KLEEN - Gets REDEFINE’D & grows to 6% w/ 1-Andro & PCT Revolution Black (Sponsored)

You have to have a trap or shrug bar available. This is very similar to the one I have at home but some have raise handles which basically turn it into a rack dead lift since you don't end up going very deep. Of course with that bar you could easily turn it over and use the other side which is not raised to get deeper and get the legs more involved. With the one I have I end up about an inch inch and a half higher than a parallel squat. Since my hip is bothering me this is my heavier workout. However I need another set of 45's I have tons of 25s but they filled my bar to quickly and I couldn't go any heavier. One more set of 45's will get me about another 100 lbs up. I could have went at least anoother 20 lbs higher for 2 reps if I had more room on the bar. I had 2 45, 4 25's, and a 10 on each side with no room for the collars on my two reps set so you can see how I ran out of room.

These still hit lower back, lats and traps hard but add a lot more emphasis on the entire thigh and hip so much more effective for leg work than a regular dead lift, and hit more musculature than a squat or regular dead lift does.

I know that is why I put would have, it is a shame, no matter how messed up she might have been with drugs and alcohol, I don't wish anything like that on anyone!

I know that hell, Spiritually is not about trying to get to heaven, it's about escaping from hell and not wanting to go back... something I used to hear oaccasionally that I thought I'd share. Have to remember how bad it really was and there are plenty of reminders around.

You all posted these the other day while I was responding just saw them. Doug for sure you got it right for her. However Al, I would love to find out that Casey Anthony was beaten half to death then revived with adrenaline just long enough to realize she was being tied to 4 horses and quartered like the old days. Not passing judgement on her God can decide what to do with the pieces.

Just FYI, I am eating about 2 lbs of lean turkey spaghetti right now out of a big serving bowl, just saying... Oh yeah about halfway done. MOAR CARBS! MOAR PROTEIN!!! I don't stop eating until 9 tonight so will probably have more later. Oh yeah gotta get those lost cals from earlier this week back in me.

Piggy wiggy. Lol it sounds really good.

Holy Crap is it hot out there in that garage today. Have only had a Cell Shock Sample and it was pretty darn good. I am waiting for stomach to cool off a bit beofe throwing down a huge meal...

Trap Bar Deads in 98 degree garage - 225x12, 325x10, 375x8, 405x6, 425x4, 445x2, 375x6, 375x6 Holy Crap I must have lost 5 lbs of sweat. Now I have to get enough carbs and water in to make up for it. Getting ready for that part now.
You guys in Texas have had it really rough with the heat this summer. Over 40 days with triple digit heat.......no fun!! Heat records are being broken left and right all across the country. It's miserable here in the deep South also. The humidity adds to the misery. Heat indexes have reached 115 degrees. That's too dang hot for my Teutonic blood!!

The initial was but I just couldn't force more real food down later so had a shake with honey in it to get the rest of my cals and what not.

Yeah the football teams are gonna have it rough this year too they start practicing today. The fields are all cracked with 2 and 3 inch cracks where the dirt has dried and pulled away from each other my son is in sports medicine and I have a feeling he is going to be very busy with heat issues and sprained ankles from the cracks in the field.

I woke up this morning looking RIPPED! Chest is actually a littlse sore from Saturday, glutes, lower and upper traps are sore from yesterday but my hip did not hurt at all with these and is still not feeling any negative effect from them so I think I made a good move here. I will be changing the order of the split hitting chest and back on Tuesday and Arms and shoulders on Saturday. To many "social lifters" on Saturday, found myself getting frustrated with them and having to wait. Ran one group away from a machine after seeing them chat by it for 5 minutes with noone doing a set. I finished my other exercise gave them about 2 minutes then said if your talking do it somewhere else this place is for working out. They all grabbed there stuff and walked away then everytime we made eye contact after that they looked away quickly. At least I know they didn't want further confrontation.

