Matt is a great dude for sure. I've learned a lot from him and he's very nice and open to help. He is also very professional which was shown today on FB when some douche called him out on that very video.

Not sure what it is about today but I just lost all respect for Lyle McDonald as well.

And he likes branched cyclic dextrin.

Duh!!

Good shyt for sure

Haha i saw the Lyle Mcdonald thing...wow

Yeah I was never a huge fan of him or anything but he's a big name in this industry and to read what he said was like reading something a damn teenager would say. Pretty pathetic, especially considering he was talking about john meadows who has never put anyone in the industry down, if anything he try's to bring everyone together.

he's a very nice guy, passionately loves the sport, always willing to help someone out
I credit him as a source of my learning/knowledge, over the last few yrs

didn't see the hub-bub, but really don't care
he was never someone I looked at to begin with

Matt Porter eats the amount of carbs I eat...& then he eats them again, then again....epic.
my inspiration to up my own carb use...I don't have his (ahem) chemistry tho
nevertheless, he inspired me to expand my horizons and look at diet construction a bit differently

810g carbs is only a little over six cups of uncooked Jasmine rice.........I could knock that out easy! Gonna try for a few weeks :P

One, Matt porter is looking awesome, especially for 25 Weeks out.. damn.

Two, Lyle is a fu(king pussc.

you can argue with John all you want, but who has produced more IFBB pros?

yeah, the article is written for bodybuilders..go sit down Lyle before you hurt yourself.

speaking of "well-known" guys in the industry....
I just saw this piece from Charles poliquin on AM

I have long lost interest or belief to any practical relevance poliquin preaches, but at one time yrs ago I followed him a bit
this article is pretty damn on-point tho...kudos to him

Just crushed Jasmine rice and tuna. About to crush a nap. Then I'm going to crush my pre workout. Then I'm going to crush my workout. Then I'm going to crush my post workout meal. Then I'll probably crush something else bit I'm not sure what.

Going to go watch that Matt Porter vid in a bit. Been doing a lot of reading recently on supercharging the metabolism with the intent of bringing my calories up to a higher level.

Mattys4 was talking about that on FB yesterday. I need to figure this out, too.

iowa

you gotta give it some time
takes a definite change of mental approach, but once cumulative effects get going there's a lot to like
you got to challenge yourself each & every workout, to go above & beyond the last time thru

I understand all that.

I enjoy spending time in the gym. I don't get much time there with this program. Boring.

I felt the same way when I tried it.

Glad I'm not the only one.

I absolutely understand that this training style works. Tons of real world results to attest to that. The way I see it though is, if I don't enjoy the program I won't make the most of it and that's not going to work long term.

I've been going all out (no different then normal) and can feel a different type of "fatigue" but mentally it's not enjoyable. Not from work load, or pain, or anything like that.

No sense doing something you find is boring.. have to agree with you there. I got like this near the end of P.H.A.T.
