Prayer Request Thread

I'm not at all upset that you did so. On top of the pm support he's received, we're wrapping him up in the arms of the Lord.

Thank You and God Bless you...I just wanted to throw that out because some people don't like gettin their toes stepped on lol... :flowers1:

Guys and Gals, good morning. Today there will be challenges for all of us, there may even be torments that arise today that want to enslave us in hatred, lust and deception. In the valley is where we must trust in God and know that today you may feel alone in all your troubles. As your brother, I must say you are not alone. Trust in God in these evil times, he understands our faults. Trust in him and he will deliver you from evil.

Please remember today when times get tough, there is a love for you that is so strong it is beyond this world.

Have a great week.

Thank you I really needed a pick me up just now and that helped a ton.

Hi its my first time posting in this thread, but i've got a prayer request. In the last year my father has gone from having two pre cancer lessions removed from his prostate to having full blown lymphoma that turned into a large tumor around and in his heart. Because of the location chemo has been the only option. His cancer is now 90 percent gone with treatment, but without a bone marrow transplant I'm told he would die within a year. The transplant itself is dangerous with a 15% percent death rate and only a 50 percent chance it will prolong his life. I'm currently having to drop out of college to be his caregiver after the surgery. Evidently he'll be totally out of it for 100 days after and need 24/7 care. If its not too much trouble can you pray for my father and pray that i'll be man enough to do what needs to be done for my him....thx

I know the doctors tell you percentages and timelines and it can be very over whelming. My Dad had Sclaraderma, he was suppose to die in 6 months. It has been 20 years since. You must put your faith in GOD and Know HE HAS THE FINAL SAY. We will pray for you, please keep us updated.

A close friend of mine went through this 8 years ago and is still cancer free today. I will pray for him, and for you. May the Lord give you strength to carry on and remain in faith, no matter what the outcome.

Nothing is impossible for God, I admire the fact that you are willing to drop your classes to help your dad out, not everybody is willing to drop school to help their parent 24/7/ God will bless you for this, I will put your father in pettition, take care and God bless.

Deuteronomy:

"And the Lord will take away from thee all sickness..." Deuteronomy 7:15 [If you follow His commands and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior]

Exodus:

"He said, 'If you listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His eyes, if you pay attention to His commands and keep all of His decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.' " Exodus 15:26

This is just a few of GOD's promises, GOD is Great my Brother

"Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He sent forth His word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave." Psalms 107:19-20

"It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man." Psalms 118.8 (this Verse is in the exact center of the Bible! Psalms 117 is the shortest Chapter in the Bible and Psalms 119 is the longest Chapter! Frank's Note: Man is too often guided by greed and profit in medicine and drugs, instead of human compassion for the individual as is the nature of the Lord.)

Having gone through similar issues with both of my parents, I empathize with you very strongly bro. College will be there when your fathers situation is resolved so props to you for setting aside your life and doing what is best for your father, trust you will never regret that decision. I will praying for your father's health and that our Lord gives you the strength you need to get through this stressful time. God bless you and your father.

My man, thats what we are here for.

Thanks again it feels my heart with Joy that we are all here and like I said sometimes I'm reading in here and realize how blessed I am to have my family healthy and strong and to have such great friends..it honestly chokes me up sometimes...Praise the Lord.... :13:

Thank you to everyone who is praying for my wife and I. We are both going in for more tests on Monday morning. Shes is getting an HSG test to check her Fallopian tubes and I'm getting the old swimmers tested. We just found out from her doctor that her 7 day post cycle test of progesterone (should be 20-100 ng/ml , i believe) and her's was "0.8" Please pray that God would guide the doctors in diagnosing the exact issue we are facing, and that he would guide them in treating the situation so we can have children. Thank you to all those who have been faithfully praying.

God bless,

BEAST

No trouble at all brotha...prayers for you, your father and the family!!!

Believe and have faith!!!!

things are starting to lookbetter for me guys. Getting back on track slowly :D

one thing I think everyone should take away.we need to be continually repenting. We need to be in a constant move towards being "in" God.

I first would like to thank everyone for their support and all the prayers for my mother.

I would like to share my store if it’s not too much trouble.

