Kat and Puccah's Strong is the new sexy log

Kat, I learned the hard way. Just remember to check craigs list everyday, the good deals go quick.

Thank you! I have been. I have to get a bit more saved up though plus I have nowhere to store it until we move. So I'm mostly making mental plans right now.

It's nice to make a plan also when you go to these places with Craigs List get the deal you want or walk. Lowball them, if they are serious they will meet your price. If not don't be afraid to walk. Buying off of craigs list you should only purchase the "Steals" and not the "Deals". Think of the lowest reasonable off you can and then offer less. That way you can barter back up to what you consider the lowest reasonable offer. If they can't meet that then it is See Ya! Most people see cash in hand even if it is a lot less than they want they get the fear of loss, like someone else might not want it and then they are stuck with it.

That's how I got that $400 bench / squat rack, $289 Texas Power Bar and 390lbs of olympic weights all for $250... that's $1000 of stuff easily!!! I forgot to mention he listed it at $450...

I will decide ahead of time what I want to pay put that much money in my right pocket, make the offer if the person declines, I show them the cash tell them I understand, but that's all I got, sorry, 9 out of 10 times as you are walking away you will get the "Hey I'll tell you what I'm going to do ................

Yep! That's how it is done! Make sure to show the cash that way it multiplies the fear of loss!!!!

Just bought my daughter a car that way 4 mo. ago.
Guy told me it was his daughter's old car and had been sitting in the garage for 2 years (it had the dust on it to prove it.) and his wife was bugging him to get rid of it. he was asking 3k which was a great deal. Asked him if he would take $2,200 as I pulled the roll of hundies out of my pocket. He was like no way and then saw the roll of cash and said let me think about it. took him 5 seconds to say this would be a perfect first car for my daughter (She was standing there with me) then he said she seems like a great girl and he would take the $2,200.
It was a 2005 Pontiac Sunfire loaded (for 2005) and only had 79k on it. only thing wrong with it was the tag light was out and the horn didn't work.
Hell my car has 260k.

NICE!!! Seeing the money makes a BIG DIFFERENCE!

Thanks guys! Sorry I haven’t been on here in a while! I haven’t slacked on trading or anything. Still going strong. I’ve had to make some changes though. I am 98% sure I’ve figured out that the pain in my right hip is actually a labral tear unfortunately. I have stopped all squats and anything else that hurts it like sprints. I have been doing a LOT of lunges and leg press. Bench press arch bothers it occasionally but I’m trying to work around it and adjust my form. I talked to a female trainer friend that tore hers a couple of years back as well. I am debating on whether to do ART next or get an MRI to confirm the tear...

if you can afford it get a MRI.

That’s kinda what I’m leaning towards. I have not been to the dr at all this year so I haven’t even touched my deductible. So I’m debating waiting until after the first of the year because I’m sure they’ll send me to a physical therapist and such which is all covered once I meet my deductible. It hurts a lot but I’m trying to avoid most everything that hurts it. From my research, I don’t know that I’ll consider surgery but hopefully be able to learn how to best train around it and reduce the pain.

I up-cycled my protein containers...I was surprised I had so many empty or almost empty ones! Haha

Those look nice. Can't let my wife see this, she will have all kinds of ideas. lol

No you are thinking of it wrong. "Honey, just look my supplements can benefit the whole household. Not just me, I told you this wasn't a selfish endeavor!"

:D :D :D

Did you paint them ??

Exactly!

Did you paint them ??

Yes, I chalk painted them and even used wax to help keep me from scratching the paint off too.

Lol that’s a good thing though! Funny thing is my family thinks everything I have is protein...when now I really only have 1 partial tub of protein and the other cabinet is FULL of a large variety of other supplements.

I know, right?? I'm not sure which is worse, HGTV or Pinterest. My wife wants me to sand a pallet smooth (any idea how long it takes to sand a pallet smooth??) so I can make some kind of a table out of it.

I built most of my home gym with used equipment bought on Craigs List. You need to check it everyday but some of thee deals are increasable.

Sorry. But, is that your home gym for real? This could possibly be a commercial gym here in India. Lolz..

Good luck with that. I think I would have bought some good wood and sanded it and put it together. lol
My son make all kinds of stuff out of pallets. I always have a supply here at work. we use probably 1 out of every twenty we get in from vendors.

Haha I have saved a ton of ideas from pallets too but in reality, most of them would be easier just buying the wood! I just need someone to teach me how to use all of the tools! ?

Fyi I called the orthopedist and scheduled an appointment for Friday. I am going to see if he will try a cortisone shot to see if it will give me some relief until I can get an MRI.

Thank you! Trying my best to work around it! It doesn’t usually bother me too much on upper body.

Yes, I do have strength and good looks. Seems kind of random to bring me into this since you were replying to Kat, lol.

Killing it again! I think Radiate is a awesome Pre. Especially when you're tired and need to get to the gym.
