Pleeeeaae don't be a coffee snob haha. Sure, nothing beats a perfectly brewed cup of coffee, but I routinely drink instant on the go as well and do enjoy it.

Nothing wrong with it, IMO

You compared quality protein to bottom barrel coffee.
Further, you're comparing flavored coffee replacements (I.e Starbucks drinks) to black home brew coffee.

$50 a month for vanilla frappes is cheap. They're like $3 each at Starbucks depending on size so that's $60-$90 depending.

If you drink Folgers, this doesn't make sense.
 
They are targeting Starbucks Gold members like myself. I usually get the iced coffee or skinny Frappuccino because they are 100 cal or lower. However I do try new Frappuccinos sometimes when they sound good.

So...you don't want it for the protein, you want it to possibly "substitute" your bad taste in instant coffee. To you...the protein means nothing as you already have quality protein....so this has come down to you to comparing the caffeine/taste of Folgers instant coffee vs the caffeine/taste of Select Café and also comparing price between both....am I right?

I guess if money is tight....sure I guess mix the Folgers w/ a scoop of Protein. I guess people are wondering is your entire argument/diatribe based on comparing Instant Coffee and it giving you the same desired effects of Select Café at a cheaper price?

That is another option I've been considering, along with caffeinated teas or even just caffeine tabs if necessary.

Truthfully, my wife is more worried about it than I am because she has issues sleeping at night.
 
I'm with you on disliking Coffee Jim, I'll let you know my thoughts on the Cafe series asap once I get it, so you can have a coffee hater's opinion. (Even the smell, usually) I also hate tea

Alphamine gets me through long days as needed, and to the comfort of your wife the reformulation is much milder from a stimulant perspective. With the added theanine I doubt she would see a sleep issue as long as she's not drinking it too late.

Safe bet is always to try it once, I'm sure we could get sample packs out to you. Just let me know.
They are often available on the main site as well if you were placing an order.

Ohhhh lol.

That happens with caffeine given in any form once you're used to it, withdrawals can suck.

And you don't have coffee to fall back on, like me when I cease Alphamine use, hate it lol. But it sure helps out for long days now
 
jimbuick, wasn't trying to start anything FYI. I can see how it may be expensive for some and not for others. When I say I don't find it expensive, I am comparing it to other fancy coffee drinks (starbucks, dunkin donuts, city brew, etc). $0.75 a serving compared to $2-5 is quite the significant difference.

Same situations with Alphamine compared to energy drinks.

And if you ever want to try Select Cafe before purchasing, shoot me a PM and I'll get you taken care of.

I believe daycrawler, who reps for us, is supporting a fellow board member, who doesn't rep for us, who I agree makes great coffee.

He doesn't ship internationally but despite that, I still managed to snag a couple of bags :D

I'm not a shill, at least in my own eyes, you're totally fine to have your own opinion. Beauty of an open forum.

As for the coffee and price-point, it's an incredibly fair price for a great product. Are there other roasters out there who sell a great product for that price point? Probably. However, most people paying $11/lb for Starbucks coffee is a rip off compared to paying $14-19/lb for coffee beans roasted the same week that they arrive at your door. Seems pretty damn fair. If you disagree that's cool. Like I said above, beauty of an open forum.

Again, sorry PES reps/fans for derailing the thread.

Back to talking about which flavor is the best for the Cafe series.

I understand that some people want a "socially virtuous" motivation to their food consumption, but that is why I didn't confine the definition of "best" in my post to be limited to flavor.

And if a social motivation were indeed the goal there are a number of coffee related companies that donate a percentage of profits to causes much more deserving of help than a fellow good-bro living in one of the wealthiest regions of the world.

I love Coffee, but I literally buy Wal-Mart's Great Value Decaf and make it in a Black and Decker $17 Coffee Maker - AND LOVE IT! :D I add 1 scoop of Vanilla Protein as Creamer/Sweetener and it is perfect.

It's hilarious because you didn't even check out the site or else you would've seen they do donate to a great cause, the International Medical Corps. They donate $0.25 per pound sold. I'm sorry if that's not good enough for you but it's better than nothing for a small business owner who is trying to make a living. You don't have to buy it. I merely was providing a link to a coffee that is the best I've had, and a company whose owner does business the right way.

always hated coffee...since i tryed the new alphamine, it has been used every day i felt i needed something before i had to study...also sunrise alphamine>>>ergonine flavor wise...(says how good alphamine is)

Placed the order back on July 30th. Had tracking number issued to me via USPS, tracking shows attempted delivery on 8th August but nobody home. have not had any tracking update, or notice left at doorstep/mailbox since or any notification from my domestic/local post service (AusPost).

Alphamine has been my morning go to as well since the release. Excited to see if this will be a better macro replacement. :)

I have tried tracking it to work out what is going on but the USPS tracking service is temporarily down. The best thing you can do is ring them. Once it leaves our warehouse we can't do much about USPS compared to something like FedEx.

Give them a ring and keep us updated. :)
 
Last I checked, my order was scheduled to arrive today before end of day.

If it does, I'll at the very least try the caramel machiatto tonight. Probably try the others tomorrow or Sunday.

There are multiple reviews from people who tried all three flavours on the other forum.

I dropped the ball, I meant to try the other two but the caramel macchiato was so good I ended up doing a double serving of that instead lol.

So far, vanilla and caramel are both delicious and that is coming from someone who doesn't really like coffee lol.

As much as I love my wife, one of her bad habits is NEVER bringing any of my packages inside. This one is understandable, as 11 tubs will make it quite large/heavy. But seriously, even tiny boxes on the porch, she'll leave for hours til I get home in the evening. The only reason I know she does this just to me is because she'll bring her own in if she was expecting something...lol.
