I'm back!

Forgot all the rest because we never write it down and we had a meeting to go to after the gym so I did not get to update.
 
I skipped post workout cardio today, I suck :) down to 188 this morning though, still no six pack to be seen
 
LOL Eric I had to skip it yesterday because of the meeting. But I worked hard non stop for the 45 min we train and my heart rate was up the whole time. I won't miss it again because I'm planning to play hard and look hot the end of Sept.
 
I have a business trip to detroit next week (yay) so I'll be mostly doing cardio during the trip so less concerned about skipping today. Last trip I was doing 45-60 minutes 2x a day, probably do the same there. I'm shooting for contest look or close by end of year, with actually competing in June.

I will not be going to the Olympia as we just can't afford it!! Though I will still be dieting and hitting the gym hard!
 
Back day

Started with a triple set of machine rows for 15 reps with 15 hyperextensions and 15 pikes for 4 sets.

Then we did another triple set of cable pull throughs for 15 reps and 10 push ups with 20 crunches for 4 sets.

Then we did 10 single arm cable rows each side supersetted with 6 reverse grip heavy pull downs for 4 sets with 30 mountain climbers.

Then we did a burpee on the dumbells up into a deadlift as a single rep for 15 reps and 4 sets.

Then we did 4 sets of reverse grip standing pulldowns heavy for 15 reps.

Cardio will be 20 min interval.
 
I will dieting into Halloween I believe. We have some costume parties to go to and I'm considering a corset vampiress type theme. Nobody looks good with fat rolling over the top of a corset!!
 
So yesterday was shoulders. It seems that sharing a computer with Matt means its been hard to update this log. Then I forget the workout when I have the chance to use it. But hopefully I remember enough...

We started with incline bench belly down laterals for 15 reps and 4 sets.

Then we did rope pulls to the forehead for 15 reps supersetted with barbell skims starting at the nose and going over the head and behind the head as a rep, did 15 reps and 4 sets.

Then we did leaning side raises supersetted with 10 dumbell presses standing for 4 sets.

Then we did 15 upright barbell rows with 6 per side alternating front raises for 4 sets.

We did 2 other supersets but I can't for thelife of me remember what they were.

My abs are showing so I hope to be lean by Halloween which is my favorite holiday to play...

edited to add we did a single shrug into a curl into a press as a rep for 15 reps.

Still feeling the exhaustion but the naseau is better. Mainly its a deep depression with where I'm at in life... I'm trying to stay on top of it but everything is so unstable and having no money sucks!
 
Chest day was yesterday and it was a rough one.

We started with 15 dumbell presses with 100 coreboard shakes for 4 sets.

Then we did 15 cable flyes for 4 sets.

Then we did a triple set of 15 pullovers with 50 coreboard mountain climbers and 15 machine press.

Then we did 15 pec deck high handles for 4 sets.

Then we did 15 dumbell flyes with 10 coreboard shakes and 1 push up, then 10 shakes and 2 pushups going to 5 push ups as a single sets...did 4 sets of these!

Hit a few more things and called it a day!

Today will be back day.
 
Back day

Started with wide grip pullups assisted for 15 reps with 15 push ups for 4 sets.

Then did 40lb bent over rows at 15 reps per arm and 4 sets.

Then I did 3 sets of dumbell standing pullthroughs for 15 reps.

Then we did seated rows to the middle chest for 15 reps with 6 reverse grip pulldowns for 4 sets.

Then we did 4 sets of wide grip pulldowns for 15 reps.

Then I did 3 sets of 20 rep shrugs.

Easy quick day!
 
Hey C...how ya doing? I understand the frustration of dealing with injuries. Believe me...Rosie and I have had a hell of a time dealing with my being out of work due to my right knee injury. For me personally...it has been terribly irritating because I look like sh*t now because I can't train properly. I am just focused on rehabbing my knee and getting it to a point where I feel normal again. Regardless, I'll be around from time to time to offer support. :)

Hey Sean! I feel ya on the knee, I hope its getting better and easier to get around on! I'm not to far out of condition. I'm just holding more fat in the warped mindset you get from doing this all the time and living in a competitors world.

I'm going to add in the supps now and get up another level just for the mental push I want! Feel free to come in and yell at me to get moving anytime, we all need it.

Ditto.. I hurt my shoulder a couple years back and although there was not a lot of down time I have never even come close to getting anything like my former power for most upper body lifts. It's so frustrating to feel the power and have injury stop you. It's something I have to deal with growing older and I am very stubborn about it. One more day in the sun is all I ask...
 
