I hate the miss labeling of these products. "4 grams net carbs" ... Each bar has 23grams of carbs (one gram of sugar) soluble corn fibre.
I’ve seen a lot of conflicting info on soluble corn fiber but it doesn’t seem to have any significant impact on blood glucose. Anecdotally I can eat 2 quest bars and not get kicked out of ketosis

They are trying to mis-lead the uneducated
Dietary fiber typically yields ~2 calories per gram. Soluble fiber is thought to provide a greater number of calories than insoluble fiber. This is due to its ability to be digested through a process of fermentation by our gut bacteria, which in turn produces short-chain fatty acids (SFA’s) which can be reabsorbed across the intestinal lumen and used as energy if required.

Dietary fiber that can be declared on the nutrition information label includes certain naturally occurring fibers that are “intrinsic and intact” in plants, as well as added, isolated, or synthetic non-digestible soluble and insoluble carbohydrates. Anything considered to be non-dietary fiber must instead be declared in the total carbohydrate section of the nutrition panel.

Some people don't count carbs from fiber or erythritol. It even lists that right on the back of their package
23g carbs - 15g fiber - 4g erythritol = 4g net carbs.

I personally don't 100% agree with it because I work with Type I and Type II diabetics who eat quest bars see their BG shoot up.

Damn that’s interesting for sure, assuming these are the new quest bars not the old ones with IMO right?

Definitely recall reading a study that compared IMO, SCF, and placebo. IMO had a big impact on blood glucose but SCF and PLA group had no significant differences, will see if I can find it when I have the time. I eat quest bars pretty regularly, hasn’t seemed to have an impact on my urine ketone levels but definitely interested to learn more here

Old and New
Monitor your BG levels. I have had the diabetics see a rise of 10-20 points on their BG from quest bars. Not to say everyone will react the same, but it is what I have noticed working with a variety of individuals over the years and modifying their nutritional needs.

That's what I like to see! Someone hip to dosing Lugol's Iodine! Unreal how many benefits it has. Literally knocked out the "can't get off my couch flu" in 6 hours for me. Dosed to a protocol online at 5-8 drops of 5% every 2 hours, from 8am to about 4pm, I literally sat up on my couch, the FLU was GONE and I was able to work out. Couldn't believe it seeing/feeling it in real time like that.

I like it but first impression is that it’s not their best flavor. I have only had only in a shaker with water. Will try it later in a blender- I think it will prob make a difference with the thick mix ins of cookies.

Noted it is way better than man’s cookie stuffed cookie which was absolutely terrible
What do you do for a blender mix? Scoop of protein, water, ice, milk?

I've been doing a scoop of the Chips Ahoy protein with 6oz unsweetened vanilla almond milk, ice, and some sugar free chocolate syrup blended in.

Thanks to @The Solution this package was 100% free.
These protein crisp are amazing, basically a rice crispy treat with a layer of chocolate on the bottom, birthday cake mix in the middle, and chocolate drizzled on top. Very very good imo. Different than the ordinary protein bar.

Quest Nutrition Cinnamon Roll Protein Bar Review

Taste

Cinnamon Roll -

This is the new and improved Cinnamon Roll Quest Bar. The new bar contains chunk inclusions, more cinnamon roll flavor, and a drizzled topping. The bar base provides a subtle buttery undertone like a fresh baked cinnamon roll that is enhanced by the cinnamon flavor. Where the bar really shines Is the icing glaze and chunk inclusions. The glaze on top packs a luscious sweetness that resembles a vanilla icing. The chunks to me formed a slight glaze on the inside. This is nothing like the chunks you would get from Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough or Cookies and cream. The inner glaze resembles a light caramel glaze which actually works with the bar base and icing. All in all Cinnamon Roll was not even a top 10 flavor for me in the past., but with the upgrades it does crack my top 5. Great job Quest on improving upon the past.

Texture

Out of the wrapper you can notice the bar has the usual quest bar texture with the added flakiness from the chunks included on the inside and outside of the bar. Right out of the wrapper the bar had a soft texture, which was an issue with some of the original formula bars that got hard very quick. Overall I found this easy to eat right out of the wrapper and it did not need to be microwaved or broiled. I could puncture the outer layer with my finger.

Formula

6g Fat

23g Carbs

20g Protein

15g Fiber

4g Net Carbs

Quest has went back to the old formula which settles much easier and produces a softer bar. Not only has this pleased a large portion of the quest community, but the general supplement consumer as a whole. It makes them digest easier (for myself) and many others.

