Oh love the Bring it on reference. I must hang my head in shame that I have not only watched all of them but somehow enjoyed myself while doing so. Sometimes something is so cheesy and cliche' that all it needs is hot women pretending to be teenagers to rope you in and then it is over and you wonder how you ended up sitting there for an hour and a half. LOL Oh well that is what the wife watches so downtime is stuff like that or whatever reality show is on Mtv at the time. Now I even like watching that crap for some reason. It is like fear factor meets the surreal life or something now. Crazy azz challenges and alchohal induced dumbassitis. LOL

Remember all things in pursuit of happiness with the wife / family are MANLY regardless of what type of panty waste activity it may be. I am sure you can look back across your marriage and think of some very "MANLY" moments that scarred you in different ways than physical. I can't think of anything more manly or scarring than me playing dress up with my daughter, make up, clip on earings and all. I may not have looked to manly but I sure was Da Man in her eyes that day. LOL

Well I don't have too much to update today. I got a couple vids of squats but camera was too close. You can definitely tell I go extremely deep on my squats though. The upper part of my thigh goes several inches below parralel. I tweaked my back a little on my 4rth workset. I will go back to about 255 for reps and do leg press for my main move while building up some extra strength in my erectors. I was really surprised how deconditioned my back got not being able to do deads or squatting for the past while. I have to admit 275 felt like nothing was there, I even wanted to go up after my first set of 295 but decided it was too early for such madness. Good thing because at rep 3 of that set my back tweaked and I knew I was done with back squats for the day.

Squats 135x15, 225x12, 275x9 I think, watch the video. LOL 295x9 I think I got 9 again but not sure. 295x3


Zerchers - Okay well even though my back was very unhappy I decided to try my luck at Zerchers. I swear I thought I had video'd them but alas no video. I have to say I like them but wasn't sure of proper positioning when coming down. If arms were wide my elbows came down and basically touched my thighs at parralel. If I put them in closer the bar was harder to control but I was able to get lower into the squat. Well here is how it looked.

Zerchers 135x15, 185x10, 225x6 lost grip of the bar trying to find my arm position.

My back was feeling pretty rough and good mornings were out of thew question so I decided to call it a day and do some ab work then head in for some nutrition and a shower.

I knew I went rock bottom too but I was a little surprised how low I really get. Now if I can just stay that low and build up to 315 for 15 I will be in possession of some killer wheels. Right now I am going to do multiple sets of Leg Press as my main lifts on both leg days. One being wide and the other being in closer to get different parts of my leg. THen I will follow that up with a squatting movement and let my back get the tweaks out for a bit. When this happened in Florida I thought I did it Rowing or something but it was definitely the squats that got me. This time it hurt bad enough I was worried about getting the bar back into the rack without tweaking it worse.

Funny thing is I think my legs will really grow more from concentrating on leg press they seem to respond better to leg pressing than squatting for some reason.

For now. Once I get my DBA and re-certify I will be picking up used equipment here and there so I can train people in my garage. At least until I can get a spot to make my own... I got a 5 year plan in the making right now.

Once I have my dba I can begin writing some of it off. :)

I won't need much, a leg press, I have 2 good adjustable benches, and the power rack. I can get a set of PowerBlocks up to 150 lbs and maybe build some pulley systems in there for cable work and what not.
 
5 year plan huh... wish I could do the same. I haven't lived in the same spot the last 16 years for more than 3 years... stupid army... this was my 14th PCS move since being in!

Did I get bigger??? Yessss I DID!!!!

Okay first let's get into the interesting part. I knew I had swollen up from this weekends festivities. Heck some of the pics from the concert I was already looking smooth and soft. LOL However I have been drinking a lot of water and flushing for days plus lots of cardio. I am no longer wet looking and I weighed in at a fasted 199.5lbs this morning. Last week away from any carb ups I was 195-ish if that gives you any idea what I am talking about. Now I am definitely getting leaner, not by leaps and bounds but getting leaner none the less so I have put on a little muscle this month unexpectedly. Quite interesting considering all the change ups and curve balls thrown at my diet and training this month. I am very happy with this, and at a time I am getting frustrated with my current situation, so this is a good thing for me.

Okay now on to my workout today was the all straight arm upper body day. I did

Cable Crossovers - 110x10, 121x10, and 121x 7> 77x10 FUG YEAH!!!!! Total Dominance!!!! Can you say one pumped mutha fugga!!!!!

