I wish you, LG Sciences, a lot of strength, wisdom, and perseverance to get through all of this unscathed :thumbsup:
I don't know where you came from, bro, but very good post. Well-stated. Reps for you.Agreed.
I'm tempted to go on the FDA's "MedWatch" site and use their form for reporting serious drug/supplement effects...and tell them how 6-OXO and ATD helped me look better, feel better, and left me with nothing but improved health and made me more hopeful about a future of living with a frustrating set of genes. I really hope these substances don't get stolen from us by this omni-incompetent bunch. These are the same people who wanted us to eat trans-fat instead of milkfat...and who still say that high doses of Vitamin C are pointless.
It makes me so angry to think that this stuff that helps me so much could end up as a "back alley" purchase due to extreme bureaucratic ignorance. It's my body. Why should I be content with the body chemistry I was dealt? I am an adult, and don't require anyone's approval for trying to improve my health and sense of well-being. I choose to live by the best knowledge available to me, not according to the thrice-digested, backward-looking, money-slanted science of the FDA. I will only live once, and they've been dead wrong a lot more times than that.
ATD was in the form..
This is all making me upset. Formadrol is a really good product. It is only a matter of time until they seize our weight lifting gloves. lol.
x2.. Do us all a favor, save us from ourselves!!!I think they should ban weights at the gym. How many people have been hurt lifting those silly things?

That post on bb.com was horrific. Pat Arnold is such a foul horrible human being. It's sad to see someone with so much potential be so bitter and petty.

Anyway, we are working feverishly to get things resolved.
Oh, and for all you conspiracy theorists. M1T and the rest had ZERO to do with this. Our M1P fiasco was spawned out of Balco. Balco is why the Anabolic Control Act of 2004 was passed and Balco is why Amy Shippley wrote that completely false article about us trying to cheat the Olympics. Look at my email and phone records...I don't even know ONE person in the Olympics. We were young and inexperienced at the time though... This whole thing is because we got an investigator that wanted to make a name for herself...nothing more. She didn't even ask us for compliance information which we could have provided. If you want to help, let me know! We need to keep our supplements free. However, if we want to use a new ingredient that is in question, I am forced to now go to the FDA for clearance to avoid these issues going forward.
Anyone have a recap? The thread is gone and PA was banned over there.

Well, they took it down just as I was getting to the end, but it was something like this ...
-LG at first said it would all be cleared up soon, then said it would be nice if other companies could help out or at least present a united front;
-a rep for ******* suggested that PA had something to do with the seizure, without calling him by name;
-PA denied it and argued with the rep for about 30 posts, and said that the guy's shirt was gay;
-PA thought that LG Sciences was infringing his trademark on 6-OXO for a few minutes and threatened to sic a lawyer, but it was cleared up;
-PA said he wouldn't help LG: 1) because they didn't buy direct from him and 2) because with their advertising they "brought it on themselves";
-people posted their Sunday evening recipes for salmon and some baby pictures (not making this up);
-Bruce K****** was raked over the coals a few times, although he apparently had nothing to do with this;
-someone suggested that PA was angling for Bruce's job...although it was pointed out that PA has his own company to run;
-one guy jumped into the discussion, got hot and threatened to beat up a couple of other guys;
-the picture of a T-Rex flying an F-15 was posted a couple of times.
In other words, it was an informative, purposeful discussion among mature adults.
Or something.

I'm guessing this is the pic. I haven't seen the BB post though:

has anyone talked to their local congressman about these 'injustices' or taken any actual steps towards dietary supplement freedoms ?
Or are most ppl just venting without a cause ?

I think what his statements were leaning towards is to the fact he would not test it unless the company that made it gave him permission because if he did and found something "uneasy" about the product, he would post it and that was a potential for him to get sued....or something of those sorts.Helluva re-cap, reps to ya !
Speaking of PA .. he does seem like the gov's little ***** now .. here (Invalid Link Removed) the dude goes on and on about how he'll never 'stoop to the level' (implied) of testing the Methoxy TST because it's a BS chemical, and it's nothing but a placebo effect, and althoughh people jumped in and said their P.O.V. he kept bashing the product with no intenion of finding out what chemical it actually contains .. ..... fast forward to page 9, and he's saying, 'man, someone send me a bottle and I'll get it tested!' .. Probably just hooking up the gov with another unfulfilled search and seizure ..
That quote is true, but the FDA are just like everybody else...I tried putting myself in the spot of the FDA...wow! Now i understand the pressure of working for the FDA...Not saying that what they do is right or wrong, but you have to look at the fact that there are a gazillion different things they have to regulate...some people can barely manage a job and kids + wife...lolYou're right. We should figure out some way to let people hear our side. It's just that the ignorance runs so deep: the assumption that creatine is a dangerous androgenic steroid, for example.
Life Extension Foundation, whatever you think of them, does a pretty good job of raising a stink about health freedom. They have a "write your Congressman" link on the site.
By the way, I saw this quote on LEF from the April 2008 Reader's Digest:
“Recent headlines have uncovered one shocking lapse after another at the Food and Drug Administration...Many of the nation’s leading doctors, scientists and lawmakers now agree that the FDA is in crisis...Lurching from one disaster to another, the 102-year-old agency learns of dangers too late and then moves too slow to remedy them...Instead of depending on the FDA, Americans are doubting it and for good reason.”
This is READER'S DIGEST, not Mother Jones or the John Birch Society. When Reader's Digest (home of Humor in Uniform and Franklin Mint ads) notices, then you know it's a real scandal.
