KLEEN & QUEEN Get Lean with PX Black and a FINAFLEX PH Stack!

Looking good man. Waist if def. getting smaller!
Thanks Big D! I am really pleased considering the last 2 weeks have been spotty on workouts.

best to your father brother, hope the recovery is commencing well
oh - and nice pics too, I see the progress

Thanks Snags! He is in good spirits and isn't letting it bother him too much. Not sure when they plan to remove the blockage they found in his carotid artery though. Not too worried about that it is such a simple procedure now to fix things like that.

Progress ain't too bad, mostly my legs have really leaned up. You can't see it in the pictures above but I got my daughter to snap a few others I will post.

Sorry about pop, buddy. My old man got hit by bell (some speculate that it is stress induced) about 10 years ago and his face was back to normal (still ugly) about 1-2 months later. Hopefully your old man recovers just the same. Doing great on the progress. Keep it up.

Thanks Brotha! Yeah not too worried about that even if he has a little bit left over it won't be too bad. So long as his eye starts to shut on it's own everything else is just appearance. The eye drying out is a mofo though... I still tend to sleep with my arm up over my right eye. I got used to putting it there to hold my eye shut when I slept. Crazy how you just adjust to something and it sticks with you.

So here are a few pics, my 9 year old daughter took them and didn't really wait for me to get into peak contractions before snapping the shot. However they give a decent representation of what I am looking like. I had to laugh at my upper body in the leg shot. Obviously she caught it as I was setting my feet but the legs still look good so I put it in here anyway.

I have thought about it but not sure. If MattyS4 is still planning to compete in it then yes more than likely. Just have to try to plan for it. Are you going?

Okay so I got in a minor fullbody workout, just enough to burn some calories. Had a school function with the daughter last night so there wasn't much time. I am going to go out for lunch and walk while adding in calisthenics to burn some more calories. I will be traveling this weekend so I will do my Saturday lift on Friday and then maybe just do some outdoor cardio or calisthenics on Saturday.

On another note, a follow up on Pops, I mentioned they found a blockage in his right side carotid artery, and figured they could fix it. However it is a 100% blockage and they can not operate to fix it. His other side is still flowing but not at full volume so basically he is now a very high risk. My plan is to try to engage him in some outdoor activity, as the Doc said that proper nutrition and increased activity is what he needs. So I am going to try to get with him at least once a week and get him out walking, bowling, golfing or well anything that keeps him moving and using his body enough to be considered light exercise. Anyway wish me luck on trying to get his health back in order it is going to take a decent amount of both work and luck to keep him around as long as possible.

Yeah I'm planning on going to Europa. I've been wanting to go the last two years but haven't been able too. This year I'm going for sure, especially since the Finaflex team will be there :) good luck with your father. Hopefully the activity level will help him

Sorry about the old man and good luck. Hopefully you can find something the both of you enjoy doing and he pulls through this.

Good luck with your pops bud

Thanks for all the well wishes. I am just happy that he is okay for now, and that him needing someone to get him out and about will give us more time together in case something bad does happen.

Holy Fug man walked a mile for warm up then 20 reps 30 inch box jumps 100 body weight squats, 100 regular push ups, 20 spiderman push ups, 60 one arm body weight rows, 60 2 arm body weight rows, 80 step ups per side onto a 2 foot platform, all done in a circuit of 20 reps each, no real rest then brisk walk back as my cool down. From start to finish was just over an hour. Talk about some serious work!

Just got all caught up kleen, first off I hope your father gets his issues sorted out, I'm sure with you by his side dragging him out for exercise and changing his diet will help with the blockage. Second nice progress, your waistline has come down considerably. Third damn your rear lat spread has some width to it!!!!

Yeah definitely a MUCH better diagnosis. I had bells palsy in my early 20's it just paralyzes one side of your face. It basically looks like he had a stroke since that side of his face is just sagging and doesn't move when he talks. His left eye stays open when he blinks. So they will give him some droppers. They can't give him cortico-steroids because of his diabetes so it will take just a little longer for the swelling from the infection to lessen and stop pinching that nerve off. All in all just a major inconvenience which is far better than a stroke for certain!

great news...very happy to hear this!!!!

Thanks, thanks, and thanks again. Things are really coming along considering. Good news is that as of next week my schedule is actually back to normal so I can really get to the gym more. That is when the really fast progress on fat loss should kick in.

great news...very happy to hear this!!!!

Yes definitely, with his carotid artery we can work around that improve his condition, but he will still have a good quality of life. Had it been a stroke who knows how it could have affected the quality of life which is more important.

