers. (First time I've had alcohol since new years) It was my daughters birthday party and had friends and family over and we had a pretty good time after the party. The weight is still coming off at a nice pace. I aim for at least a half percent per week drop in BF, and so far have been able to maintain that. Things are going pretty good.

Went for a nice run around the neighborhood yesterday for cardio. There were a lot of hills and it was a pretty taxing run and I did it at a pretty good pace. I was sweating like there was no tomorrow when I got done. I would estimate no less than 500 cals burned in the 40 minute run if not more. Today I'm resting up and getting ready to hit the weights hard in the morning.

I did notice that my last weight workout, I had a little loss in strength on a couple lifts. There a few reasons this may have happened, but I think the most likely is that it wasn't my normal workout time. I am used to working out around 6 AM, but I was off that day and it was done right before breaking fast from about 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. I felt pretty drained and out of energy and it was right at the end of my fast. Tomorrow will be able to tell me more about strength and if its down any.

I broke my fast about 2 hours late today, and I am going to try and keep cals a little lower to make up for yesterday. I'm thinking at this point I may be 2 weeks away from being under 10% and hitting my goal of being in single digits. If I can maintain my pace of losing .5-.7% per week, then I'll be there ;)

Great job man! Especially your cardio dedication! Unfortunately, I can't run anymore, so I'm still working on new ways to get my cardio in, but even when I could run, I was nowhere NEAR as dedicated as you are now! Excellent job sir!

Thanks a lot fellas!! I'm going to give the next 4 weeks hell and get as lean as I can before I start the cycle...single digits here I come!!:run:

In the 11s? Damn bro you have really been hitting it hard. I'm proud of your progress. Leans Gains and your determination is really paying off for you.

Well done!!! :clap2:

And I'll hold you to the 8 or 9 % bf bro. You keep at it and it is yours. I have NO DOUBT you will be there.

Seconded! You're doing great! I'm liking Lean Gains as well, and I'm only doing the fasted part/reduced calories/reduced sugar parts, not much cardio at all, and I'm leaning out quite well. But your progress is AMAZING ME! Great job!

Just keep shredding away at it. What are your calories looking like right now?

Right now I'm around 1500 or so on off days, maybe 1700 on weight days, and about 2000 on boxing days (I drink a soda on boxing days, so I really love boxing now :D). I can easily get 5000+ calories in a day, so reducing my calories to these levels are a little difficult, but the 4 hour eating window helps a lot! And, I am gaining strength and leaning out (just maxed out the leg-press machine @ 675 for 5 reps :D Very happy about this one, considering I only weigh 140!) Anywho, thanks for the encouragement guys, I have really grown to respect this lifestyle, and "lean gains"+you guys=awesomeness!

Thanks man!! I hope I do get there, and if I don't it wont be from a lack of trying. But in the words of Yoda...do or do not..there is no try!!

Thanks bro! Thats great that you are having success in your diet. Leasn Gains is no joke, and I believe this is the only way I will ever cut weight again.

Just keep shredding away at it. What are your calories looking like right now?

My cals have probably been around 2800 lifting days with around 200g carbs and less than 1800 on cardio days usually with less than 50g carbs. So far those numbers seem to be best.

Damn didn't see your log, should have known you were logging the LG diet!

Subbed, got some reading to do:)

Well, todays workout was a good one. Had great pumps, vascularity, strength, etc. No complaints whatsoever. 95s on DB Bench felt a little too light. I did 8 reps with ease. I am going to try out 100s next week :) I was grinning ear to ear in the gym this morning. Making pretty decent gains while dropping off a considerable amount of weight. It is hard to judge if I have added any LBM or not, because I'm constantly losing weight and shrinking in a sense as my measurements go down. Arms still measure between 16.5 and 16.75" and they were around 17" when I started the diet. I cant complain about that though because the definition in them especially my triceps have increased a lot and they have really cut up along with everything else. I took some progress pics. I wanted to take them with our good camera, but it was dead from my daughters Birthday party this weekend so I had to use my phone just like before. The pics dont do justice as it blurs out a lot of definition, but you can still see progress.

Great job man! Your arms are massive, and that vein in your right arm is about to pop, just so you know...! I've been working for tri's like yours for a LONG time! And I can definitely see you having abs in a few weeks with the progress you've made already, and the pace you've been going at. Hell, the outline of your abs has already come in, and your rib cage is showing too. Given that your shoulders, arms, and traps are DEFINITELY leaner, and the last place for you to lose fat from is your abs, that's pretty much all you've got left to lose! So ya, keep going man, you'll be there very soon! I'd be willing to bet by the summer you'll be a completely different person!
P.S.
What exercise is it that made your shoulder bulge out like that in today's pic? I wasn't even aware that muscle was there! I've gotta start doing those too.

Thanks a lot man for the kind words! You must be talking about my front delts? My Delts are one of my strong points and I've built them up pretty well with heavy upright rows and lateral raises (front ,side, and rear). I also throw in cable crossovers every now and then that really make them burn. :)