I bought my protein powder today to get my protein up. I have also decided in two weeks to begin a competition diet to challenge myself and assure making my Halloween goal.
 
I did train arms Friday but did not get a chance to log my training. We also had to train two friends on Sunday so I got in an extra training day I don't normally do. We did a full body day just to give them some form lessons on the bodyparts they would do alone this week.

Natalie goes to work for MetRx at the O this week so Wed will be the end of my training week.
 
Sundays full body really hurt my training today.

We did legs/shoulders today.

We started with dumbell squats up ito an overhead press for 15 reps and 4 sets.

Then we did 4 sets of zig zag lunges and carried a 45lb plate back.

Then we did 4 sets of upright rows out into an up and back.

Then we did a triple set of 15 extensions with 10 curls and 15 pop squats for 4 sets.

Then we did 3 sets of 20 rep rope pulls.

Then we did 1 sets of 30 shrugs with 30 quarter laterals.

Tuesday is back and bicep day and Wed if I can get the kids off to school in time for her early class is chest/tri. Then she goes to the O and my week will be dne in the gym. Just cardio at home.

Back/Bicep

Started with machine rows for 15 reps with bent over dumbell rows at 15 reps for 4 sets.

Then we did squatted cable rows for 15 reps with 15 burpees up into a bench jump as a rep for 10 reps and 4 sets.

Then we did lateral pulldowns for 15 reps and 4 sets.

Then we did dumbell deadlifts into a supinated curl as a rep for 15 reps and 4sets

Then we did barbell curls for 15 reps with alternating curls thumb over the bar for 10 per arm and 4 sets.

Then we did 15 hammer curls between the legs seated for 15 reps.

I think that was all?

Tomorrow will be my final day if I can swing her early class.

i think i'd be in pieces now a days if i done that kinda volume with weight lol.

Diets been good all day.

Today was leg day

Started with barbell deads for 15 reps x 4 sets.

Then we did single legged lying curls alternating 10 per leg supersetted with side to side lunges on a reebok board in squat position holding a 15lb medicine ball for 15 reps x 4 sets.

Then we did pop squats with the ball off the reebok board at 15 reps x 4sets.

Then we did 2 sets of pump lunges to the end of the gym and to sets of 2 reg lunges with the 3rd being a skip lunge to the end of the gym.

Then we did 3 sets of single leg alternating leg extensions then a double leg ext all as a single rep for 15 reps...these caused major cramping in my tear drop and quads.

I'm looking forward to only 2-3 days in the gym for a week myself - maybe next week, since it's been ~16 weeks since I had a week off (then again, after having the almost 3-month break, not sure I WANT to!) :sigh1: . . . Go the diet - at least YOU can stick to it! Should be fun times for all :drillsergeant:

Dieting definitely isn't easy - well, for those of us that love our food - but the rewards are definitely worth it for those of us that do it right :) I'm going to have to be very strict and keep this pre-competition diet up for another 6 weeks after this one (with a couple of days allowance after the competition for Sean's birthday and our first wedding anniversay) . . .

We did kettlebells first with a side lateral leaning at 15 per side x 4 sets.

Then we did a front raise flipped the bell and grabbed in air up into a press and into a snatch for 15 reps x 4 sets.

Then we did an uright row into a quarter lateral for 15 reps x 4 sets.

Then we did 6 per side of front raises into a press out with 6 up and backs for 4 sets.

Then we did overhead laterals down into a hammer curl and up into a press for 15 reps x 4 sets.

Then we did bent over lateral for 10 reps and 4 sets.

Can't remember the rest because my temper was flaring..

Did cardio this morning and might do more tonight to burn some negative energy off.

I lift really well mad :) But what she was yesterday was unprofessional.

I understand. I respond well to being driven. But not pushed. Push always comes to shove with me. :firedevil:

Let her know in the most courteous way possible, that she got a little out of line. She might have been dealing with outside issues that no one knew about.
Not that it's excusable to act that way. I don't let my problems conflict with the way I treat others.
 
LOL yeah she got mad at two girls who came and were not listening and then one of them argued with her. I'm sure she will be back to normal today. I just think if you have an issue with someone you take it up with them after class rather than take it out on the group. Either way I'm good with it today. Its beautiful and sunny here!

I'm doing my cardio and its chest day.
 
I'm adding in Slin Sane when I have any carbs with my meals. I'm also adding in 11-KT spray as well.

Chest day

it was an easy workout with just Nat and I :) so nice and relaxing!

Started with 4 sets of 15 incline barbell bench.
