She just wants attention... has nothing to do with trying to right an unjustice. I have never met a woman that said, I wish I could bleed freely and ruin my clothes. I don't understand why I should try to preserve my clothing, or keep my possibly infectious blood away from others. I actually like the way the blood coagulates on my inner thigh after a couple hours.I don't think things like this are to prove men wrong. I think it's more of an attention ("hey look at me" ) grabber. Period shaming doesn't happen nearly as much as people make it out to. Every person over the age of 5 knows women have periods. There are much bigger & more hygienic causes she could be representing/standing up for. I don't blame her for not wearing a tampon while running a marathon (uncomfortable), but that's what menstrual cups are for!! Someone should enlighten her!!!
BARF!
Got to the gym about 15 mins late this morning and then had to wait on a bench...I even forgot how to count! Lol It wasn't until I finished benching that I realized I used 2.5lb plates last week and not 5lb plates ...so no wonder I couldn't complete all of the reps! I was getting frustrated too!

Best weight you have used for this. This is how you want to be failing. Remember in training that failing is a success, it means you pushed beyond your current capabilities. Now your body has to work to close that gap.
She wanted attention, and since Miley Cyrus already died her underarms pink this was the obvious next choice... LOLWhat is this "period shaming" that she's talking about? Is she talking about if someone refers to us being in a bad mood, we must be on our periods? I've never been period shamed before so I have no clue why she did this. Just like you said, everyone knows that women have periods.
Haha! That is funny they were talking about this on the radio this morning. The question was "First Date, should a woman pay?" The response from the ladies no he should. Then it was asked well what if the woman asked the man out. The answer was still he should pay... So the DJ says okay where exactly is the line. You want gender equality when it comes to all of the perks, but when it comes to the inconvenience things it should fall on the man. How is the gender equality? He went on to say that most women when asked will say a man should pay the way, or open a door, be polite, yada yada yada because it is nice to be treated like a lady. They want special exceptions for everything that gives them a leg up but the things that are not favorable for them should still be the man's place.Eh, I personally don't care. Did you read that article about one chick saying that tampons should be covered by insurance because it's a medical issue?
Come on, people. We want gender equality but at the same time feel like we should be given special treatment because we're women?!
To me I definitely see the irony in that on a regular basis. Me, I just do me, I try to be chivalrous when I can. I try to offer assistance and be a gentlemen because that is how I was raised. That is my job as a man for what I see a man as being. However I also have the ability to assess if a woman is a lady and is deserving of such treatment. If you are not being lady like I am probably not going to treat you like it either.
