protien drink at night

If you naturally wakeup in the middle of the night, then yes, its a great idea, but if you dont wake up naturally, dont force yourself to.
 
My question is, should i wake up from sleeping at night and drink a protien shake? like around 3am?

A good alternative is to take a slower digesting protein just before bed (e.g., casein protein powder). If you wake up additionally in the middle of the night you can always add another in, but I wouldn't intentionally interupt your sleep cycle to do it.

I drink a whey shake made with 16oz "No Sugar Added" Soy milk before bed. Ends up being like 80g of protein and just 10 carbs.. gets me through the night!