Yes like TG said, the heat is terrible right now in Houston. Luckily humidity is not super high these last few weeks; just really really hot. The big difference is the sun in blisteringly hot on your skin, if you don't wear sun screen you are toast. As for the people at the gym, I would wait about 30 seconds then would move in, I have no patience for that anymore at all.

kleen never lifted with a hex bar. Heard it is easier to pull than a regular bar though

yeah thunder its been hot at least for a month, went down to about 85 here in west TN and heard about the record texas temperature

I use hex bars with high school football players during strength and conditioning it assists with posture and almost eliminates bad form. Also it allows one to add I'd say in excess of 200 extra lbs as opposed to conventional barbell deads.

Yeah another 102-103 day today.

Interesting my regular dead lift and my trap bar deadlift are pretty comparable. You sure you don't mean 20 lbs? I mean the ones with the raised handles which would be like a rack dead lift I can see an extra 200 but on this one not for me. I can pull 435x3 on regular bar and 445x2 probably 3 if i pushed it with a trap bar.
Still killing it I see Chris! Good stuff man!
Trying, having a rough time keeping water on with all the heat and the AI in PCT Rev Black being so effective.

I know all about the ripped feeling in the morning, it's pretty sweet...
Yeah love it. Love the swelling feeling I am getting now too. Just ate a good amount of left over turkey spaghetti, a sandwich with about 6 oz of turkey meat, a protein smoothie w/ 3 scoops whey and 1 cup frozen blueberries. I have a jalapeno pretzel I am going to eat about 3:00-3:30, with 12 oz chicken breast, ranch style beans and 1 cup rice. Then I go home and eat dinner and a snack. Filling up big time!!!!!!

Hoping that pretzel will help me keep a little water. Also having a hydration drink to replace electrolyste. Have been having one a day for past 3 days may go to 2.

Yeah... Those Hex bars are the $hit, I wish the gym I am currently going to had one!

Today was another Chest and Back workout. I changed the order of my lifting because way too many guys are in the gym pumping their chest on Saturday so the can have a pump for whatever they are going to go do afterwards. So Saturday will be for Arms and light Shoulders, and Sunday will remain Trap Bar Deads. Although I did feel that the deads had an affect on my rows today that is fine if they are beat then I will go lighter on them. Since the heavier work on Sunday a light day for the rowing or "thickness" portion of the lift is okay with me. I did reintroduce Assisted Pull Ups today. My Rhomboids are a bit out of condition from being careful with the shoulder and keeping the arms in to avoid too much extra pressure and fritcion on the healing part of the labrum. However, in 3 days we are 8 months out from surgery and that means I should be completely healed as far as the cartilage goes. So I feel more confident in using that grip with a slightly wider grip. As my rhomboids get reconditioned I should be able to match my performance on chins with the pull ups, or about 1 shy. I have always been a little bit stronger on chins than pull ups so matching would be pretty impressive. Today I had to go with assisted and the pull from the bottom was quite easy but as I got to the top the poor conditioning of my rhomboids became obvious too me. Both reps and weight fell off rapidly after the second set. I was noticing in my progress pics the detail of my back was not as impressive to me as usual, and it was the hump of a rhomboid I had before and does not look as big now. However muscle memory will fix that quickly. It looks like I am dropping a little strength on bench also but considering I did back, and chest on Saturday and my chest was not fully recovered, I could tell when I flexed so all of my weights should be down a bit.

I am sitting at just under 200 lbs this morning and am looking pretty darn lean. Water won't stay on regardless of how much I have to drink. I had 2 gallons yesterday and still having some mild dehydration symptoms. So I didn't go for my walk at lunch, trying to keep as much water in me as possible. I am really going to pound down some calories today too and see what I weight tomorrow, I hope last weeks illness did not cost me any actual LBM but even if so I am looking really good right now and not complaining at all. I had some of the Kroger Ground turkey last week and got pretty sick. Hey guess who got a recall notice on that very same turkey this past weekend. Yep ME!!!!

As far as my physique looks I am very pleased right now. The fat pockets under my chest keep coming up higher and higher and soon will be tucked all the way up under the lip of my chest. I have no signs of gyno, my abs look more defined and my waist line is much smaller. Due to the drying out effect I am also seeing my skin tighten but this will be temporary. My 34's hang down off my giant backside and just hang a little loose in front. I put on 32 waist pants today and the waist was fine but the legs had become so tight that well... if it were the disco era they would have been perfect. Anyway on to the lift.

