BB straight bar curls 90lbs: 14/14/14

Circuit 2:
Roman Chair leg lifts, lowering 3 sec.: 19/16/14
Decline crunches max height, hands behind head: 16/ 13/8
BB straight bar reverse grip curls 70lbs: 18/16/16

Circuit 3

BB close grip bench press, tut 4.1.1, 135lbs: 19/17/15
Lat pull down wide: 235lbs: 11/10/9

Circuit 4

Just to share some thoughts with older dudes:
As we age, we lose confidence. Mainly confidence in our ability to deal with the ground we stand on. You know what I mean? We have a fear of falling and breaking bones, the ground has become a synonym for danger and injury. Getting on our knees -and up again is more and more difficult, we avoid it.
The second thing I want to address is "functional strength". I have the feeling that I'm only strong in the gym -but not in real life. Last time I had to uproot plants and carry them a few feet. It was a hassle, because of the angle and not having something to grip on.

I'm very determined to change that by doing more body weight stuff. When using weights, I will pay way more attention to possible angles and grips I can change, to not get an exclusive "linear strength" for certain movements.
Are you getting my vibe?
I totally get this, my post before about getting beaten in a running race by my kid highlighted this. I was doing 15 reps ass to grass of 80kg (not much I know) barbell squats a day or so before. The gym can give you a false sense of strength and fitness due to becoming conditioned to work along certain grooves only. Real World stuff involves all kinds of twists and turns.

My in-laws bought a trampoline for the kids and last weekend I went for a bounce and I'm not kidding, felt like all parts of my body were gonna come flying off. Bounced onto my knees at one point and felt like I dislocated something.

When I was I kid I would climb trees and practically jump down from the top. Now if I try and jump down three steps from my back door am worried my ankles will give.

Time for some conditioning, higher rep stuff me thinks. Loving the 5% joint defender (apart from the taste) my nagging arm pain I've had since Xmas has gone. I have hope.

I do this on daily basis along with training when I can. I do notice it does get harder year after year with the lawncare. But the training stays the same. I really try to have a good 20-30 min ground roll/stretch 3-4x a week. Definitely helps

True. Just the other day I was trying to get a bolt off my car and my buddy that just went through cancer had to loosen it for me.

I try to do more functional stuff, upping intensity and difficulty over time. Tendency is to calisthenics -and stuff I did when training karate 30 years ago. After my first advanced push ups session, I felt muscle activation all over my body, all the fibers that never get used are responding, awesome feeling!

@hairygrandpa - I am often wrong. Ok, well, not often - but I think you are going about the "getting old" part the wrong way. The issue is that you're very strong and able to contract your muscles with force and in certain patterns, but when moving freely your patterns are not as perfect.

I recommend this to a lot of people who think I'm nuts - but Yin Yoga. Wake up a little early, start your day off with 30-40 minutes of swearing at some b1tch for holding a pose for too long (it starts to hurt) and humbling yourself by rolling around on the floor. Within 2 weeks I bet you will feel much better.

Of course, I did this for 4 months and was sold on it - but then life took over and I haven't been doing what I know I should lately...

The idea is good! Instead of yoga, I would like to do some karate katas slowly, like in Tai-Chi and some floor exercises we used to do for warming up, should have the same effect. This way I don't have to learn all that yoga stuff.

LOL. Come on! It was a different time. The porn stache is gonna make a comeback!

I see what you are doing, it may work.... :)
LOL. When I did it I was getting up at 5 and using videos from a woman on YouTube that did Yin style yoga and I would literally start swearing at her because she would hold these poses and the pain would become intolerable haha.

Update:

I had nagging pain in my left thumb for the last week, thought I got injured while uprooting plants at my farm. After checking with my friend, the internet, turns out, its carpa tunnel syndrome.
Found out that arimidex can causing it, anybody knew that?
Now doing a bunch of rehab exercises daily.... getting old is a pain in the thumb.

I've heard about this but from what i remember its due to hormones when women goes through breast cancer treatment. I have never read or heard anyone mention this happening so i assume its a rarity at least for men which are the majority of the people on steroids.

Yes, a rarity. I'm prone to rarities, like lactating and stuff. Sh1t.

Nah, no serm. Took nolva for 3 weeks until nipples were good again. Currently on 50mg winstrol/d , 50mg proviron/d and 250mg/w test + 0.5mg adex e3d (lowering to 0.5mg e4d -then off as time goes bye).

Will stay on winstrol 1 more week, completing this way 8 weeks orals (t-bol bridged to winstrol).

I never go to doctors. Self diagnosed and 99% sure. Did all the self tests. Believe me, I'm very good at this.
Doctors are overrated, now that we have access to all the information needed. Unless its a surgeon, I stay away from doctors, or if I need an MRI -or a prescription to get a lab test -or to confirm a self diagnose. In that case now, its carpa tunnel, all symptoms lit up.
