Going to be a swole recovery.... with Lean Gains

Right, no frustration I am elated with what the mirror was saying.. the first week where I lost 5 lbs I looked to lose around 1.5% body fat now after 3.5 weeks I appear to be down a grand total of about 2.5% and I am on a recomp...

At first everything happened very fast, now I am in a very solid recomp and eating the way I want. All indications are that when I make that first small adjustment I will be able to ride it for quite a while. In the meantime I continue to get a little leaner. Just have to not blow it when on holidays, I'm pretty prepared to what I need to do though.

When it comes to the holidays just fast till it's time for the big meals then GORGE!! lol. Yeah caloric intake will be higher those days but you may be able to counteract that with lower calorie days surrounding the feast days and proper light cardio to allow for maximal fat burning.

Either way...by then you may be so lean it really wont matter if you gain a quick lb or 2 cause you burn that off quickly once your back on your "A" game post holidays

I'm getting ready to head out on a cruise. Last 2 cruises I lost weight from extra exercise/walking/etc, so I think I might drop the Lean Gains for the week and enjoy bountiful food all day.

Doing EPI-V/PCT Black run... very mild but will help maintain muscle while I cut. I won't have to lose a ton of weight either so I should be much more successful with all the time I have.

You will actually probably ADD muscle while you cut. For like a 2 week period I lost a noticably ammount of fat (probably my best 2 weeks ever!) and the scale did not move! This was in a calorie deficit and while doing fasted cardio. The EPI-V is pretty bada$$.

All I can say is that I had incredible results with it and everyone I have ever known who has tried it (in order to cut fat, not bulk mind you) has absolutely loved it!

Strength is still improving in smaller increments. Definitely still an aggressive recomp. I took a play out of your book last night Doug and had a pound of beef for dinner! WooHoo! Definitely seeing some strength increases this week that appear to be from the progestin but we shall see as the week progresses. Oh she should warm up to it, it is very warm there. I think getting out of Canada in the winter would be a very appealing idea. Although not a cheap one.

Like I said in my PM I'll get back to you about how popular the Musclemania Dixie is, and would love for you to come down and get to meet you in person and hang out with you and cheer you on stage, etc. I just think you would have more fun and a bigger show in Vegas, but if you do decide to come down for the Musclemania Dixie, I will be sure to introduce you to the owners of FINAFLEX, give you the tour of our facilities, hang out and of course we'll all come out to the show and cheer you on, your call Big-Guy!

I was 215 and I am 208 right now but looks like I lost more like 10 lbs, lean gains is amazing...

Crisp workout last night, day 3 is the same as day 1 with less sets higher reps so I decided to pick up the pace...

I finished with a complete weighted ab workout that started with bar of death, I hit the floor face first a couple times but I still managed to roll back up... I never thought of doing this, usually when I do a belly flop on the floor I just say that's a failure and stop but with this exercise you can still keep going... needless to say I trashed my fuggin abs..

Weighed in at 208 so I was right I am down 2 lbs from last week. So week 1 down 5 lbs week 2 down 1 pound week 3 up 1 pound and week 4 down 2 lbs so it really has stabalized a bit cuz over the last 3 weeks I am down just 2 lbs... this is the right pace for me right now...
 
Man that sounds awesome! I just did my first weeks review of that progestin in my log and I am really having some great recomp.

Yah the recomp is good for me too, I actually added about a pound of muscle during those 3 weeks so I am probably burinig about a pound of fat a week right now...

Workout yesterday was tough, I am up to about 95% and now that I am under 210 I find it was a bit of a struggle.. also my shoulder was sore..

On bench I missed a couple reps due to my sore shoulder....

Front squats went ok...

Tbar rows are always good but the weight did feel heavy...

Push press I missed a couple reps again...

Wheel of death went well I did 8 and 4...I really punished myself

I am losing more weight I feel, you can tell, cuz I have more loose skin and it will take some time to tighten up again. I am now definitely leaner that at contest time last year. I am thinking I will be down another pound or 2 this week.. It's hard to imagine being able to eat like this and lose weight...

Thanks, yah the thing about lean gains is you don't have to starve yourself to lose weight .. oh and those pics were taken 16 hours fasted!! I am about 18 hours now will break my fast soon...