12 Reps - Moderate tempo 1 minute rest periods.

BB Flat Bench - 135, 165, 185, 205x9 - I got less on 205 here than lst time I did it almost 2 weeks ago but my chest was still not fully recovered. I forsee these numbers going up quickly.

Assisted Pull Ups (weight is after subtracing the assistance from body weight) - 120, 140, 120x8, 80x5 - Not overly impressive here but I was holding for a second or two at the top of the contraction to try to really get the rhomboids reconditioned. Out of the bottom pretty much all of them were easy but last two sets it was the top portion that was killing me. I know for sure this will come up quickly with muscle memory.

DB Incline Bench - 65, 75 Not bad for right now. I think I should be moving up relatively quickly the 75 was not heavy, it was work but not heavy. Still trying to figure out what weights I should be lifting on other exercises.

DB Rows - 60, 60 - like I mentioned above the deads had my back a little beat so these were plenty to get a good pump and not hinder recovery.

Straight Arm Pec Deck - 100, 130 - I definitely need to go up on the weight here.

Straight Arm Lat Pull Downs - 50, 60 felt a nice little burn, lats were pretty much toast by this point and this did exacty what a finisher should do.

Damn Chris, I mean I'm happy to hear you are lean and mean and holding very little water for esthetic purposes, but sorry to hear you were sick and your strength is down, no worries, it will come back, always does, just a mild speed-bump in the whole scheme of things!

I like the bicycle tire on the 45Lb plate, seriously!
Me too but he gets a fail for the talc powder, where is his lifting chalk? Oh well I am using rosin on mine so not as bad but not as good as chalk either.

Thanks, and no worries, it was just training to close and then my rhomboids being deconditioned. My strength was great on Saturday, just had some of that bad turkey last week and was having a rough time keeping food down. Porbably also a factor in the dehydration, I am taking steps to correct it now with extra potassium and some more sodium when taking in carbs.

Well if anyone can nutritionally bring themselves back to normal it would be you my friend, glad to hear you are moving in the direction of 100% recovery!

I look deflated a bit when I get up but very ripped. I love it when I go to the gym and get pumped up by that time I have lunch down so I am more full. I had 18 oz chicken with salad greens and 3 oranges for lunch, oh and a cup of potato salad. That was enough to get me a great pump in the gym.. after it was 3 scoops of whey then 4 turkey sausages, 8 egg whites and 4 cups frozen yogurt. I find I hold some of that when I get up early but pretty dry yah...

I love me some sausages and they allow me get them into my diet as they are only 7 gram fat to 15 grams protein which is a much better ratio than other sausages....

After a build day I look damn solid and pretty lean the next morning as long as I didn't go overboard. After the burn day I wake up looking really lean but flat. Then like you after my first meal that day I begin to really fill up.

How long do you have left on your PCT Chris?
Next week is the final week of PCT hard to believe we are already almost 4 weeks into this. As I said before I won't be logging my gradual drop off from the PCT Rev Black, I am already down to 1 a day and will go to one every other day starting tomorrow through next week, after that every 3rd day. However I see no reason to continue logging past next week as I will no longer be trying to recover just trying to avoid an estrogen rebound. I will pop back in to update if I experience any rebound however I highly doubt that is even a remote possiblity.

Note to self:

Self, go to the grocery store and buy more turkey sausages...........they're the bomb!!!

I know I keep looking at that and thinking to myself. I must have that. Like for Sunday Brunch when i make everyone pancakes and eggs. Just add in turkey sausage too. MMMMMMM!!!!!!

Not a bad profile at all for sausage. So what is your flavor / brand of choice on the 4 cups of frozen yogurt. I haven't done the frozen yogurt thing yet because I think the rest of my family would feel entitled to eat it and since they don't follow any real kind of diet I would be engraining them with a dessert fetish that could have disastrous consequences for them. Yet if I hide it in the deep freeze...

I like pecan carmel swirl, but will settle for chocolate.

I love making omelettes with those turkey sausage links all pinched up into peices, egg whites, a few yolks and lots of low-fat cheese.

Yah that's what I do just slice them up and add them to the egg whites with a little hot sauce..

