I'll be Primed till Xmas (How an old fugger gets down).

One thing I have to say is that I am pretty darned sore... like my son did the first week. I really don't care that much about soreness though but I am not yet experiencing that lack of doms that so many experience. We'll see what happens this week though if all goes according to form it will disappear and my strength should increase.

Today is just a cardio day...

Me too. Cardio only today. It sucks too. :frustrate I am soooo wanting to hit some weights! My eagerness and anticipation to train has increased while taking this PRIME. I feel like I'm in the "mood" to lift heavy ass weights 24/7!! This is measurably elevated from my normal lifting desire. Which is always high!! :woohoo: I've been waiting to experience this "lack of DOMS" that others speak of. I've been going butt-ass crazy on the weights this last whole week. I am sore even up in my rib cage and sh!t. Abs are even sore. It's almost like total body DOMS. I'm assuming this is from straining harder than usual to gut out more reps with more weight. DOMS have set in, big time. I like that though. I'm sick like that. "No pain... no gain". I am impressed with the abilities of PRIME at this juncture. I'm hoping it only gets better as I continue on.

I too have the elevated desire to activity but I plan on a long run so I have to fight the urge a bit so not to burn out.

Subbed!

So finally you couldnt let the bottles alone :)
Wish you a good and primed ride!
Sucks this shoulder trouble of yours.

Yah but, the only way the shoulder really debilitates me is in Chest training which does suck because I will not reach any personal records because of it on the the bench.

I hope your shoulder heals in no time!

Thanks I hope so too. I have really been working hard on the last stage of my rehab it the last week. I really want it to hold up tonight and I am a bit nervous but I am backing off on the weight and just want to get that first chest workout under my belt so I can get my confidence back. I have been doing stretching and pushups twice a day and doing TG's warm up before every workout plus my stretches. I have taken my primal agression and fucussed it on my shoulder recovery...

Tonights a big night... chest and the shoulder will be tested the idea is just to get through this one and build from there...

Well just like my son my doms during the first week is more intense than I can ever remember after doing similar lifting. I don't care mind you but it is interesting and I am glad that I am experiencing the same symptoms if I respond like him I will be a very, very happy man and I really feel something 24-7 on Prime.
That held true for me as well. Not just DOMS in my muscles, but I was sore down to my FRAME. I literally felt like my frame got stretched out. I'll have to go back and look over my notes, but I think DOMS finally started diminishing greatly around the 4 week mark for me.

Kris was only really sore for the first week.

Ok, well like I said it's interesting but doesn't bother me one way or the other.

ok update time

Well I have to admit I was nervous about this one I didn't want my shoulder blowing up again so I backed off on the weight to 225 for 6. When I was doing my warmups I noticed that the second or 3rd rep was quite a bit more painfull, I ananlysed that I was doing and sure enough I found the answer, I was rotating back a bit with my left wrist. I made the adjustment and the rest was easy I got through unscathed. This was after extensive stretching and TG's warmup exercises. I am very relieved and will progress slowly from here adjusting my technique.

I changed from squats to single leg press, when my shoulder is off like this it's quite painfull to hold the bar during squats, the rest or the workout went very well. I am a little frustrated that my shoulder is holding me back but I am happy about not being sidelined and this I vow, my shoulder will be in much better shape come next week.

Still feeling tight and rock like, today is cardio and tommorow back and shoulders. It's going to get nasty... I don't have to worry too much about the shoulder work as it was designed to be rehabilitive in nature. It uses light weights and supersets so I can get really intense by using perfect form.

Good luck with that shoulder, man. Hope it's feeling a lot better next week.

Thanks, it was feeling pretty good yesterday and this morning very little pain with the pushups I will increase them this weekend. This is the time I have to fight back and strengthen it so it can hold up.

Cardio yesterday... it went well. Today is back and shoulders I will be attacking...

IIRC, it was about 2 weeks for me, followed by a week where DOMS was about normal, and very little DOMS since.
I'm at 2 weeks right now and DOMS are fianlly easing up. They were wicked for the first week. But I am trying to train like a maddened beast lately!! I felt sore down to the frame like you mentioned shaddow. Like I taxed everything I was lifting so hard. My ribs even hurt that first week. I love the pain!! It has always been my closest companion. It never leaves me nor forsakes me!

Truth be know I like pain too (not injury pain), soreness makes me feel big and tight though. I have sort of a reputation for pushing beyond normal limits and being crazy. Injury has curbed that somewhat and I've had to train smarter... you know what though I am getting just as good results as I ever did. Even when I am completely healthy I will be planning short intensive workouts of max 40 minutes.

