PES Presents SELECT!

Blah my thoughts are already known in this thread. Im going to listen to peta and stop beating the dead horse. To all who enjoy this product I wish you a tastey run. I cant justify spending that much atm for 1.96 lbs. Got a baby on the way. Thats my burden not yours. I will say however enjoy the product for the taste. In terms of quality if you know where to look you can find high quality at a low price.

Just my .02

I am waiting for chef bob to get his to make some goodies!

I don't regularly spend money on protein supplements. They are the least "needed" supplements in my opinion. Occasionally I do purchase though just for the convenience and for some kind of sweet alternative or break from a monotonous high protein diet. No supplement has ever been a "staple" for me except maybe fish oil, but then again a supplement by definition can not be a staple.

Definitely understand, gotta prioritize, family comes first.

Depends on your definition of quality and price...

example?

I can get whey very cheap from a whole seller who distributes to residential adresses. 20 lbs for 140 to 170. Taste is generic like ON chocolate but taste okay. Quailty is top of the top and its just the protein.

Let's see....I'm gonna substitute PES Select Chocolate protein instead of steak. Until I can get some steak to have steak and potatoes. So for now I will substitute Select protein and have Select protein and potatoes....When I get steak though I'm going to replace the Select protein the steak.

how much of the 20lbs is protein?

PES Select Cookie and Cream Whoopie Pies

Recipe

Protein Pudding:
75g Greek Yogurt,
75g Regular 0% Plain Yogurt
20g PES Cookies and Cream Select Whey

Whoopie Pies:
50g Complete Pancake mix
10g PES Chocolate Whey
3g Splenda
Baking Powder
Touch of Vanilla
25g Milk (Almond)
1 Egg White Stiffened and folded into the recipe

Directions

First of all combine your dry in a separate bowl and sift together (mix together)
Pancake mix, Whey, Splenda, Baking Powder
Add milk to bowl

Take the 1 egg white and stiff to a peak (beat on high power with your stand up mixer or hand mixer for 2-3 minutes until firm and rise up, slowly fold these into the bowl with the rest of the batter (will help with rising and moisture in the final product)

Coat the muffin trey with cooking spray.

Take your batter and use a spoon and place on a small muffin trey. Just make sure to cover the bottom of the muffin trey because these should be very thin cookies (Chocolate Cookies) to be used to sludge up and throw into the freezer.

This will vary around 10-15 minutes just to get them done and stick with a tooth pick clean.

In a separate bowl combine Whey, Yogurt, and Cream cheese and stir to make a protein pudding

Take your Pudding and place between the cookies and form your Whoopie Pie's and Done!

I need this now! As always great recipe bob!

So, I'm just gonna go ahead and say that you guys that say it doesn't clump up must have the world's best shaker cups. No matter what amount of protein:milk I use, I still get these big massive clumps in my shake.

It isn't a big deal, but I can't imagine any of you guys actually shaking it in a shaker and not getting tons of clumps.

The only time I've noticed clumping was with the addition of Karbolyn.
And that tends to happen often when adding Karbolyn to a blend, it was bad with dymatize elite xt.

I only mix mine with water, and don't have issues.

So far all of the reviews have said nothing about clumping.

Jim, if you don't have the arm strength to shake it properly perhaps you can get a girl to do it for you. ;)

Ok....

Things are coming:

Pancakes (High carb and low carb)
Waffles
French Toast
Microwave Cheesecake
Baked SnickerDoodle Oatmeal
Brownies
SnickerDoodle bread
Cinnamon SnickerDoodle Rolls

Thoughts?

Chef Bobbo, will any of these be Ben friendly and have no yogurt or cream cheese? :D

In for cheesecake, brownies, and rolls :)

Regarding the above post on clumping, I have had no clumping in a standard tall shaker using almond milk or water. Too little liquid in yours perhaps?

You saying Jim don't know how to shake? (=

Lol I'm being made the scapegoat for insulting Jim?
Foul play gentlemen.

I use plain water in a shaker cup and NEVER have I had any clumps

I havnt had any issues with clumping to speak of but then again i was using Elite XT and that stuff was a huge clumping mess.

While Select is at the higher end of the price range for me my confidence in knowing whats in the product and the fact that my stomach has no issues with it after its consumed makes it worth it.

I have been spoon mixing my Select with practically no clumping. Stuff mixes incredible for a blend. I lost all of my blender bottle tops and have had no need to get more because the spoon method is effective with this stuff

Well, there it is.

Now I'm gonna be forced to stop telling people to buy PES products because of how poorly the reps treat customers....

As much whole milk as it can hold.

I think he is saying Jim shakes like an infant girl! :D

Definitely not my experience.

Never had any issues with OEProtein clumping when mixed with whole milk in the same shaker. Same amount too, 1.5-2 scoops protein in a shaker full of milk.

No clumping today.

All I had to do was mix the 1.5 scoops (1 CnC + .5 Snickerdoodle), shake it up, and let it sit for ~10 hours shaking it 2x in between that.

Very smooth this way. (the sitting for a while).

By ten hours, you mean ten minutes, right?

Had my first snicker doodle experience last night. I can relate it to losing your virginity. Incredible but over far too fast. This stuff is definitely a home run and I can see what everyone is raving about. Mixed incredibly well with just a spoon and absolutely no GI issues. Started with 1.5 scoops in a glass of milk but by the end I had added another scoop because I just had to have more! Haha
