This will be my last update for a few weeks....My wife had to be medevac to Vancouver so i will not be training until she pulls through. To my sponsors, i'm sorry and i promise to get back to logging as soon as she pulls through.
Hope to be back on here soon with good news!
Jason
My wife is out of the hospital and we are heading home tomorrow. I plan to spend the rest of the week getting her comfortable and then head back to the gym on monday. Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers! AI, i still owe you one hell of log so i'll get that up and running starting monday. It's still going to be a long haul for us but at least she's out of the hospital and ready to fight disease at home with friends and family!

Thanks everyone! It is time to head back to the gym so that i can start dealing with my stress and start looking after myself a little better. My wife is still going to need my help but she is well enough to let me have an hour to keep my sanity. It is going to be real long haul for her complete recovery both physically and mentally so i need to start looking after myself so i'm able to help her recover.
Just got back from some anger therapy in the gym....Felt great but strength definitely wasn't there! My wife suggested that it was time to start looking after my self so back to the gym i went. I only leave her for a short period of time but it was good to finally start dealing with my stress in a positive way.

My goals are to regain my lost mass, while trying to stay a touch leaner, smash some numbers and hopefully get them on camera so i can post it here like i used to! I will also give a review of how i'm feeling on this stack each day! IE: strength, endurance, mood, pumps, energy, and overall review.
Chest / Biceps
Incline Barbell Presses 135x10 / 185x10 / 235x80 / 255x6 ( Strength sucked but i knew this was where i'd notice the biggest drop in strength)
Flat Dumbbell Presses 80x10 / 90x10 / 80x8
Dips BWx10 / BWx10 / BWx10 / BWx10
Thumbs Up Reverse Grip Barbell Curls 80x10 / 90x10 / 100x10
Dumbbell Curls 35x10 / 40x10 / 45x8 / 30x12
Strength: 7/10 - Wasn't really expecting much today though due to it being the first week back
Stamina 8/10 - Got through the workout quite well today.
Pumps 9/10 - The effects of maniac started off really slow but by the second exercise i was feeling full and vascular! The pump for my biceps was absolutely incredible today!
Energy: 9/10 - I've felt great all day today just as i did last month on the swole stack. The biggest thing i noticed was how focused i was in the gym after taking maniac. There was no signifigant drop in energy after workout which really impressed me
Mood: 8/10 - Felt pretty good but still having to deal with stress so it's not as good as it could be, but definitely got fired up to smash it at the gym!
Overall: It was a great day in the gym just because it's so nice to be back in there giving it my all. I know i've lost some strength but i know i'll have it back in no time! First impression of Maniac is that it seems to work well and it tastes pretty good to boot.
The real effects of the swole stack will be noticed in a few days so expect more interesting reviews to come.
Sounds good bro. I am sure in no time we will be seeing the jaw dropping numbers again.![]()
Shoulders / Triceps
Barbell Military Presses 135x12 / 165x10 / 185x8 / 205x6
Standing Cable Rear Laterals 35x10 / 45x10 / 55x10
Dumbbell Laterals (FST-5) 35x10 / 30x10 / 25x10 / 20x10 / 15x10
Close Grip Bench Presses 185x8 / 205x8 / 225x6
Cable Pressdowns (FST-5) 205x10 / 175x10 / 145x10 / 115x10 / 85x10
Strength: Was quite happy with my strength today as i haven't lost a ton of strength on shoulders or triceps.
Stamina: Was quite good today actually, but i got a little tired near the end of the workout as i'm still getting back into the groove.
Pumps: The pumps were absolutely awesome today! Both my shoulders and triceps fill up like balloons today.
Energy: My energy in the gym today was very high. Went into each set wanting push it harder and harder.
Mood: My mood has been great today and my focus on the weights when i hit the gym today was intense. Really trying to channel my fustrations out on the weights as it seems to help me deal with stress quite well.
*will save ratings for each until the middle of the cycle and the end
Overall: I thought todays workout was a good step in the right direction for me. Really enjoying the pumps from Maniac! Can't wait to get into a rhythm so i can see whether i can blast past some numbers.
Man I don't get any lactic acid burns anymore. I guess so many years of stripsets my body is really good at clearing it out. I just reach the point the the muscle no longer complies with my efforts to move the weight. No real burn anymore it is weird because I kind of miss it now. I know weird eh...
I guess i'm the only one in here who still gets that burn....Lucky Me, LOL! Kleen you were definitely right about recovered i feel. My joints don't hurt and the aches and pains seem to be completely gone. It's actually the best i've felt in a long time, except the mental side as there is still so much going on. The gym has become a place of refuge to release stress!
That's the place for that!! In todays society of political correctness and cordial behaviour, the alpha male is somewhat out of place. The gym is our refuge our place of solace where we can recapture our feeling of dominance. Domination is a natural instinct and this is one of the few places society permits us to sooth our angst!!
Yes and this is why I would love to find a hard core spot around here. That or get lucky and find more weights for my garage gym cheap on Craigslist it is about to woarm up to where it is fun in there...

Man, I feel real lucky right now! I've got a gym that has a hardcore group of people, tons of weight, and great equipment.
Always nice to find a hardcore gym!!!
Santuary!! Sang-tu-ary!!
Chest / Biceps
Incline Dumbbell Presses 80x10 / 100x8 / 120x6 w/ dropset 60x12
Flat Barbell Presses 135x10 / 185x10 / 235x7 (Strength was not great on this at all)
Pec Deck (FST-5) 285x10 / 255x10 / 225x10 / 195x10 / 165x10
Barbell Curls 70x10 / 90x10 / 110x7 w/ dropset 50x12
Rope Hammer Curls (FST-5) 120x10 / 105x10 / 90x10 / 75x10 / 60x10
Strength: My strength is definitely coming back but my stabilizers are definitely holding me back. Way to wobbly!
Stamina: It was a great workout stamina wise!
Pump: My chest pump was not that great yesterday, but my biceps pump was absolutely incredible and painful!:head:
Energy: The Maniac worked amazing yesterday for helping me get up and running after a long stressful day. I was mentally beat but it seemed to keep me going!
Mood: My mood was absolutely great considering i spent the day in the hospital and worked at night. I've actually felt fairly calm except for a few minor flareups of anger with stupid people.
Overall: I had a good workout yesterday, it relieved some stress and my strength is slowly coming back.