Kleen your legs are super ripped!!!! I swear you need to be competing! Just imagine once we get jeff Ripped!

Kleen your legs are super ripped!!!! I swear you need to be competing! Just imagine once we get jeff Ripped!

Thanks they will get leaner and leaner for a while it takes a while for my core and upper body to catch up to how lean my legs are. By the time my abs come in decently I will have some veins in my quads, I think I can already see some peaking through all this hair. It is about time to man-scape then the legs will look even more ripped.

Yeah I can't wait to see Jeff reach his goals. His muscle density is coming along nicely.

Hi Kleen. Just caught up and I'm amazed how things are progressing. You are looking great. All my best to your Dad and family for health and happiness brother.

Thanks a million Kenpo, I feel like progress will be much faster here in the coming weeks too. This progress ain't stopping until my show Oct 12th. As a matter of fact Boss Body is going to sponsor me with coaching up to my show as well. I have to thank @Invalid Link Removed for that.
doin good, chris!!!

Thanks Tom, the past 2 weeks may have slowed a tiny bit from what they would have been but I still made pretty good progress. Cals have been pretty low for 2 weeks now so I think we are going to bump them up a tiny bit next week with my increased activity level.

Last nights workout was a quick full body workout with a small barbell complex, no rest between exercises and minimal between rotations.

Incline BB Bench 135x20 > Bent Over Rows 135x20 > Dead-Squats 135x20 rest 30-60 seconds repeat for 5 rotations.

I was sucking wind and sweating like crazy by the time this was over.

Dead-Squats are done with something that looks like a trap bar but without raised handles. It is more quad intensive than regular dead lifts and gets you almost to parallel for the legs while still hitting the back really well. I am going to end up building a raise platform to stand on while doing them so I am actually parallel or just below. I do them sometimes with a bunch of 25's so I am nice and deep and it is fricken awesome so I want to go heavier like that so I will need a small platform.

The bar looks like this but my handles are straight instead of having the slight angle.

LOVE dead squats. Haven't seen a bar since highschool. I used to do those with clean variations and ohps every Wednesday from freshman to senior year. Probably part of why I suck out of the hole on a true below parallel back squat.

Yeah and when done with the 25's you get WAY deep. I only have 10 25's though so right now I can't get that heavy with them, which is why I want to build the platform. I can tell you for certain that these hit my legs better overall than squats do. Squats are predominantly hip dominant but this allow for center alignment so both the front and back of the legs are equally activated. I basically told my wife this was exactly what I wanted for Christmas one year after using one. Plus like you said I used one back in high school too but have forgotten how much I liked it.

Maybe some day my legs will be strong enough to say 250lbs in plates and a minimum of 45lb bar isn't heavy enough for 20 reps!

Oh no, I wish. I have maxed my 20 reps out with this and it was 355x20 with the 45's on using my versa gripps and 325x20 without the versa grips. I was referring to when I get into lifting heavier for lower reps when concentrating in more growth related rep ranges like 6-12.

Okay guys, new week new weigh in and new noodz!

I did pretty good on my macros and nutrients this past week and got in more workouts. I am still making progress pretty quickly. I dropped another 1.5 lbs this week putting me at 207 on the dot, down from 208.5 last Tuesday. My pics look pretty good but I tried a different spot and the lighting was not as good. You can still see improvements but I wish I had taken them in the normal spot. Although you can really see where things are coming out in my rear double biceps and my most muscular. Definitely more definition and separation in them.

This week marks the beginning of my actual prep planning with Boss Body. The plan is to ramp up my metabolism and do some cyclical carb / calories cycling. He wants to get my metabolism ramped up for higher cals right now so we increased calories and carb content this week. I will probably start a new log soon too follow along with the prep specifically. Expect to see a lot more carbs this next couple weeks stepping them down each week over the next month. Today is going to be a 250 grams of carbs day.

Uh oh......I think I'm starting to see abs peeking through. Awesome awesome awesome! Damn Kleen we need to set a day to get some training in! I need to get some pointers from the more....."seasoned" guys :p

Look at that, already seeing some striations in the pecs. Your prep is going to be a fun ride, I can already tell. I'll be following.

Yeah we need to get together. Would be fun. Probably need a stretcher after your volume though.

Thanks, yeah I am pretty happy with my progress right now. Abs are peeking through but my waist got a bit smaller so the skin is still catching up. I actually expect to be heavier at the next weigh in but I should still be losing fat just more glycogen. I am guessing next week I might be closer to 210 again but with more definition than when I was 210 a few weeks ago.

Getting ready to go do some cardio during lunch hour, come back and eat then I need to lift when I get home tonight. THis is gonna be a fun ride, but it is going to be challenging.