Straight Arm Lat Pull Downs - 60x10, 90x10, 90x6 WOW, I failed hard on that second set of 90. I was really concentrating on contraction here. My abs got a heck of a workout too. I was looking SWOLE after these two exercises.

Lateral Raise Machine - 75x15, 110x10, 110x7>70x10 HEY! Why are my arms floating up when i get off here? LOL Yeah they were that pumped.

DB Front Raise w/ Hammer Grip - 35x9, 35x7, 30x5 I was really working to get these up, some almost explosively then doing a 2-3 second negative on the way down. My shouders were looking good veins running across them showing so well I could have counted my heart rate on them.

Rear Delt Machine - 80x15, 100x12, 110x8>80x6 Nice way to finish it off, by this time my shoulder caps were looking phenominal. I think I saw my goal for my shoulders today. If I can get them that full and round when not pumped I will be more than happy with them.

So to reiterate i had a great workout. I had positive composition changes, and now totell you I had the coolest dream while somewhere in between consiousness and not. I was kind of in control of the dream which was way cool. WhenI was ready to flip channels i got a new dream… Very cool! I was there with my eyes close melting off into what felt like a deep sleep all of the sudden I nottice large bees flying by me, buzzing by me in 3D. Most of my dreams are 2d like watching a movie or something. This was different. I would feel them approaching from behind, hearthem buzz by, and finally I realized that I was not dreaming about bees.I was dreaming I was a bee. That I was flying with the other bees towards somewhere. Then I realized that I was realizing things in the middle of a dream. WHAT? How does that work? I "decided" I did not want to fly to where they were going so I just flew away from them. After some interesting visually stimulating flying I thought of a horse and suddenly I was a Stallion running with the wild herd in a valley. Seeing the other horses heads bob up and down beside me able to see into the eyes, the gold flecks and sunlight reflecting in them. Man this dream was awesome! I remember changing it willingly a few more times but now I can't remember the rest of the subject matter. I cvan only assume that level of dreaming had to come from the HGHpro, and I REALLY hope I get to experience it again.

I need to utilize those more. I always get DOMS right on the outer edge of my rhomboids with these. I do mine close grip, with the V-grip hands. I used to do them wide grip, but I felt a better stimulation when I went close. What do you do?

Yo I love the ones you feel where the character in a video game, LOL and your the one doing the controlling. Gotta give this HGHPro a run I think. Sounds flippin vivid!

Thanks everyone yeah that dream was off the chain. I do my straight arm pull downs with a varied grip. I honestly grab the bar in a slightly different position for each set from about 9-12 inches apart moving out to about 30 inches apart by the last set.

I was getting frustrated on the Cable Crossovers at first. I put the weight pin in low on the stack and it said 50 and I was like ok I will just warm up with this. It was heavy!!! I felt weak having to work with 50 lbs per side. Luckily as I went to move it down I noticed the kg next to the side I was looking at. Wow much better I could deal with 110 lbs per side feeling a bit heavy for a warm up.

Oh yes by the way, I may not have mentioned this yesterday but I have some serious DOMcylces, I mean enough to make you shiver. Legs are just blasted, I guess from the Zerchers but my quads are more sore than they have been in quite some time. Walking very funny for the first 10-15 steps after sitting for any period of time.

Just did a 45-50 minute walk outside, going up and down the bayou bank was really breathing heavy. I think I am going to bring some work gloves and do some bear crawls up it next time then walk down bear crawl up. Yeah that sounds like fun doesn't it guys...

Nice that cold ground will have em happy with you for sure. Funny you are up in the cold and I am down here getting pretty darn dark already from being outside on my walks.

I would be game though the gf is in town this week and it will be her last week living with me until she is in the new place... I foresee my balls being chopped off if I ditch her on Saturday night. I do appreciate the offer but unless something comes up where she has other plans, I will have to pass. I will shoot you a PM or email if that is the case, that looks like a cool show to see.

Man you focus on that Brother, I know what it takes. I am so frustrated with my prep being put off again but this time I am really entertaining the idea od taking 2 weeks off of everything. I am going to see how I feel after this weekend. If not feeling marked improvments I will just take 2 weeks off of all li... liffff.... lift....lllllift... llllifting.... WHOAH that was hard to say and will be even harder to make myself do.

Just take some family time, plan some events with the wife, some with the kids. Enjoy yourself, have some fuggin fun!! Then come back a refreshed... with a clear mind and spirit... Hey if we can't do that then it's time to reflect on why we do this in the first place. I love lifting but I love my time off too. Injury can be just a way of saying you've earned a break. If you've earned it then it should feel good...