The turkey breakfast sausage, not links but the stuff in the tube, is awesome and has a lot less fat. It is great being that you can eat much more, get more protein and end up with nearly half the fat intake.

So just an update of how things are going. I think I am having some major ozone allergy issues, they get me worse than any other allergy. Yesterday I went to lunch with the wife and just from being outside for that 5 block walk to her building I got stuffed up and my eye were immediately bloodshot. Go figure. Anyway I had to take a benedryl when I got back to my desk because I was having to breathe through my mouth. I am intelligent so not a mouth breather. Ok, sorry kind of rude but I think people sitting around with their mouth hanging open automaticaly look like their IQ is in the 80 range. Anyway I digress, I got home and ate the first wave of my dinner, was a big one. Went and sat on the couch and next thing I know my wife woke me up and told me to go to bed. It was 7:15. She said I fell asleep immediately when I sat on the couch. Honestly I needed the rest so it is all good. I know that doesn't have anything to do with PCT just part of my life. If you follow my logs you get to be a part of my life so I share it out of comraderie.

PCT related updates - I decided to only do some walks at lunch the rest of this PCT and even those are limited. I have not done any cardio this week, but am definitely going on a walk at lunch today because my heart/circulatory system wants me too. Not really doing that for the fat loss aspect. I decided after last week that there will be no effort on my part to lean up at all, and limiting cardio to avoid any catabolism if cortisol tries to rise up as the Arimstane levels go down. I am breaking fast on burn days between 12 and 3 instead of continuing to burn all days. I may indeed continue to get leaner but not focusing on it at all and haven't really been during this PCT. Dropping 5 lbs of what appears to be mostly water is acceptable to me as I said I am very close to my goals and plan to start more hybrid training soon to just be more physically fit. I will still lift, and always will but will add in some GPP, some shadow kick-boxing, heavy bag work, tire drags, and throws. More hill sprinting and other conditioning work in the place of a lot of the normal cardio. I plan to make a slosh pipe or two, and use them as well. I am going to check at both of my gyms to see if they have a yoga class at a time I can get there.

I like pecan carmel swirl, but will settle for chocolate.
Oh yeah that sounds great! So you eat a quart of this every night or are the smaller single serving cups?

I love making omelettes with those turkey sausage links all pinched up into peices, egg whites, a few yolks and lots of low-fat cheese.
And the Thunder Rolls! My goodness my stomach sounds like thunder after that. I love me an omelette but you forgot jalapenos! Man am I hungry now, and that is through a Dexaprine! I guess I should actually say Man I am craving that now...

Ever since I started my diet it seems like all you guys do is talk about food, food, and more food! LoL, I know this is not true, but I just zero in on it so much more since I have started my diet, LoL! Oh well... A means to an End I keep telling myself! Worst case scenario, I'll be the best looking 6'2" ripped guy in a pink tutu ever....

Now we're talking good grubbin'.

Once your abs start popping you won't give two flips about anyone elses food. The mirror will be your dessert! However we do love to talk about food, but has been goin on for some time, it is your limited food variety that makes it stand out so much. Speaking of have you looked into the Layne Norton Cheesecake? That may suit your macros to work a piece in every few days.

Oh yeah hot sauce to but I still need my jalapenos. MMMMMM Maybe I could dice me up a few with said green bell peppers and onions and keep in fridge for a day or two. Just enough for an omelette or two or toss on a salad. That or a sliver of habanero. Of course I love hot food. Not hot for the sake of being hot but hot as all get out with tons of flavor. YUM!

Just got back from my walk outside only 100 today which is way better than 102 surprisingly that 2 degrees makes a huge difference, that and there was a very slight breeze. I feel phenomenal after that walk. Just downed 32 oz of water and going to get another quart when I make my first meal here in a minute. I had to fight the urge to break into a run on several occasion. I am just wanting to sprint lately, be explosive, which is my natural inclination and one I have been fighting against with being so careful lifting recently.

I pulled my shirt up in the elevator to have a gander at my abs in the mirrored doors and man I wish I could get a pic of how they look in that light. Major differences I just don't see where I take my pics at home. Amazing what good lighting allows you too see.

