Hey mattrag when you do your bent over rows do you do each rep dead off the floor? I know some 5x5 programs want you to do that..or do the whole sets at once no dropping of the weight?

Very good question. Mine when they are done are from off the floor. of course i am no he-man like he is. lol

I do both, but the ones off the floor are pendalay rows done lifted to my chest. Those I max out at 205x3 or so? I'll be resting the max this week.

I do mine with an underhand gripback at a 45 degree angle and no floortouch keep constant tension on the mid back

Dude, your bent over rows are simply ridiculous. I can't even fathom doin that weight. I got excited when I got 185 for a few reps and didn't kill myself lol.

Haha. My back is beast. I can do one armed pull ups too. My deads suck though. I can't get good hip movement and I have a hard time getting enough momentum off the floor :(

Damn, one armed pull ups at your weight is crazy!!! I had a friend who could do them but he weighed about 150-155 and had 17in arms, haha! Deads are still a work in progress for me, I didn't realize the importance of them until earlier this year. The only reason my deads are strong is because my squats were strong before that. On a side note, I'm having Hawaii withdrawals reeeeally bad lately.

Hehe these guys aren't me lol. I videoed my sumo deads. Up soon. Also the last workout was also completely CL fueled. White flood purple wraith and green buldge. Omg it was great.

Dude I cringed the whole time watching those barefoot sumo deads, AHHH your poor toes! Lol.

Do you do your one armed pullups free-hang or are you gripping your arm with your other hand?

I can do both, but that time it was gripping my hand because I was trying to show the dude that a one arm pull up is not very hard if you know a small trick lol.
Though I have to be doing it with a closed grip if i'm doing a true one arm pull up.


The weights are actually at least 8 inches from my feet. So unless I pull it, move my feet outwards and pull the bar left/right, my feet are safe. ;) I feel like a beast though lifting barefoot haha! I know the other guys at the gym must hate me for it. The gym staff all know me pretty well adn let me do almost anything... like lift bare footed, video tape, take pics, and make as much noise as I want.... hahahah!

Maybe the next time I vid I'll make one of my doing a one arm free hanging pull up ;)

Done. Good workout today. Definitely loved the prolonged energy of White flood this time. Out of intra workout.... omg it sucks not having sweet stuff to sip on during the workout... Good workout today. Good energy. Switched up the diet a little. Added in some preworkouts carbs (4 hrs from workout though haha). Definitely looking leaner, as my friend said today that I am looking swole haha.

Anyway, this week is gonna be weird because I am going to go on a road trip during the weekend and my damn protein is yet to come in.... ; ;

Haha, thanks! Tomorrow I gotta lift again. I hope my legs heal up. Tomorrow is squats, and then high rep bent over rows. Im probably going to do some 1.5 reps (hold the contraction at the top then go down half way and come back up)