Big news from Marshall my ex-trainer who I am following along with he is doing a high rep circuit and went up 20 lbs the first week but he started pretty low so he did not know whether to attribute it to the prime, I talked to him a day and he went up another 20 lbs on the bench he did have to back off on the last set but he expects to do some personal records tommorow. This is a guy who has been doing this for 35 years, is world class and a wealth of knowledge. He's 52 or 53 so personal records don't come easy...

You mentioned he started low. Was he taking time off training ? Looking forward to seeing his long-term results.

He was like me recovering from a shoulder injury and just starting benching again in June. He had not done any high rep work in a while so he decided to start low. He did say that without Prime that he would not have been able to make the second 20 lb jump.

Went to war last night, and it was pretty good. I went up 15 lbs on pulldowns and reverse pulldowns and up 20 lbs on reverse grip bent over rows. I definitely felt some strength increase and extra aggression but it could have been easier and I hope that I feel more strength increase next week. (week 3)

On shoulders I increased every exercise in my giant set by 5 lbs which is even more difficult than going up 20 on the bent over rows. I was sucking air but completed my routine, which in pretty impressive.

I was really exhausted after my workout and it took a good hour for my after workout buzz to come but when it did I felt pumped hard and energetic and despite being very tired musclularly I was mentally ready to go back to the gym. I didn't of course but I felt good.

I am definitely leaner, (lost about 2 pounds of fat in 2 weeks) but I was not that surprised that I was a little heavier at 237.8 lbs, this seems to be a trend with this recomp I have been on.

So far I have been really liking Prime but it must continue to show improved positive attributes for me to love it. I am looking for big things next week and will be a little disappointed if I don't see some more improvement in the strength department. So far it has done what it said it would so I have no reason to doubt that it will continue to deliver and I seem to repond well, so I am hoping...

Tonight is Hams, Calves and arms with some core work I will be making significant increases from last week. I figure 10 lbs on the extensions (big jump on this exercise) and 5 lbs on the preachers and drops as it was pretty difficult last week with the drops so any increase would be very positive.

Well it started out with no real surprises I hit my increasing experiencing some difficulty on leg curls.

My shoulder made it difficult for the 10 lb increase on tri extensions but this is a major increase for this exercise and I am pleased to report I got my reps. My last set was 10 lbs lighter for higher reps and it was easy I did 10 reps and was doing that for six the previous week. I didn't pay it much mind.
I went to the close grip and increased by 20 lbs but I did start out light, I was still surprised that I could do 15 reps instead of my scheduled 12. I was pleased but not too shocked.

Time for preachers I only went up by 5 lbs cuz I am doing a drop set and it was pretty tight last week at 100 lbs. I am a technician so I demamd perfect form so I don't use so much weight that it breaks my form, 90% of people I see on preachers are only doing the upper half of the exercise and they are not doing anything. Anyway I digress. My first set felt really heavy I actually considered dropping back. I didn't though and my second set although challenging was glorius!! I mean I was sitting at the end of the second drop saying where the helll did that come from!! In 20 years I have never experienced anything quite like it, it was like an extra gear. I have increased my strength before but never had it sneak up on my like that. I moved to the 3rd set and crushed it!! Now I'm getting really excited.. I did my 4th set with 100 lbs and higher reps I only got 5 on the drop but got all 8 on the first half. I was spend but very happy.

Prime just got a promotion it is now the best herbal product I have ever used. I was so pumped I could only bend my arm half way. I am looking leaner and bigger and feell fantastic. So far it has done everything it said it would. Next week is week 3 I can hardly wait.

I was really spent on the weekend but I did my Saturday workout on Friday night so I only had cardio. I did a lot of work on my shoulder getting it ready for tommorow night. I feel rested and ready to go.

I really see myself leaning out on this, I am actually the same weight but definitely leaner. This weeks weigh in is going to be interesting.

Great update can't wait for more!

The shoulder is feeling a little better and I've been trying to get it ready for tonight, I think I will still need to be cautious though. I wish that wasn't so but I don't need to be going back to square 1. I will go up a little and if it feels good maybe I'll make another increase on the second set. This is going to be all about rehap tonight.

Well, I was debating on what to do after my second bottle runs our (I am about midway through). I am happy with what Prime has given me so I decided to run one more bottle at which should finish up around 12/10. I will probably stay natural with no additions before I start my next PH cycle.