Also earlier I was setting up a video conference and was reading something off my blackberry and out of the corner of my eye I caught a glimpse of my arm just holding the blackberry my biceps It looked huge and ripped. As in I was actually surprised and impressed by it. One of those and I look at other guys wondering if my arms look like that. Well no they don't they look BETTER!!!!

Yeah, I don't have anything against a tiny cheat slice or something 1 x per week! I mean about 1 x per week I'll eat a few rice cakes with peanut butter, usually Sunday while I have my daughter, she likes them too! Thanks to EasyEJL, I found out that SAM's Club has 26oz jar of Almond Butter for only $8/jar, so needless to say I picked myself up a jar and can't wait to try it out this Sunday!

Oh yeah hot sauce to but I still need my jalapenos. MMMMMM

Speaking of Hot Sauce, I LOVE every single flavor of Tobasco: Flavors I've seen and tried thus far...
- Original
- Extra Hot
- Jalapeno
- Chipotle
- Buffalo
* I think I saw a Habanero, but if I am right, I have not tried that one, that might actually be too hot for me!

I literally have a door shelf dedicated to all my different types of Hot Sauces, my wife thinks I'm crazy... Aaaa, what can I say I'm a regular Hot Sauce connoisseur!!!

OK, I just found it on the official site, there is a Habanero sauce and two other sauces I missed, a Garlic Pepper sauce & a Sweet & Spicy sauce, here is the link to the whole line-up... Invalid Link Removed

I like the Tabasco Habanero, I have some stuff with capsaicin extract I add to it to make it hotter. It has a great flavor but not as hot as you would think for having habanero in it. You would probably be fine with it. I get stupid things that are like 50,000 and 120,000 on the scoville scale from special hot sauce stores online. A typical habanero pepper is like 10,000 on the scoville scale I think. The 120,000 one I have I use to add to other sauces that have good flavor but are not as hot as I prefer. That or use a couple drops in or on food. About 5 drops of it will make a bowl of chili hot enough to have me sweating pretty nicely and others won't eat it. If I am not sweating then it isn't hot enough. However it HAS to have good flavor. None of that hot just for the sake of being hot crap...

I could not agree more with this statement! Ok, so if a Habanero is 10,000 on the scoville scale, then what would you guestimate Tobasco Habanero to be? I ask because I cannot get away with eating a Habanero pepper, well not without pay the price anyway, LoL! None of the other Tobasco products are too hot for me including the extra hot Tobasco, I just assumed the Habanero would be the hottest because of the name!

However it HAS to have good flavor. None of that hot just for the sake of being hot crap...

OK, I remember when I was in the "French Market" last time I went home to New Orleans, I was with my wife, first time she had ever been to New Orleans and I wanted her to experience the French Quarter and the French Market, anyway it is no different than any other flea market style venue and they had a booth with all the different Hot Sauces around the world and they had this one, supposedly from Jamaica I believe and it was supposed to be the hottest hot sauce in the world and she would let you taste it, she took out an entire slice of white bread and put one teeny-tiny drop in the center of the slice, and I mean teeny-tiny drop! I folded the bread like 4 times and ate it, my mouth was on FIRE, I'm talking heart racing, sick to my stomach sweating, felt like I was gonna die or something and that lasted for about 10 mins, then it still took an additional 30-45 minutes before I felt completely normal again! So now if someone ever comes around me and says, "hey you like hot stuff, wanna try this?" I just say, "Fuggg You!"!

It is probably half that it if that. It is pretty diluted, a habanero is 10,000 fresh, there MAY be 1 habanero per mid size bottle of it. Remember that Tobasco is catering to the consumer masses so even though it will be hotter than extra hot it will not be ridiculous. Hard for me to say but it is not as hot as many of the habanero flavors I have. The vinigar automatically removes some of the heat of the peppers. Don't they sell it in the stores there? Only 3-4 bucks. All the grocery stores around my area carry it. I think it is a safe buy for you if the X-tra Hot isn't to much. Flavor is really excellent so you should enjoy it. I can put several drops on my finger and lick it with out my mouth burning to much but it will make me break a bead of sweat.

