Primordial Performance 4-week contest for FREE AndroMass!

For one day i ate low carbs to try and "trick" my body and perhaps increase my insulin sensitivity. I'm experimenting with a lot of stuff because i ultimately want to do a show in a few months :D

You should check out the Primordial Performance forums. You can follow the contest preparations of Matt Porter, our Sponsored Athlete. He gives alot of useful insight.

Thanks alot for the tip my good friend, Reading up on it now! Hopefully it'll help me take this contest :yup:

Funny when we only listen to the scale when it says something in our favor. Down another pound. When it goes up we say don't worry about the scale, worry about the mirror.

Honestly i just go with the mirror now, I've harassed myself enough with numbers and i almost lost sight of what i really was trying to accomplish. I was turning into more of a power lifter than anything else when my actual goal was to develop an awe inspiring physique. Now i'm on the right track but it's a shame i didn't think about it earlier. Healthy ego is ok but when you go from lifting 300 pounds to lifting almost less than half of that you need to make sure you lose the ego fast. I don't regret it too much though because it gave me a solid strength base but it just goes to show you that "numbers aren't everything" :veryhappy:

I loves going HEAVY!

Me too, one of the hard things when I did my contest prep and dropped 32lbs was the loss in strength. I'm recovering it now over the past month, and it comes back pretty easily, and the best thing is it feels like you're gaining strength each workout! It's a bit depressing that you're using lighter weights than you're accustomed to, but I agree it's all about your frame of mind.

Set expectations that are right for you, and always challenge yourself. Don't be discouraged or disappointed by setbacks, be motivated to do better! Y'all seem to be doing great, keep it up and make it happen!

I agree, I'll probably go back to lifting heavy at one point or another to improve my strength again if needed. The thing is i could pop out say 10 reps 285 on incline but it'd be fairly fast like less than 15 seconds for the entire set and now i'm upwards of 30 seconds using less weight a set and it's kicking my ass! I used weights half as heavy but my chest has NEVER been this sore. Well see how it goes!

Thanks Milas. Although body fat reduction is the current goal, it is tossing on more iron that feeds the fire for me. Just how I work, but I think you knew that already.

I had an inkling... call it intuition! ;)

Finished cardio for the day, Was really hard considering i annihilated my legs yesterday.

Well yesterday morning weigh in is day 12 and 9.8 pounds down.

I want that Androhard sooooooooooooooooo BAD :yup:

Damn dude, you are not joking around!

I followed your log last time you used the AndroHard v1 LV, and you loved it. Hope you get a chance at this one too!

I really did love it and I made the LV bottle last 6 weeks, I would love to try the new version and use it at the full dose for 4 weeks.

Love me some Androhard :yup:

How is everyone doing thus far...good I hope.

I'm doing good but one thing doesn't make sense to me, I feel more lean but my pic's aren't saying it, Really sucks because i'm putting a ton of effort in and not getting out for some reason. Honestly maybe i just need a slight tan because i'm as white as a piece of paper and you can't make out anything. Gonna re-evaluate my diet and training. I'm going back to normal training i think all HIT is doing for me is letting me fully recover since I've been on it for a little over a month and i don't notice much of a difference i always leave that one set feeling like i can do more. Well see... tomorrow i'm going to 3 sets again. Maybe volume is right for me considering my initial almost 90lbs gained was doing around 2 hour sessions. It was still working but i think i need new exercises. :grumpy:

I'm up 2lbs from yesterday :P but I think a bunch is water retention. Still even at that i made good progress for 2 weeks, i'll check tomorrow to be sure

Are you taking any measurements? If you can do sprints you will melt fat off.

Honestly i don't care about the measurements, As long as i can SEE a difference then i know i'm doing everything right. I'm guessing those higher calorie days for training didn't work too well but i do know what works and i'm gonna go back to it and eat the same calories on training days as i do on off days. I've been going balls to the wall with cardio, Every off day i burn 300-400 calories and one day i burned 730 calories but it's always at least 300. Well just have to see where i end up in another week or so. I WILL NOT GIVE UP!:12:

Now that's the attitude to have:D

I've had a ton of ups and downs since I've started, This didn't bring me down it just frustrated me but hopefully my gungho attitude will help others out :)

You may want to re-evaluate your nutrition and really scrutinize. Use something like Livestrong.com to get a calorie baseline. If you're truly in a caloric deficit, you'll lose weight. If the pics aren't showing it, you need to do something more.

For cardio, you could bump that up too. During my contest prep I was burning ~1000-1500 calories a day from cardio alone, plus weights in the AM for another 700 or so calories.

Step it up or get left in the dust! We're all here for support and to kick your butt! :firedevil:

"You must spread around reputation before giving it to Milas again" :)

The funny thing is i am losing weight too apparently i'm "5lbs down from 236 to 231" I just finished training back/bi's and did it the way i used to but this time with emphasized negatives and really good form *which i never used* EXCELLENT session without a doubt! Definitely working on the diet today.