Cost

A Box of 12 Quest Bars retails for about $24-26 making it right around 2$ a bar. If you pop into a local mom and pop you may spend upward to $2.50-$3 a bar. Buying in bulk is usually the way to go for the best bang for your buck. Quest does run sales through multiple vendors over time where you can see bars dip below $20 a box, this is a great time to stock up on a new flavor and some of your other favorites from the brand.

Quest Rankings

** The original Cinnamon Roll was not even a top 10 flavor for me, so this was a huge improvement

1. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

2. Cookies & Cream

3. Mocha Chocolate Chip (I am very partial to coffee as I am a huge fan of it)

4. Cinnamon Roll (NEW)

5. Blueberry Muffin

6. Apple Pie

7. Double Chocolate Chunk

8. Chocolate Brownie

9. S’mores

10. Chocolate PB

Not in the mail but you get the idea.

Thought they were exclusive to certain places...guess not.

7/10 it’s good and very well done, I just think I prefer some of the their flavors more.

VPX Bang Birthday Cake Bash

Taste

Birthday Cake Bash -
Just by reading the name it may raise your eyebrow. When you open a can the first aspect you notice is a huge scent of frosting. I kid you not it is like opening a fresh jar of Pillsbury Funfetti frosting filling the aroma in the air. Upon my very first sip, this tastes exactly as you would expect when you read the name on the can. You pick up vibes of a refreshing yellow cake, and in the aftertaste, your taste buds hit luscious hybrid vanilla and funfetti frosting One of VPXs strong suits is their flavoring really applies to customers of all types, this flavor being more geared towards those that love a unique, sweeter flavor. With every review, I like to go into them with an open mind. Since I am partial to a birthday cake I am going to put this up there with their other sweet flavors such as Frose Rose and Cotton Candy.

Formula

~300mg Caffeine
Bang is known as an energy drink or an afternoon pick me up. There is a reason why the formula is not something you would see as a top tier pre-workout. With a long listing blend it is hard to say how much COQ10, EAA”s, and Creatine you are truly getting. For an on the go, and affordable drink the real reason people buy it is for flavor and caffeine.

Cost
The price will vary when there is a new launch of bang energy drinks. Buying single cans in person can range up to $3-4 from a local mom and pop, gym, or convenience store. You can find Bang Energy around $20-24/Case when buying online pending the current deals sometimes even lower. Keep your eyes out for great bang deals, when they are around it is great to stock up since the demand for the drinks is very high.

Top 10 Rankings

1. Cherry Blade Lemonade
2. Sour Heads
3. Frose Rose
4. Cotton Candy
5. Birthday Cake Bash
6. Purple Haze
7. Rainbow Unicorn
8. Bangster Berry
9. Black Cherry Vanilla
10. Purple Guava Pear

The gummy bear flavor is interesting lol but I definitely enjoyed it with my workout. I liked how full my muscles felt.

Quest Nutrition Loaded Taco Chips Review

Taste

Loaded Taco –
Quest Chips are an awesome snack and loaded taco is yet another great addition to the lineup. Right, when you bite into the chip you get the paprika and mild spicy undertone to enhance the chips. At no point did I feel these were too spicy to turn consumers away, but it provides a good picture of a true taco. There are subtle hints of taco seasoning (green bell pepper, tomato, and garlic) to enhance the flavor. While it would be impossible to provide a lettuce flavor as seen on the front of the picture you do get as good of a replica as you can to a taco for a low-calorie snack. I personally would like the spices a bit heavier, but I could see that being a downfall for the general population. These are deadly good, and most people will fly through a bag in no time.

Texture

The Chips are very fragile but still hold their composure even when shipped. There will be some that are broken into smaller shards, but that is almost impossible when they are going across the country. The chips are coated with seasoning and flavoring to resemble the flavor on the front of the package. They are very slim yet hold a good composure to resemble a triangle tortilla chip.

Macros

Calories - 140
5g Fat
5g Carbs
19g Protein
Protein Blend – (Milk Protein Isolate and Whey Protein Isolate)
Corn Starch, Physillum Husk
Spices – Onion powder, tomato powder, garlic powder, green bell pepper, paprika, spice, chai seed, turmeric

Cost

Quest Chips are around $20 a box, which yields 8 bags of chips. You can find some good deals on them from time to time. Currently, I see them on sale around $16 making them at $2 a bag. For a very portable, convenient, and on the go option that is a very good deal. These chips are tasty and will be gone in no time

They're pretty damn good, particularly if you're keto. They fill that craving and taste good. Texture is about 70% there.