Yeah Tabasco Habanero is nothing like that at all. They have stuff that is 16,000,000 on the scoville scale and are food additives only. Really anything over 1,000,000 on the scoville scale should be used as a food additive only. The 16,000,000 you have to handle with gloves... She probably gave you something around a 250,000-500,000 for you to react like that.

Yeah, I never thought of it that way, they are serving the masses, so it is probably safe! See that brings me to another educational story on hot stuff for me! 1st off, I am from New Orleans, Louisiana and I LOVE Hot food, I mean LOVE it! But there is a difference between hot with taste and hot for the hell of it as you put it! Ok, so one of the first times I learned my lesson, but not the ultimate one was when Hooters went from "Three-mile-island" being their hottest wings to "911" a friend an I bought our usual 50 and I ate about 12 and he ate like 8, we just could not do it, while if they were "three-mile-island" between the both of us we would finish all 50. The real learning experience was about 5-6 years ago when I went to Zaxby's, yes Zaxby's... if you are not familiar with that chain of fast-food chicken place, it is definitely for the masses and in a lot of ways tries to imitate Chic-Filet, anyway, I went and got 10 of their boneless wings at the drive through and asked for the hotest sauce they have, the guy on the microphone says... "You mean the 'Insane Sauce'" and I kind of chuckle and say sure! He hesitantly says... "Ok...." (like I'm going to regret it, $hit, I'm from New Orleans, what does this young teenage kid know, LoL) so when I get to the window he even says again, "are you sure?" and I was like, "yeah I'm sure" so I pay he gives them to me and I go back to my office to eat them! OK, so I had this pretty hot girlfriend visiting me on my lunch break and we were talking and I was eating and by the time I got to 8, I was like damn these things are hot, and it was even kind of hard to finish them because my lips were burning so bad, but out of pure pride, I finished them. After about 5 minutes I had to make the girlfriend leave and I just sat in my office chair and was hallucinating and breathing really heavy out of my completely open mouth, almost like a pant and it took about 10-15 minutes to be tolerable and about another 30 mins to be back to normal! We are talking about Zaxby's, made for the masses, I could not believe they even had a sauce that hot, I mean it blew the Hooters 911's away!!!

All I know is nothing has ever compared to that, that was the craziest thing even and I would not dare have eaten that on a cracker or something small, but I thought for sure that whole slice of bread would absorb that teeny-tiny drop for sure, but it didn't do a DAMN thingggg!!!!

Yeah some stuff is ridiculous. I go to Hooters here they have the Bentley it is the step above the 3 mile island and I love it!!!! I get them extra wet but every once in a while it is a bit much after about 15 or so. Now if on naked wings no big deal but the breaded ones sak up so much more of the sauce it is a lot hotter. I have eaten atomic, and suicide, and insanity a few were just hot for the sake of being hot. Suicide was pure habanero paste. I ate one it was ridiculously hot but I would have eaten more but there was no flavor at all just heat.

I like the bicycle tire on the 45Lb plate, seriously!

Yeah this is the one. I literally had teenage kids (big ones) pulling over 600lbs on these bars. When they could maybe pull 405 on a straight bar. It may have been inexperience and bad form(on the straight), but I think personally it gives a better center of gravity and allows for greater output.

Did it seem linear with the students or was it the ones who were stronger in squats than deads? Yeah it definitely gives a MUCH BETTER center of gravity. I have read those who are weaker in regular deads, and stronger in squats, see a big increase on what they can do with this bar for the exact reason, but a 200 lb difference never even crossed my mind. I have always been able to deadlift more than I squat. I am built for pulling more than squatting. Now you really have me curious if I just get buck how much over my normal dead I can get on this.

Green... I agree completely, the octagonal bar definitely allows for better and safer form, hence allowing for more weight when lifted properly! Almost 100% of any great power-lifter I have ever met or spoken to, claims that they could take just about any normal guy/gal, super-strong or super-weak and increase all of his/her lifts remarkably in a matter of a month just by teaching proper form, so with that being said, anytime a piece of equipment is designed to engage the body in proper form, lifts will automatically start increasing!

