I've watched a lot of great bands play and Tool puts on the best show that I've seen by a mile (seen them 11 times). Love the Deftones live too, especially at a small venue.
 
I took my wife to her first REAL concert on her birthday... And yes, it was Tool! Needless to say, it blew her mind. Of course I was in awe as well lol! I will say that Nine Inch Nails knows how to put on a show as well!
 
Sherm has kept his mouth pretty closed most of the year. Crabtree ran his and basically got shut down. Sherm deserves to he able to display that attitude for once. All year he's been THAT guy that makes THAT play on THAT day. I disagree about Crabtree being mediocre, but Sherm outplayed him. Go Hawks.
As far as Tool, best show I've ever been to, and I've been to A LOT of shows. Deftones at the house of blues in Myrtle Beach was a close second.
 
hate to burst this bubble of cool concert talk and NFL debates, but...
my leg day was a rousing success, still gasping for air (and been done for awhile now lol)
highlights of the day were DB jump squats, ss w/ DB stationary lunges ... oh, my

got a little different tunage going on for today too, something along these lines

lots of athletes grow up in poverty, bad streets/towns, and get involved in nefarious activities in youth..
it has happened all thruout every sport, in about every decade since the advent of sporting activities
but we grow up
look, this is all opinions here, but -- when you are making the $ these guys are making, at my (the fans) expense, I believe there is certain etiquette you should follow....running around like thugs you were in childhood is not making me feel great about spending my $ on you ----> and you got a masters from Stanford? you should know this already

on a coaching level: I want to feel good about my players, have confidence in them, know they will follow the plays, and do whatever it takes to make the team better ... if I'm a coach and one of my players takes on this "lookit me!! weee!" attitude in n'tl spotlight interview, I'm not feeling it insofar as having that kind of confidence in them

I didn't really care for ali either, with his antics and arrogance -- but, at least boxing is an individual sport

I think all this reality tv bullsh1t with the duplicitous nature and scope (ie having to lie and cheat and stab ppl in the back to win a game or whatever), has changed the way ppl view this kind of thing, like it's okay or something

The way these professional athletes act like animals on camera is disgusting and completely unacceptable.

You're a grown ass man, act like one. Take responsibility for not only your actions but also your words.

I'm not giving him a pass no no. I'm just saying he grew up in poverty and he has a masters degree from a highly touted school, so he is a rare individual.

From all of his interviews I've seen he is over the top dramatic and just plays this role to the extreme. I think it was childish, but given the circumstances of the game and how it ended I'm not at arms about it like a lot of people. Emotions run high and who am I to judge what he says or does.

azarenka looked really nice in those victoria secret looking underwear...not the best looking overall, but best butt, imo.
 
At the ER with my daughter again. 103.1 temp, elevated heart rate and rapid breathing. Be glad when this bug goes away!

Looks like she got over the pneumonia she had in her right lung but now get left lung has pneumonia.

This **** sets in fast Wtf!? They are going to keep her at the hospital for a couple days.

speaking of tennis: oh MAN I just watched taped delay of the djokovic/wawrinka match
stan played his ass off, that backhand he had thruout was just ferocious!
(you can definitely see the Federer influence in his game, as they are practice partners)
big congrats to stan for a huge W, after 14 straight losses to the djoker
and - props as well to djoker, for his graciousness in defeat

Those days happen. Good thing it's a rarity, or we'd resemble the other 90% of the population.

I like that version, but the best cover I've heard yet has to be the stain'd cover. Although I'm not a fan of stain'd, they do a good job of covering nutshell and sober (tool).

Still at the hospital with the kiddo. She is doing much better and hopefully they let her go home tomorrow.

Been eating cafeteria food today so not the best food choices but I've made it work best I could. Been in the bathroom and I'm feeling bloated since it isn't really good quality food but so is life.

i like seeing the top seeds get knocked off for a change, i think stan came into his own once roger proved to be human. but ivanovic knocking off serena was a shocker, almost up there with tyson/douglas.
a lot of tight new bodys in the womens game, but my wife thinks i am watching porno when some of them play, lol....


my prayers for your daughter and your entire family, monte....there is nothing more stressful in life than an ailing child!!!