Last week I requested for a prayer for my mother because her liver values were extremely elevated and we didn't know why. And the response from this community has been outstanding!!
It turned after some exams, she had many stones in her gall bladder and it was extremely infected. She got the surgery Friday afternoon to get the gall bladder removed but Friday evening while in recovery her blood pressure got extremely low. They stabilized her and had to open her back up again to since the surgeon said she was bleeding internally, but didn't know from where until he checks it out. After a few hours in surgery they final found out that the liver was bleeding, but didn’t know from where or why since the gall bladder surgery had nothing to do with the liver. By this time they had a liver specialist come in to asses the situation and he them proceeds to tell me that the situation is not look good for her and that they could not stop the bleeding but only contain it. They finally had another doc insert a catheter to map out the liver to see where the bleeding was coming from. They finally found the source and clogged it, but she lost a significant amount of blood during the procedure. They had to give her blood transfusions thru out the night and during the early morning hrs on Saturday.
By 4am Saturday morning they didn’t think she was going to make it because the operation incision was bleeding too much and it was not stopping since she was not able to clot the blood they were giving her along with tons of other blood products. By around 5am or so they told me that her situation was extremely bleak. At around 630am it was looking a little promising as she started to clot the blood (by test results) a little but the cut was still bleeding. Around 7am it seemed to get better, but still bleeding. Around noon Saturday it was looking much better as the incision was not bleeding as much as it was at 4am, but they still had to go back in to unpack the liver on Sunday morning since they packed it to maintain the bleeding on Friday night. Sunday’s surgery went well and the hematoma from the liver was stable, but it can/may rupture at any moment.
So, as of today she is doing fairly well considering how we were on Friday night into early Saturday morning which was living by the minute, she is still in critical but stable condition but I just wanted to thank everyone on here for their thoughts and prayers. I truly know from the bottom of my heart all your thoughts and prayers is what made us pull thru this very long and stressful weekend.

Again a huge thank you from, not only me but my whole family.

Sorry for the long post, but God bless everyone in the AM community and have faith..!! :)

Hello everyone I just received some very bad news about a friend and I would love to have all of your support in prayer so please join with me if you will. A good friend of mine Mike has been going through some issues with his Dad's health and this morning Mike's Dad went to surgery for what they thought was going to be removal of his gall bladder, however when they opened his abdominal cavity they discovered he had large areas of cancer on his liver and pancreas. The surgeon closed the incision and recomended that he be placed in Hospice care immediately. The prognosis is about as bleak as it can be and I am praying for Mike and his family and that his Dad not suffer needlessly. Never the less let God's will be done. Thank you all in advance for the support. God Bless.

God's will be done accordingly, will be praying to God that he takes hold of that liver and pancreas in the name of Jesus!

The following was written by Ben Stein and recited by him on CBS Sunday Morning Commentary.

My confession:

I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejeweled trees, Christmas trees. I don't feel threatened. I don't feel discriminated against. That's what they are, Christmas trees.

It doesn't bother me a bit when people say, 'Merry Christmas' to me. I don't think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto. In fact, I kind of like it. It shows that we are all brothers and sisters celebrating this happy time of year. It doesn't bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu . If people want a creche, it's just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away.

I don't like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don't think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period. I have no idea where the concept came from, that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can't find it in the Constitution and I don't like it being shoved down my throat.

Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship celebrities and we aren't allowed to worship God as we understand Him? I guess that's a sign that I'm getting old, too. But there are a lot of us who are wondering where these celebrities came from and where the America we knew went to.

In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke; it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking.

Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her 'How could God let something like this happen?' (regarding Hurricane Katrina).. Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said, 'I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives.. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?'

In light of recent events... Terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found a few years ago) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK. Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school. The Bible says thou shalt not kill; thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said OK.

Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave, because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he's talking about. And we said okay.

Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves..

Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with 'WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.'

Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing. Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.

Are you laughing yet?

Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it.

Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.

Pass it on if you think it has merit.

If not, then just discard it... No one will know you did. But, if you discard this thought process, don't sit back and complain about what bad shape the world is in.

My Best Regards, Honestly and respectfully,

Ben Stein

I do agree with some of the aspects to this letter for sure.

great post Jim...agree with what Billy Graham's daughter said and the part that starts with "Funny how simple it is for people to trash God"....

Beautiful Tablecloth

Beautiful story..... makes you understand that things happen for a reason.

The brand new pastor and his wife, newly assigned to their first ministry, to reopen a church in suburban Brooklyn, arrived in early October excited about their opportunities. When they saw their church, it was very run down and needed much work. They set a goal to have everything done in time to have their first service on Christmas Eve.

They worked hard, repairing pews, plastering walls, painting, etc, and on December 18th were ahead of schedule and just about finished.

On December 19th a terrible tempest - a driving rainstorm hit the area and lasted for two days.

On the 21st, the pastor went over to the church. His heart sank when he saw that the roof had leaked, causing a large area of plaster about 20 feet by 8 feet to fall off the front wall of the sanctuary just behind the pulpit, beginning about head high.