Great updates on Prime and I hope your shoulder holds up!

Thanks and yes the shoulder held up, I went up 10 lbs on the bench like I planned but decided that would be it as a matter of fact I missed the last rep on my second set due to caution. Damn I hate that work..lol

I went up on all my other chest exercises but had to use extreme care on incline flies. I could have gone heavier on decline db press though and will have no qualms about bumping it up next week. I think that I will go all dumbells my next workout it seems to be easier on the shoulder and I may get a better chest workout.

Legs were really good, I went up 20 lbs on the single leg press, which is a monstrous jump for this exercise. I alternate legs and go non-stop so it's hard to increase. I was really feeling the extra gear though. Up 20 on the single leg extensions as well, I had crazy strength on these.

Cardio today and back and shoulders tommorow. I will go up on the back exercises but not on he giant set for shoulders I am just going to perfect my form with a possible increase next week which would be a personal record on a routine like this.

Wow i feel like rock around the clock...

Yesterday I just had cardio... today back and shoulders. I will be attacking for sure. I feel like leaving work and going right now lol

I can comment about the alpha male aggression I feel it's not like I am going to fly off the handle, I feel quite calm actually. I would definitely not take any shite either. So I have all the benefits of the animal rage, except it seems easy to control.

Great log DW. Glad to see that Prime seems to be doing your family some good. Lean mass up, bodyfat down, strength up, sounds to good to be true. I may just break my no USP Labs streak and check it out. Keep pushin' but not too hard, easy on that shoulder.

Thanks for stopping buy, yah Prime seems to be the real deal, I am responding well but I just got a PM from someone who is responding much better than me.

Well last night started a bit rough, I tried to go up on wide lat pulldowns but the increment on the machine is 15 lbs and I went up 15 lbs last week, so I didn't get my reps. I know my shoulder has something to do with this as well. I did very well on reverse pulldowns but did not increase but the strength and form was good. To this point I was a little disspointed.

Then I went to reverse grip bent over rows... I added 10 lbs from last week and after the warmup, I had my doubts. I had gone up 20 lbs the previous week and had some difficulty with form. Well not this week my form was immaculate and the weight went up very nicely, I probably could haved added even more but this is a significant improvement so I just left well enough alone.

I kept the same weight on the shoulder Giant set, this routine is as grueling as it gets and almost impossible to move up on, I focused on form and intensity, and it was a real battle. The first 2 sets were crushed and it really took a toll. I was really winded as the rest between cycles was less than 2 minutes. I could not catch my breath for my third set but I did it anyaway not as good as the first 2 as I was really sucking wind. Boy was I exhausted. I am very satisfied with the overall effort and may go up 2.5 lbs next week.

I am looking much leaner every day and i weighed in this morning thinking I must have lost weight, no sir I gained. I was 338.4 which is almost a 1b up when it appears I have lost 3 to 4 lbs of body fat. Just what I wanted. If it wasn't for Recreate I would have plateaued months ago and now with Prime I continue to recomp very well.

Talked to Marshall, he is doing very well and likes prime quite a bit he has been increasing steadily and is up a couple lbs, he says he's hungry all the time as well. One observation we were making is that we seem to be stronger on the 2nd and thrid set than the first. It's strange buy may times I have done my first set and it feels really heavy only to crush my second, third even fourth set.

What a great workout, every lift was up in weight with textbook perfect from. Of particular note was the arm routines.

I went up 5 lbs on decline tri extensions and I did a extra warmup set to try and see if it would improve performance on the first set and it seemed to do just that. I crushed 2 sets then only dropped 5 lbs for the third at higher reps, I was planning on dropping 10 but I felt so strong and the shoulder was holding up very well. I crushed it.

I was feeling pretty good about myself so I went up another 20 lbs on the close grip bench. I crushed that for 12 reps and supersetted with close grip pushups I was flying high. I was setting a very brisk pace the intensity was electric.

On to preachers and drop sets added another 5 lbs and did my extra warmup set and it went up very well on the first set and I was really hitting the form right on the money. Second set same as the first I am going out of my way to go very low on my negatives almost locked right out, the pain of the pull is exquisite. I banged out a third and missed one rep on the drop and lowered the weight and completed a higher rep set with another drop. My 3rd and forth sets my arms were so pumped I felt like my muscles were going to rip through my skin, never have I felt this tight.