The payoff will be worth the challenge. Lots of potential lies just beneath your off-season indiscretions. You're gonna be a monster, and from what I've seen from mattys4 you'll be VERY competitive.

If you go back to the beginning of the log pics & these, holy cow!

Kleen has the diet thing down to a science. It's unreal how fast he can go from having a good layer of bulking flab to omfg abs. Because of his wealth of dietary knowledge, He's one of the guys I've followed and learned a ton from since I started on AM.

Well I had to thank you all since the multi-quote ain't multi-quoting... Much appreciated, yeah there is a possibility he doesn't get all of the control back with his face. I had mine almost 20 years ago and I still have some very slight weakness in the muscles on that side of my face. Worse is the muscle under my ear cramps really bad from it sometimes when I am holding my mouth open to brush my tongue. That is an excrusicating feeling, my wife trips because when that happens it hurts so bad I start punching my neck trying to get the knot to release. However if that is all he has to deal with is some numbness we can work around that.

So here are my update pics, I am 208.5 right now after the carb up. Last week I was 213.5 not this was a smaller carb up so it makes sense that I am a bit lighter but I think some of the drop is just proof I lost more. You can tell in my pictures that my waist is smaller and my chest looks bigger / tighter. All very subtle changes, I think this next couple weeks while I am able to get to the gym regularly we should see a lot more changes. For now with the past 2 weeks I am pretty pleased with the current progress level.

Definitely progress made brosef. Back looks incredible as usual! Kill this bro!

Yeah things are really picking up right now.
It just got serious!!! Ready to follow and learn.

yeah buddy!!!!
Oh yeah time to kill it.

Thanks, I haven't compared the two but I should.

Thanks Man, right now I am following MattyS4's lead with BOSS BODY, it is really nice to have someone else planning things from the outside in. I know a lot but I am learning some new things right now too which is awesome.

yup yup, bigtime shape taking place
it was only a matter of time

Thanks Snags! Means a lot coming from you and our history.

Thanks Jeff! I am doing my best to rock this while he tosses some very challenging work on me.
So sort of a pre-prep....
Yes Sir, you could say that. One thing is a mentality change into that mode as you know and I am officially there. The other is everything he is doing now is geared toward my final product on stage. He has a plan for each section approaching the show right now we are trying to recomp while speeding up metabolism using more activity to burn off the calories instead of just eat less. We will probably do this show then diet out of it into a lean bulk before getting me ready for an early show next year too.

Well guys sorry I have been incommunicado, I just had an extra busy few days the last few days. I am not working late now but the days are crazy busy and it seems like some year end stuff is going on every darn night. What I have been able to do though is kill it on the workout front.

Thursday -
It was a leg day I was at home with my sick daughter poor thing so I worked out in the garage. It was a hamstring and glute intensive day so I did the Dead Lift version of the leg workout. It was about 85 degrees in the garage and let me tell you that really took it out of me and got me a crazy sweat but I soldiered through all 17 sets of Dead Lifts.

Deadlifts 90 seconds rest = 135x8, 225x8, 275x8, 325x5, 375x5, 395x3, 395x3, 60 seconds rest = 275x5 x 5 sets, SUMO DEAD LIFT 225x10 x5 sets and ran out of time for the rest of the stuff but honestly I was toast by this time. Covered in sweat and loving every minute of it.

Friday Chest and Back

Super set 1 90 seconds rest after each super set

Incline Chest Press - 150x10, 150x10, 170x10, 170x10, 190x10, 190x10, 190x10, 190x10, 190x10, 190x10 - Barely got last set of 10.
Wide Grip Lat Pull Down 150x10, 150x10, 170x10, 170x10, 190x10, 190x10, 190x10, 190x10, 190x10, 190x10 - Barely got last set of 10.

Super Set 2 60 seconds rest after each super set

DB Flat Bench 75x12, 75x12, 75x12, 75x10
Overhand Grip Hammer Strength Rows - 45x12, 70x12, 70x12, 70x10

FST-7 Incline Cable Flies - 70x12, 50x12, 50x9, 40x8, 30x12, 30x10

FST-7 Close Neutral Grip HS Row 45x12, 12, 12, 12, 12, 12, 12 Barely

I was looking massive after this workout. Just huge!

On to today's workout,
I want to start off saying my lower back and hammies are toast from Thursday. I was afraid going in I might not even be be to get much done. I did better than I thought I would for as sore as I am. This volume is so much higher and I didn't even finish everything today. My back was just done on the squats by the time I hit my last set of 3. So I moved on to the leg press instead of doing another 5 sets of 10 knowing my back was toast. Anyway here is what I did with a slight modification.

