No idea on isolate. Most of our keto people don't need supplemental protein, we're trying to get them to lower it 99% of the time. To be honest, I haven't drank a protein shake in years, I like food. If/when I do, I'd prefer a low grade concentrate to keep the protein as intact as possible and just account for the fat/carbs and make adjustments elsewhere.


I hear that! I'm only 170lbs max (155 when fully cut) and I take in 240-275g protein a day. I often find I have to cut protein to meet my total daily intake on full keto diet.
I'm currently carb cycling though and leaning out as though I'm on full keto (due to the keto induce) I'm getting away with 75-100g carbs daily on training days and still cutting as tho I'm taking in less than 25g... Starchy carbs too like white rice and the like. Would love to be able to keep eating sushi rolls and quest bars throughout the summer!

How's the taste? I use bpi whey hd. 6 gram carbs for 2 servings, 50 grams protein
You ever blood test? If so do you ever get above .3 mmol for ketones, without the use of KI? I ask because I would go keto for more than a week and the highest ketone measurement I can get is .3. Maybe it's cause 175 grams of protein is causing gluconeogenesis? What say you?
The only 'complaint' I'm having w KI is that it has made me flat the last two days despite cycling carbs. Guess I need to carb up and hone in on water and salt intake
The biggest plus I'm seeing is that my upper body is filling out/maintaining size while my waist (mid belly and lower back) is leaning out. I don't have much in the way of love handles anymore luckily.
Yes on 1 and 2, and for 3 I recommend KetoCaNa and MCT.1) Could KI be used as part of a rapid fat loss protocol which essentially has some fat, no carbs, and lots of protein? Along with a large caloric deficit, for short periods of time.
2) Given this context, would using KI every 12 hours be beneficial? From what I'm reading, it would appear that a single dose of KI per instructions would be sufficient.
3) Technically speaking, if I don't intend to eat carbs after waking (and using KI the night before), there's no need to continue usage of KI?

It's not one over the other. Ki is mainly for ketosis while you sleep but for people who are still consuming carbs throughout the day; Reap the benefits of ketosis for 8 or so hours but still enjoy the carbs during the day. Ketocana is for someone who is on a Keto diet throughout the day and provides a variety of benefits including extra energy for the carb depleted and rapid transition into ketosis. The blend of calcium sodium BHB as opposed to just Na-BHB in KI may offer different benefits?
Edit-I might have interpreted your post wrong and you may fully be aware of the different purposes between the two products but wanted the science and reasoning behind the recommendations. I'll leave the original post incase.
My question for Matt is : is it ok to consume this after a night of drinking? I normally only drink tequila rocks anyway. But for the sake of the general public, can we use this at bed after a night of consuming typical alcoholic beverages beer, wine, mixed drinks, etc?

That's a tricky one a bit out of my area of expertise. I'm recommending Strafe, and considering toying with a low carb isolate, but over tried in the morning while I ketosis and it did end up pushing me out.Matt, you posted on the facebook about the ketogenic/glucogenic aminoacids.
My question is: if many aminos are glucogenic, a pre-bed protein shake wouldn't be bad with KI?
Could you test this with the keto sticks?
Testing ketones with piss sticks is about worthless. Blood strips will tell if you're in ketosis. Individual amino's can be ketogenic, like leucine. Others are not. Protein will knock you out of ketosis when high enough. Often fitness people say they're on a keto diet when in reality, they're just on a low carb diet. Protein being too high to get into ketosis.