Every time I look in the mirror I seem leaner, bigger and harder. I'm afraid Prime gets another promotion, now after 3 weeks of Prime I would have to give it the edge over 3 weeks on Halodrol, keeping in mind that the fourth week on Halodrol is the best week. If Prime continues to improve then my experience will be greater, if it stays about the same we'll call it a draw.

Well I finally got 315x8 today on Deadlifts, but my body feels like a truck ran over me, taking the day off tomorrow. I've noticed a slight increase in exercise volume, however my weight isn't budging :(

I wish I was responding as well to PRIME as you can your son.

Yes there is definitely different levels of response, keep an eye on the mirror though just because the scale doesn't move doesn't mean you are not seeing progress. You may have leaned out some and stayed the same weight. For me the scale has me up over 1 lb in 3 weeks but I can see I have lost quite a bit of fat.

Good post. I agree. I use the mirror over the scale. Much more accurate for me. I'm not concerned so much with adding a few lbs. of bodyweight at this stage. I'm concerned more with refining what mass I already have and shape everything up better. Bring up weak areas and things like that. I only weigh every few weeks. But in the mirror is where I'm seeing the results. I'm much leaner, more dense looking, hard and vascular. Loving it!! :head:

I definitely agree with going by the mirror, usually my first advice to others. I am weighing in just to keep the log updated with hard #'s, and I did before pictures. I am giving it time , since I am only on Day 16 out of 37 days.

Chest and quads last night not my favourite workout because of my shoulder. I went back up on bench to try 255 again got 5 reps and decided not to push it, I didn't like how my shoulder felt so I took off 20 lbs and concentrated on form. It's frustrating but I am not going risk it. There is no such thing as a puzzy when your dealing with injury.

I went up on incline flies to 65's and I had to be cautious but the weight was no problem. I increased my decline db press by 10 lbs and did very well, these don't seem to bother my shoulder much which really has me thinking all dumbells for my next chest routine.

I went up another 10 lbs on single leg press, this is quite impressive as it felt better than last week. I will have no problem going up another 10 next week. Up 30 lbs total now on this exercise in 3 weeks. Same story with the single leg extensions. I will have a hard time increasing those next week though as it's 15 lb increments and it was very tough this week.

It would have to be looked at as a very successful workout but this routine does not test me like my others as I have to use too much caution due to my injury. A big test will be tommorow see how the bent over rows go with another 10 lb increase. They were pretty smooth last week.

Continue to feel harder and look leaner, it's so easy to feel pumped when on Prime (for me), all I have to do is drop and do 10 pushups and I feel pumped.

Back and shoulders,

I got to tell you I was looking forward to this one all day yesterday. I started off trying to go up 15 on the wide lat pulldowns and this time I was successful on the first set however I did not like my form on the last rep so I went back down and finished using really nice form, much improved from last week. Reverse pulldowns I went up 15 as my shoulder is not as much invovled I was able to maintain the increase and bang out some really nice sets.

Now to the much anticipated bent over rows I went up another 10 lbs and the first set was jerky I am usually very smooth but with the added weight I was moving more than just my arms (I am a technician remember). I did not let this shake me however I did my second set with good form right up till the last rep which was a bit short I will only be going up 5 lbs next week I guess. I am quite pleased though, I am in my 4th week and almost able to handle another 10 lb increase after going up 30 lbs, I guess I can't *****. The third set went well lighter and higher reps.

Call my crazy but I decided to push up all the weights on my GIANT set it was tough but I made it through all 3 cycles and just flopped down on a bench as I felt like by lungs were going to explode. I think I only missed on or two reps on eight 4 exercises with a drop. Quite impressive, and I have never done this much weight on a GIANT set so I guess this is a PR.

The workout was great but the real impressive thing is my apparent size increase, I am looking freaking huge, seeing new definition and size everywhere. I weighed in this morning thinking I must be up another pound but I was actually down to 236. That's ok it's pretty meaningless and if I lost weight then it's only fat. I am on recomp so that is my main goal but it looks like I lost more then a couple lbs more like 6 or 7 and I look much bigger... lumpy actually.

I am really feeling the strain of working so hard, my inetensity is so high when I'm in the gym that I just kick the crap out of myself and pay for it later. I don't care that much about pain, I kind of like it. I just want to make it clear that this does take a toll. I will rest hard after I play hard.

That's great this is working so well for you. It's funny how you mention the intensity in the gym and paying for it later. In the giand ad for Prime they talk about working out too much and crushing your CNS and blah. I thought that was a bunch of hooey at first.