Squats 135x8, 225x8, 315x5, 365x5, 3x385, 2x395 - Back was done here so I wasn't risking an injury continuing to squat.

Leg Press Feet Low and Close to accentuate quads - 540x10 for 10 sets w/ 60 seconds rest periods Was very hard at the end but will go up next time.

Alternate exercises no rest for 7 rotations.
Leg Extension 150x12, 130x12, 130x12, 130x12, 130x12, 130x11, 130x9
Seated Leg Curls 70x12, 70x12, 70x12, 70x12, 70x12, 70x11, 70x8,

Donkey Calve Raise Machine = 300x15 x 3 sets

Okay now that I got those workouts in I have to say I am loving what is going on right now. Coach said we were going to bump up cals a bit and I am filling out nicely but am still leaning out. I really think he is dialing in on me an my nutritional needs which is great. I am curious what I will weigh Monday morning, I can tell you I am leaner and vascularity improves daily. My lower legs look like a road map so do my forearms, front and back. I have a few veins showing in my quads. The fat under my chest is getting less and less. Things are just going really well.

These workouts are just brutal Kleen; excellent work with all of them. The weights are great not even considering the dramatic lack of rest. Killing it.

Thanks, I am giving it hell!

Dude wtf?! That's sadist **** right there. Gvt and fst7 in the same workout? I love it.

Oh yeah, Coach Matt is going to make sure I have no excuses come the end of this prep. I do secretly love the intensity and mental aggression it requires to do these workouts. So here are this weeks update pics.

Carbs have me up from 207 lbs to 214.3 which is nice since it wasn't a full on explosion. Other than my stomach being full from food I think my pics came out pretty good. Sorry for the lack of a Most Muscular in the new ones. My daughter takes my pictures and she snapped it and moved on without telling me it was a big blur. LOL

Your traps are disgusting.

Are you on a diet or something? :P great progress big guy

Lookin good brother! I'm excited to see where you'll be in the next few months if u stay at the pace your on.

That is the plan for sure! I am going to be working my arse off to get things fine tuned over the next couple months, hopefully I can get a little wider in the shoulders and a little larger in the arms. Lots of work coming but I am down!

Yesterdays lifts was Triceps & Biceps and Shoulders

Superset A 90 seconds rest
Close Grip Bench Press - 155x10, 165x10, 170x10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 9
DB Curls - 27.5x10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 9

Superset B NO REST
Triceps Cable Press Down 130x15, 150x15, 140x12
Cable Curls - 90x15, 90x15, 90x13

DB Lateral Raises 22.5x10 every minute for 10 minutes Barely able to complete, will go to 25 next time.

Seated Shoulder Press Machine 10 reps per minute - 90x10, 90x10, 90x19, 90x10, 90x10, 90x8, 70x10, 70x10, 70x8, 50x9, 50x7

For me my focus is now on width and chest, I bit the bullet designed an FST-7 run focussing on chest, where I will do some extra pullups here and there. I went with a 5 day split and omitted direct trap work.

Nice! So I have to ask with this big win are you planning to compete again now or retire from competition?

I am only going to get in cardio today and not a lift. My cousin called me to tell me he is in town from Dallas. I am going to practice my family first mentality and skip out on my lift tonight so we can do dinner, it is probably best since my back is not fully recovered. Then I can really smash it tomorrow. Cardio today will probably be a walk and calisthenic circuit to get blood pumping into everything and burn some good calories via increasing the metabolism from the calisthenics.

A lot of people asking this question and Musclemania is coming to Montreal October 19th. I have to work on the wife but I am going to live like I am going and then prep would start late July as I will be maintaining 190-195 so lots of time in 12 weeks. I would start a 12 week cycle, I ordered some epi-v and have tons of 1-alpha and enough 550 as well. I also have Ostanish 1 bottle I think but that goes a long way. I am doing a herbal pct right now but don't even feel I need to. I will continue of course. I feel fuggin great.

If I improve my chest and stay tight I should have a shot at the open as this is not a real big show. Another thing I am employing is to own my persona, I am Doug the Animal Walker that's me ...I gotta be that guy. My posing will be better as you guys taught me a lot so... I am going to try and work it but there are loose threads.

Nice we would be in prep together if that is the case since my show is 1 week before yours. I am thinking of doing the Open, & maybe Masters, or Open and Novice, just depends on what my coach thinks and how polished my posing is more than anything. If I have my posing polished that will be half the battle.

Just what you said about the vids, I was doing vids about 4 times a week.
