A ban and a recall are 2 different things.

FDA cornered them into recall. It was recall or legal consequences basically. So not far from a ban by any means

Holy Fck man... you got the inside scoop?

Is this slippery slope theory, or do you have facts that they were forced?

Just like when someone in the presidents office "resigns" we all still know behind the scenes he was fired

I think you might need something actually a tad more concrete to support your claim

****.. i would like to see this industry have some regulations.... some testing requirements or some ****. I never see a chem assay on all these herbals making their way into the market... mercury and God knows what can be at any level because of the completely unregulated face of this industry.

Testing regulations does not lead to ban. We all know what leads to a ban. Testing regulations leads to safer product. Testing regulations will not speed up any ban on OTC orals... they are already bullseyed, nothing in this world will save a ban on OTC orals, it's just a matter of when.

Apparently stating it's a liver damage issue. Even stating 1 person died due to liver failure on this.

I would like to see what other factors were involved in these liver damage cases, like did the people drink, history of health problems in their family etc...

I'm looking at this the same way i look at "steroid deaths" b/c autopsies of the people that supposedly die of steroid usage usually find other **** in their system like amphetamines, anti-depressants and even narcotics.

So to say the least I'm skeptical but still interested.

then carry better fat burners/different fat burners

DCP comes to mind and a few others
Funny.. Like carrying better burners will just bring the ppl in on my word that they're better.. Hydroxycut was heavily advertised, so plain n simple they were #1 for that fact alone and until some other company picks up on the commercialism, nothing will be as popular.. My guess is Xenedrine will be the next big commercial product.

It says why in the first post....and you should all be concerned with yet another precedent being set.

Unless there is a concrete tie-in between the formula or certain ingredients (HCA?????yeah, right) and the negative reactions, maybe Creatine will be next for the same "reason".

This is a new step in the war on supplements, don't fool yourself. Whether or not you like MT is irrelevant.

I am not a fan of MT but this is dumb... All you hear about on the news was liver issues. They could have Bern taking hydroxycut and drinking or predisposed to liver problems or taking something else. It might have been the hydroxycut. It goes back to all these orals and kids having problems bc they take them and cont to drink or go on them months or take an obscene amount and then end up with systemic issues. I agree there should be quality control in supp business but people should do some research and get educated before they start taking stuff. Just funny it was Muscle Tech of all companies LOL. Guess there is no way Dexter can get in shape for the O. Jays in trouble too!!! LOL!!!

As I recall the 'victims' of liver damage were all young, including the one that died. When a young person is put on the spot by their parents most will take the path of least resistance, ie lie, "no i wasnt drinking or doing drugs, but i was taking _____" or the parents could search their rooms but only end up finding the supplements they were taking.
And if a young person dies the parents will almost always look for someone or something to blame, its a coping mechanism.
And if these parents are people in powerful positions it would be easy for them to make a stink and start a fire under the FDA (which I personally feel is extremely corrupt).

Also, who honestly tests new supplements/herbs, etc to see how it interacts with alcohol.

I believe you are 100% right. It's just another way for the government to have some kind of control over our lives.

Man... alot of fear mongering going on. This is playing strait into the slippery slope theory. If that was the case, Alcohol and Tobacco would have been gone A LONG time ago. I think people are just making WAY to big of a deal about this. Just like the Swine Flu... overblown like no other.

I gotta say I agree with this ban.

I took the recommended dose of Hydroxycut Hardcore Gelcaps and I felt like utter sh1t for several hours.

Like borderline checking into the ER it was that bad.

I had fever, chills, nausea, the shakes - something in that sh1t is not good for some people.

Never had an issue with any other stim.