Keep up the intensity DW! I'm one of the few guys at my gym that will be lying down on a bench, way out of breath between sets because I push myself that hard. I think I've turned into a bit of a grunter, but mostly on compound lifts when I'm giving it 110%.

I've been asked at 3 different gyms to curb my enthusiasm, some people just don't understand... I have learned to keep it lower now.

Yah I could see this happening if I trained more frequently as some do but I am adamant about getting my rest. The intensity on Prime is unreal and your making gains across the board... every workout every exercise. This is going to have some payback.

Let me start this post by restating I feel like Stone! Yah I'm sore I have been training my ass off, of course I am sore. I am rock hard and leaning out nicely, on less activity. Yah I usually do some long walks on the weekend but have taken the time to get some much needed extra rest. I have increased my caloric intake slightly to around 3200 as I feel I need it. I still seem to get leaner however. I am looking pretty huge as well.

Saturday was Hamstring calves and arms. I was up on single hamstring curls 15 lbs but could not maintain it all the way through I got my first set but had to reduce an the second. This is normal as it's hard to go up 15 lbs on a single leg exercise. Damn stack increments...

Calves were could up 5 lbs. Not a surprise.

I went up another 5 on tricep extenstion which is significant both the first 2 sets were very strong with good form but missed a rep on the second set. I then did my close grips and went up another 10 lbs! and cranked out 10 reps this is 50 up from where I started. I did start low but this is high reps.

On to straight bar preachers 115 for 6 drop to 105 yah up another 5 lbs. The first set was good on the 115 but the drop was tough but I made it. The second set was grueling and I missed to sets on my drop, I was thinking maybe I should drop the weight but I thought maybe just drop to 100 instead of 105 as 10 lbs is a small drop. Well I crushed it on the next set and probably didn't need to drop it, it was much stronger than the 2nd where did that come from.. I don't know. I then set up for 105 at 8 with a drop to 95, I was so pumped my arms felt like they were going to rip through the skin. I only got 5 reps on both the set and the drop. I was spent no doubt. Next week I will go up to 120 but my drops will be 15 lbs instead of 10, as I get up more in weight it gets harder to do just a 10 lb drop.

I have been exhausted for the rest of the weekend and really took it easy. Just cardio tonight and I'm glad of it.

So I have finished 4 weeks and will do a comparison to what I experienced on Halodrol in 4 weeks.

Strength increase - I am going to give the edge to Prime as strength increases started earlier on Prime and were steady. Halodrol did kick in nice in week 3 and 4 but overall I think I increased more on Prime overall.

Recovery - I will give the edge to Halodrol on this, I am more spent when I am on Prime and more sore.

Pump - Not close Prime wins I feel rock hard 24-7

Recomp effect - Prime edges out Halodrol as I tend to lean out well.

Muscle gain I will say it's a draw Halodrol changes were more sudden and but Prime had good overall changes.

Intensity - I love the way prime gives you a controlled agression.

Now I get to stay on Prime for another 5 weeks instead of PCT. I will need to be carefull of not destroying myself though.

You lucky dog. Another 5 weeks??!! Hel yeah. I am down to my last 6 days now. I'm feeling a little sad to see it end. PRIME has pleasantly surprised me to say the least. I even get pumped doing fukkin' cardio!! WTF??!! I am shocked to see the changes it is bringing about in my physique. Much harder and defined. Lots more vascularity. And my muscles are changing in shape. Much rounder and fuller muscle bellies. I have been working on bringing up lagging bodyparts (delts and quads for me) and it is working nicely. I'm about to give an update on my thread as well. Nice update DW!! And I have to agree with you. I have done 2 Halo-Drol cycles in the past, and PRIME really does kick it in the balls. I am glad you said it first though. ha ha I am wondering if people are having a hard time believing that PRIME is as good as some of us are saying it is? I am 100% convinced that USP Labs PRIME is the very best non-hormonal product that I have EVER taken!! :head:

Right on and I was honest about the comparison. I took a good look at each aspect. I don't care if people believe me or not, I just give my results and well if you don't believe me you can refer to my caption below.

I am a believer. Saturday I maxed out squats and was able to hit 405 x 5 reps. My previous max was 365lbs 3 weeks ago. I also get the pump with minimal intensity. Also a co-worked started Prime 2 weeks ago. 3 weeks ago he struggled with 205 on bench. Saturday he maxed out at 225 x 1.

I think your going to have a nice ride the early symptoms really seem to indicate what is to come. Some that don't get them do still get good results but those that do all seem to attain great results, so you have a lot to be excited about.