Kleen... I agree with you, I also believe that most people can dead-lift more than they squat, but they do go hand-in-hand! When I was a Sophmore/Junior in college I had a strength coach tell me that if I wanted to increase my squat, that I needed to start dead-lifting more. So I took him at his word and within a semester & a Summer (approx. 6 mos.) I took my dead-lift from 3 plates on each side to 5 plates on each side for reps and in the meantime, my squat also went from 3 plates on each side for like 4-6 reps to 5 plates on each side for 4-6 reps, for me... that was HUGE!!! Two more things I wanna add to that and that is one... when I was squatting that much weight, I was not going super deep, like a$$ to the ground, I wasn't doing wimpy little slight knee bends either, but I would take it down to around 10 degrees from paralel, which if anyone knows is that point of no-return if the weight is too heavy, so I took it right to that point and a spotter would give me that jolt on my chest letting me know I needed to explode up, so I'm still proud, just want to be clear that these were not picture perfect power-lifting qualified squats, now number two, my dead-lifts on the other hand, I kept going and a few years later was able to dead-lift my best ever which was 6 plates on each side for 6 reps, and a dead-lift is a dead-lift my friend, I mean if you can take it from the ground and go all the way up, then it counts and I could! Oh, and until my injury, my squats never got any better than the 5 plates on each side for 4-6 semi-assisted non-perfect form reps!

Lower body trying to increase weight on hip.

So today was a leg day, I was kind of over the whole super slow superset workout I did last Thursday. It just did not do what I needed it to do and my hip has been feeling better so I decided to push some weight but staying 200 lbs below where I left off. I kept the reps slower at a 2-0-2 tempo instead of just going for it like I was with the leg press before. I also put my feet closer together and lower on the platform to give my knee more flexion since not going as deep at the hip. Feet were about 10-12 inches apart, thighs came to chest so still more than a 90 degree but no where near what I was doing before, and the foot position had me over 90 degrees at the knees as well. Man this really put a lot of emphasis on my quads and I was loving it. My hip did not hurt during the lift at all. I do feel a tiny bit of irritation there shortly after the workout but never any pain. Just tightness. I am sitting here now with a cold pack on it. I may have still gone back up in weight a little too quickly but we will see how icing it treats it. After that I supersetted some Leg Ext and Seated Leg Curls 3 sets each nice and slow reps about 3-0-2 and just felt the burn. Legs were wobbling by the end.

Leg Press - 8p x 12, 12p x 12, 14p x12, 16p x12, 16p x12 that is total plates not per side. Rest was only as long as it took to add plates and get back in and situated.

Superset x3 No rest at all.
Leg Ext. 150 x12
Seated Leg Curl w/ toes pointed for full hamstring activation - 70x12

Donkey Calf raise machine - 290 x12 x2

Now for a little interesting stuff, I took measurements when I woke up this morning because I was noticing my arms look big recently. I have lost a good amount of weight I weighed in the morning at 198, fasted after a burn day. Not too bad. All my reviews are after a build day weigh in so I assume tomorrow morning I will be around 200. With this being the case as you probably noticed from my last couple updates, I was a little worried I was losing more muscle than I hoped due to last weeks stomach fiasco. Well I am pretty darned pleased with the measurements.

All measurements are cold no pump.
Arms (Flexed) 16 15/16 was 17 on 1-Andro down 1/16
Waist (1 inch above navel ) 33.5 was 35.5 beginning of PCT down 2 inches!!!!!
Shoulders 52.25 - no reference but a nice size regardless
Chest (lats tucked under and fully relaxed) 46, with lats out but not flared over 48
Leg 25.5 - 26 down .5 inch but was really full when the 26 measurement was taken and had a pump
Neck 17 - no reference but right in line with my arms.
Hips 40.5 - no reference but funny my butt is 7 inches bigger than my waist. LOL

Looking at these measurements I think it is obvious where the weight is coming from, lower water levels and MY WAIST LINE!!!! :)

On a negative note, I found my digital BF calipers on the floor in my computer room no longer working so I can not do a BF measurement. It is okay I will just go by the mirror and pictures.

Chris... Awesome on all the measurements, congrats Brotha, holding & dropping all in the right places, I like it.. I like it!!!