The pastor cleaned up the mess on the floor, and not knowing what else to do but postpone the Christmas Eve service, headed home. On the way he noticed that a local business was having a flea market type sale for charity, so he stopped in. One of the items was a beautiful, handmade, ivory colored, crocheted tablecloth with exquisite work, fine colors and a Cross embroidered right in the center. It was just the right size to cover the hole in the front wall. He bought it and headed back to the church.

By this time it had started to snow. An older woman running from the opposite direction was trying to catch the bus. She missed it. The pastor invited her to wait in the warm church for the next bus 45 minutes later.

She sat in a pew and paid no attention to the pastor while he got a ladder, hangers, etc., to put up the tablecloth as a wall tapestry. The pastor could hardly believe how beautiful it looked and it covered up the entire problem area.

Then he noticed the woman walking down the center aisle. Her face was like a sheet. "Pastor," she asked, "where did you get that tablecloth?" The pastor explained. The woman asked him to check the lower right corner to see if the initials, EBG were crocheted into it there. They were. These were the initials of the woman, and she had made this tablecloth 35 years before, in Austria .

The woman could hardly believe it as the pastor told how he had just gotten "The Tablecloth". The woman explained that before the war she and her husband were well-to-do people in Austria.

When the Nazis came, she was forced to leave. Her husband was going to follow her the next week. He was captured, sent to prison and never saw her husband or her home again.

The pastor wanted to give her the tablecloth; but she made the pastor keep it for the church. The pastor insisted on driving her home. That was the least he could do. She lived on the other side of Staten Island and was only in Brooklyn for the day for a housecleaning job.

What a wonderful service they had on Christmas Eve. The church was almost full. The music and the spirit were great. At the end of the service, the pastor and his wife greeted everyone at the door and many said that they would return.

One older man, whom the pastor recognized from the neighborhood continued to sit in one of the pews and stare, and the pastor wondered why he wasn't leaving.

The man asked him where he got the tablecloth on the front wall because it was identical to one that his wife had made years ago when they lived in Austria before the war and how could there be two tablecloths so much alike?

He told the pastor how the Nazis came, how he forced his wife to flee for her safety and he was supposed to his wife or his home again all the 35 years between.

The pastor asked him if he would allow him to take him for a little ride. They drove to Staten Island and to the same house where the pastor had taken the woman three days earlier.

He helped the man climb the three flights of stairs to the woman's apartment, knocked on the door and he saw the greatest Christmas reunion he could ever imagine.

True Story - submitted by Pastor Rob Reid who says God does work in mysterious ways. I asked the Lord to bless you as I prayed for you today, to guide you and protect you as you go along your way. His love is always with you. His promises are true, and when we give Him all our cares we know He will see us through.

So when the road you're traveling seems difficult at best, just remember I'm here praying and God will do the rest.

Pass this on to those you want God to bless and remember to send it back to the one who asked God to bless you first.

When there is nothing left but God, that is when you find out that God is all you need Take 60 seconds and give this a shot! All you do is simply say the following small prayer for the person who sent this to you.

God, bless all my friends and family in what ever it is that You know they may be needing this day! May their lives be full of Your peace, prosperity and power as they seek to have a closer relationship with You. Amen.

Then send it on to five other people, including the one who sent it to you. Within hours five people have prayed for you and you caused a multitude of people to pray for other people. Then, sit back and watch the power of God work in your life.

P. S. Five is good, but more is better.

Having some problems at home right now. It is what it is, but mainly I am worried about the future and my kids. Thanks.

Binge, Prayers said for your kids, yourself and that God give you guidance to bring you where He wants you to be in the future. Good luck and God bless.

My confession:

Ben Stein

I have shared my message with few of my friends here on AM but I believe it is for everyone to hear. This article of Ben's just encouraged me more. Please bare with me :)

************

I am currently in Atlanta, fulfilling God’s call for my life....which is: to spread a message to whomever has an ear to hear it....I quit my science job altogether.

I would have never come by my own free will. The Lord did the “Jonah thing” with me. I got to speak out what He has put on my heart to speak out ! I would have been happy just to have stayed in green Tasmania and its beautiful white beaches (moved there from Queensland after quitting my job and found a great Christian family that accepted me as one of their own)....then again, I renounced my free will before the Lord not long before embarking on this journey, so there you go, makes everything easier. Resistance is futile. There is no insight, no wisdom and no plan that can succeed against the Lord! He always gets what He wants and I get exactly what I need and I wouldn’t want it any other way!!!!

