Dsade's Traumatic Injury/IDRT recovery log

Isn't it both amazing and totally suckass how easy it is to lose that much lean mass and gain that much padding in just 2 weeks?

Here is my recovery 8 days after the nasal surgery and rebreak. Right eye blackness is finally abating.

I'm sure Christine with agree with me when I say that ain't a half bad looking mug ;) Glad to hear & see things have been healing up. I lost 6 full weeks of training this summer b/c of my work in Uganda, so I know what it's like. You'll bounce back, use this as some extra motivation.

Man, I just saw stumbled on this today. I don't really know what to say! I'm glad to see you've been healing VERY well! I'm really sorry you had to experience an encounter with the absolute WORST humanity has to offer. All I can say is to feel good knowing this guy is going to cry himself to sleep for YEARS, every night wondering how he, as such a "badass", is getting RAPED every day, and realizing there is no end for a VERY LONG TIME! His EGO DEATH would be more than enough consolation for me, and I hope it helps for you. You've helped me many times in the past, and we'd all welcome the opportunity to help you now! All the best!

Thanks, Brian..I appreciate the support. I'm having some residial nerve damage that is really unpredictable, especially as the weather starts to get cooler.

Here's today's picture - a little over 3 weeks from injury. Healing is extremely impressive, considering all of the cuts were to the bone. You can also laugh at my left eyebrow where I managed to remove half of my brow along with the stitches. That was an experience, I'll tell you that much.

Ya, no kidding! I almost can't even tell anything happened! I wish I healed as quick as you! I know quite a bit about nerve damage though. I've got nerve damage in both of my hips, and like you said, it seems like cold, humidity, and night time really make my nerves hurt like hell, regardless of activity level that day. Hopefully yours are just pinched or something, and they'll work themselves out.

Thanks to everyone that came up to me at the Olympia to both stare/verify up close the healing and wish me well, haha.
