I am really excited to try this product. It has a nice ingredient line up and will be my only source of major stimulants so I am banking on the thermogenic effect I know these ingredients to have to help me in my quest to become ripped. I plan on getting down as low as 6% maybe not before the end of this log but I will definitely be well on my way. I will be commenting on all of the major factors considered in a pre workout product; Stim Effect, Pump, Tingle Factor, Focus, Aggression, and of course vascularity.

NUTRITION I am currently running a Lean Gains eating protocol it is an Intermittent Fasting Protocol that has a 16 hour fasting period and an 8 hour eating window. It is working extremely well for me and gives me a lot more freedom of food choices so maintaining it will almost be effortless. I have been following this for about 8 weeks now and have cut recomped aggressively.

I will be logging in detail about my training, and nutrition as well. Good discussion is encouraged here.

TRAINING - My current split is 3 lift days a week alternating between an upper body and lower body / core workout.

Upper body - 12 Reps Tempo is controlled lifting about 3 seconds per rep.
Flat Bench - 2 warm up 2 work sets
Chins Grip Pull Downs - 2 warm up 2 work sets
Standing Shoulder Press - 1 work set
EZ Bar or BB Curl - 1 work set


Lower Body - 12 Reps Tempo is controlled lifting about 3 seconds per rep, except for trap bar dead lifts those will be 2-3 warm ups and a 20 rep rest pause style set, not taking more than 10-sh seconds max. I am working towards a goal of 405x20 in the next 12-15 months. If I maxed out at it now I would say I could get 325-335 x20 but I am going to move up gradually and give my joints and tendons to get used to the pounding so I will be starting that at 285x20. Should be a fun ride and this is just the beginning of that journey. They will also be done a little separated from the rest of the workout. I am doing them at home so they are either before my workout on Saturdays or during week days they are after work.

Trap Bar Dead Lift 20 Rep Rest Pause Set
Leg Press - 2 warm ups, 2 work sets -Feet low on platform to hit quads more.
Calve Press - 2 Sets
Weighted Crunch Machine or Draw Bridges - 3 sets

Now lets get WYKED!!!!

Protein 112g 448 cals
Carbs 138g 552 cals
Fat 16g 144 cals

1144 cals in fast breaking meal. Nice and low fat so far should make for a nice insulin spike, also took 300mg of ALA 30 minutes prior to eating. Fats will be higher in the next two meals, I just didn't want too many in with all the carbs.
 
Lower Body 5/12/11 Part 1

So I didn't manage to update in here yesterday because there are so many awesome logs going on with Lean Gains right now and I was all over the place reading them. I also didn't workout yesterday. Work was really busy and I didn't get to take a lunch so my normal lunch time walk got taken away... I took another Dexaprine yesterday and was able to extend my fast to 7:15 PM and honestly didn't get hungry until around 6:30 when I started cooking.

I ate a 1.25 lb lean ground turkey patty cooked on the foreman grill with a bunch of Hot Jerk seasoning in it and it was awesome! I use my foreman as a fat press too when trying to cook meats leaner. I just press down hard on the top of the grill and squeeze any of the extra fat I can out of the meat. Was about 1200 cals total and that was all I ate yesterday. :)

Okay on to this mornings workout. I took 2 scoops of WYKED today and it was good, not too much stronger than the 1.5 but definitely noticeable.

Lower Body 12 reps tempo 2-1-2 Part 1
Leg Press - 4 plates, 12 plates, 14 plates, 14 plates + 20, 3rd and 4rth sets both up 20 lbs from last workout.

Calve Raises - 220x15, 280x15 both up 10 lbs, no big deal both sets are very easy just doing them to give the muscle a little bit of blood flow. No need for growth here.

Inversion hangs from Roman Chair - 2 sets of 2 minute hangs to elongate the spine and increase circulation to the disks and supportive tissue. Man these felt awesome. I got back up from them and felt really good. While hanging a normally tight spot in my back popped and I felt some relief.

Part 2 will take place tonight when I do my Trap Bar Deadlifts. I will be going up to 295 or 305x20 tonight. I will have to look in my notebook and see what the schedule calls for. I also decided to start doing a couple sets of Incline Shrugs after my deads to get the retracting muscles of my shoulder girdle worked more since they are not being worked much with upper body and fit better here with the dead lifts where they are already being worked staticly.

I know, I should be ashamed of myself. I shall give myself 100 lashes with a wet noodle.

Well at least I ended with the same deficit as if I had worked out by having an even lower calorie day. Don't really care too much where the deficit comes from since catabolism isn't a concern from a day of fasting anyway. I used to worry about that but not any more. Learning info is so liberating!

I was sooo messing with you, this is a great log and you are doing some amazing things! I just need to get myself ready to do my next big log, gotta be in-it to win-it before I start and honestly, right now, my head is really into school, just kind of maintaining in the gym and with my body for the time being!
 
I figured you were messing with me. School is more important you can do a log when you are ready to do it.

Haha dang phone. lol So a couple things of note got my progestine today. Took double dose then lifted got my 305*20 as planned. Will weigh in the morning and start new log tomorrow. Gonna double dose again before bed.
