idc if people think im a d-bag for wearing a beater. i like seeing my progress and it helps keep my motivation in the gym.
 
People can wear whatever they want. But I do think that they should be at least in decent physical shape in order to wear a wife beater to the gym.

Seeing a fat, pasty, sweaty man in a wife beater is no different than seeing a really fat, short woman wearing butt shorts. It's just wrong.
 
I have no issues with what other people wear, as long as they wear SOMETHING...

No shirts is just gross to me, but hey.. i workout in a basement now... i can run on my treadmill w/o a shirt. I still won't, I wear a Beater cause i bought some a while back, and never used them for anything but chill and play video games clothes so why waste em?

If im at a real gym i have Wind Pants, or shorts, and It might just be me but i like t-shirts. To me may arms fit better in a T then anything else.

I say if your in a gym Zone Out and Workout, if you wanna people watch hit the park, or a Beach... or a Victoria's Secret changing room...
 
Anyone heard of the tshirts you get that soak your sweat up and keep you nice and cool or something like that. Some guy at the gym wears one of them. He looks total gay, plus you can see his puffy nipples through it too :lol:
 
here in australia around the summer nearly everyone wears a wife beater or a singlet to the gym

on the latter year teenage guys who come to pose around and be cool with their mates ...well they look like tossers

but the guys who are mid 20s upwards who come in for the workout etc they dont stand out or look weird

all depends

however today there was a dude... not massive but had good chest/shoulder/back/arm proportions, a decent size and good definition and was in those big "golds gym" (i think it did actually say golds gym on it) singlets with the wide cut but at his body he could wear it so who cares
 
I usually don't give a f what I wear or what other people there, but at the gym at school, this doucher was wearing a skin tight(looked like it was painted on) under armer shirt. He's got a little size but all I ever see him doing is chest and arms, looks like a little punk to me.

he must wear a skin tight one on purpose. I have a Russel one, they are ok. I do notice the difference but its not worth it. It feels very very dry and sometimes scratchy. Havent wore it in a few months.

I wear tapout t-shirts to the gym...but mine are a few years old and they were free...it's the new tapout shirts that they sell at champs that yes those ppl are gay,but not as gay as people wearing under armor

it is also extremly gay to wear beaters and tank tops to the gym, unless you like hair metal music and your stuck in the 80's, beaters are worse than tank tops though, not because ppl that wear them think they're jacked, it's just disgusting seeing other guys in that small amount of clothing, not my style, just go to the salvation army or get free t-shirts and wear them to the gym, they do just as good

LOL I wear beaters to the gym. For myself, not for other peeps. Helps motivate me. Don't see how that's extremely gay but different strokes for different folks. Oh yeah, and I do listen to the occasional twisted sister or quiet riot uh oh I must be stuck in tha 80s!!! I need a time machine for christmas.
 
Beaters never go out of style but the pec floss some of these guys wear are ridiculous. Nipples all showing... those shirts should be banned.

haha... the american guido? I was in the states in 07 and heard about that... we've got it here in australia with a slightly different spin to it... call them 'wogs' or 'muzzas' for the full metrosexuals who love the fancy hair cuts and tank tops to the gym even tho theyre 150lbs

personally i think it all depends on the guy. You know when some douche is wearing a tank to get attention and intimidate and you know when someone just feels more comfortable working out in that. so i take it on a case by case basis lol
 
I died out of laughter last night at the gym!

Guy was wearing a long-sleeved "clubbing shirt", it had thin, see-through stripes AND he had it un-buttoned to his belly-button!

AND he had on his snake-skin shoes and khakis.

All of this while doing his shoulder workout . . . I got so turned on I had to hit the cold shower.

Is that gay?
 
The video has me dyin! That $hit has South Jersey written all over it. "Dis is gunna be on myspace"!..."we're gunna putit up on myspace"! Guarantee you those guys are/were in the Mortgage business!! LMAO!
 
Had one dude (teenager, 5'9 / 160...scrawny as all get out)....he works out....has regular attire on.....goes in the dressing room, then comes out with no shirt on and hit the assisted pullup machine for a set of 10 before he exits to show off.....i was like WTF??

What are people actually thinking when they do something like this. I was embarrassed for him.

My armpits chafe on back days if I dont wear a tank. I hate the skin tight shirt and airplane pants look. Makes me want to punch babies.