I had quite a few dreams and visions about end times during my life but let me share the latest one with you: in it, I am climbing a narrow white stairway to Heaven. At the Top of It sits the Father. He is Big and White and His Arms are Wide Open. The stairs are HUGE but I keep climbing forward regardless. On the stairs there are lots of people, some standing, looking around, confused, lost, distracted, some in fact running down the stairs, some standing at the bottom. It is a sea of people and I am the only one going up. My job is to take with me anyone who is willing to walk the walk to get to the Father. Even if I have to carry them on my back. This is why I am here. I can't get out of "Nineveh" without saving those who are weak but willing.

What the Scriptures are telling us - the evidence of which is seen in what is happening in the world today- is that we are living in the last days- Iran has enough nuclear weapons to strike God's chosen people at any time, in the world’s politics arena - everything is pointing to a formation of a “one world government” and all major world nations are turning against Israel.

The Book of Revelation and testimony of Jesus, prophecies of Daniel and Ezekiel clearly indicate that there will be disasters unprecedented since the beginning of creation (and never to be repeated again), and that the Lord WILL punish all those who are against Israel. It is VERY obvious where USA stands on that matter...also USA=LION, with Eagle’s wings Daniel 7:4....notice also that Lion is a symbol of Babylon:

I fear that America is Babylon. Our Lord is merciful and just but He will curse all those who are against Israel. Enemies of Israel are enemies of God.

Revelation 18
4And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
5For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
6Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.
7How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
8Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
9And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,
10Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come

USA started off as a Christian nation, but has fallen very far from it, willfully rebelling against God's word. God sent a warning on 9/11/2001. But instead of repentance and returning to Him, USA deeds increased in wickedness after 9/11.)

What is happening to the Church in America is resounding in Revelation 2

1"To the angel[a] of the church in Ephesus write:

These are the words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands: 2I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked men, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false. 3You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary. 4Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love. 5Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. 6But you have this in your favor: You hate the practices of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. 7He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.

What is a lampstand?

Lampstand suggests the body of a man but in a very narrow sense. It points to the loin of that man and the loin produces life. God is telling us then that this loin, the center shaft, is giving birth to these branches. Here is the loin, the Lord Jesus “Yeshua”, out of which we, the branches, are growing to produce light to the world. Matthew 5:14, “YE ARE THE LIGHT TO THE WORLD.” and so the Lampstand represents our unity with Christ, apart from Him we cannot be the Light to the world, apart from Him we are dead, and so is the church without a lampstand-DEAD, doomed, detached from God !!!
If God removes the lampstand from a church, that church will lose its heavenly inheritance)

When God says in Revelation 2:5, that He will take away the lampstand from the church, He didn't say they would cease to be believers. (...and again, need to emphasize this, what is the body without a lampstand ? ....hint, hint :) ....I am the vine and you are the branches, apart from me you can’t do anything....answer: Dead....Further hint :) ...Even demons believe in Jesus).

Further Scriptures of warning:

Hebrews 6

1Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
2Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
3And this will we do, if God permit.
4For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. 7For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:
8But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.

Hebrews 10

26For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
28He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
30For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
31It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

I know one thing...

Even if our nations and politicians stand against God’s chosen people, it doesn’t mean that we as individuals have to take that stand. There is no place for political correctness or compromises, you are either with God and His chosen people or against Him, we can’t save our nations from God’s wrath if they go against Israel, but we don't have to go down with them ! God is faithful and Merciful :)

Psalm 91

1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. [a]
2 I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust."
3 Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 If you make the Most High your dwelling—
even the LORD, who is my refuge-
10 then no harm will befall you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
14 "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him
and show him my salvation."

Salvation is by grace indeed, but it needs to be worked out !!! Faith without deeds is dead and WITHOUT faith you CANNOT please God)

As for my house, I shall serve the Lord....and the House of King David !!!!! :D

At the moment there is a massive exodus of Jewish people, from all over the world Jews are returning to Israel. Jerry Golden’s ministry is helping them. Specifically, they are trying to get as many Jews out of Europe as possible. They are using sailing boats (because, obviously-they do not wish to attract unwanted attention) and they need money for purchasing bigger boats. I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE you to help Jerry’s Ministry. They need money and every cent counts :). Details can be found at:

I would also recommend to you to listen to his testimony (follow the link-My Testimony on this page Invalid Link Removed), it is truly inspirational. Jerry indeed had to work his salvation out! The Lord literally had to throw him in jail to make him come to Jesus!!!

I know this is a lot of material to digest so I apologize :) I truly believe that in order to survive the times that are to come we need to stay close to each other and we also need to draw as close to the Lord as possible and seek His guidance. I see far too many people concerned about perishable stuff of this world.

Hebrews 10

22Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
23Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
24And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
25Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

May the Lord be with ALL OF YOU :)