Did my cardio for the day i should be in a 1500 deficit + 400 calories burned from cardio today.

Glad to see this thread is really motivating you guys!
Oh yeah. Feeling drained after work or don't want to get up early for pre-work gym time? IS THAT GOING TO HELP YOU MAKE YOUR GOAL????? "No" Damn it, your right. Let's do this! (This is how that conversation usually goes in my head. Works on dietary temptations too.)

Taman

You fired me up. I was dragging all day and was going to head on home but change of heart and a change of plans has me heading to the treadmill.

Appreciate ya,

FA

Awesome, good for you FA. Irony is that I got caught up in something at work and have big storms rollin' in so I have to skip tonights cardio and head straight home. Peace!

This thread has been great motivation.

Rocky up and downs for me, but overall I'm happy and looking forward to seeing everyones results.

I've noticed more of a difference in how my clothing fits then anything else however, still slightly too much fat to get the definition I'm looking for. Soon enough.

Made up for it by rolling out early this AM and hitting 35 minutes of variable resistance cardio. 250 cals and the fires stoked all day long. Tonight: Dead lifts and various other leg work! :)

Glad to see we're all still plugging away. I did VO2 max KB snatches yesterday. Traditional cardio is on the menu today after work.

The good news was I did get to the gym and I did some work on my arms and 15 minutes on the treadmill. (Deal is I get to use fitness center at hotel I work at as long as actual paying guests are not displaced) We have an Air Force conference in house so guests came up and all of the cardio machines were in use so I had to get done. Still worked up a bit of a sweat.

Bad news, sabotaged at home again. Dinner was pizza and cake left over from my wife's work party. I have been better but I was defeated pretty handily last night. I need to do better, but battling my bride is not in the cards. I will just do what I can do, and see each obstacle for what it is, an opportunity to be stronger.

I will try to get to gym earlier tonight so I can be further along when the air force meeting breaks.

I can't recall where I heard this, but in relation to body recomps and breaking old habits and cycles of crappy eating, "it's ok to be a bit of a d-ck." I don't wanna be that way, but the polite route never seemed to work.

Pretty good! I got my workout in on monday, and got another one in today before my night rotation started. Lots of NEPA activity with lawn mowing, grease-the-groove pullups while doing housework and building my warpost for escrima training.

Glad to see things are still going good.

Not to bad, just plugging along and staying pretty much on course. Down about 5-6 pounds since we started and about 1/2 inch(more or less) off of the waist. It has gotten to the point I can tell if I am retaining water based on the vascularity of the underside of my right forearm. 3 point caliper totals have dropped from 59 to 48, so I think we are moving along nicely.

nah, not really just i'll have gone 3 days with very little sleep then tonight being the first good night sleep (and no alcohol) so i doubt i'll be feeling all 100% for it

Did cardio for the day, diet is consistent and training is kicking ass. I've jumped up 2lbs in the last few days but I've been in a calorie deficit so i know this new training is working ;) Getting leaner and leaner as days pass by so i'm pretty confident I've got everything set up the way i want now.

Weight is the same, but I have been going pretty hard. Gym still had a lot of the military folks, but I was able to get up there earlier yesterday. I got about 1.5 miles on the treadmill before the crowd came in. Tonight I have some thing that my wife said we have to go to, some high school graduation party for a friend's kid. Sounds dumb, but it will constitute my off day. Friday, this group will be out of the hotel and I can give it a full go after work, unless the new group takes the gym over. There is some weightlifting/body building competition in Montgomery, AL this weekend if anyone is going and needs a hotel room, let me know.

I have drank more liquor in the last 2 days than I normally do in a month. Damn business trips. Not bad on eating but no gym time either.

Honestly, I am not really a heavy drinker any more, but being on cycle makes me miss alcohol. I could really go for a really good craft beer right now.

Nice man. Your progress has been really good so far. One of the huge benefits in measurements is you are able to continually see the progress made, and it helps you keep going.

Still going here too - although ran into some allergies and bronchitis - I actually think it helped me lose weight... LOL hopefully it wasn't too much muscle loss I'm down to 201 from 211 plus, but got to make the effort for the fat loss % and see how the after photos go!
Thanks all for a motivating thread!

Thanks for participating. Sorry to hear about the allergies/bronchitis!

Leaner is meaner. Adding weight but looking leaner is always a good thing in my book.

Hey man, off days are definitely needed sometimes. Enjoy the time off and hit it hard when you are back.

good, trying like h_ll to get the fat off

Keep pushing and results will come.

Cardio done for the day, was a bit hard considering i DESTROYED all my last weeks PR's on yesterday's leg session :D I've estimated I've lost at least 6lbs so far but its honestly really hard to tell exactly how much because last week i was 230 and now i'm 233 but i have been in a consistent calorie deficit and maintaining at least 200grams of protein per day. Honestly think i'm putting on some muscle :)
