I tend to just use the cross arm grip and keep the bar on my delts. The clean grip is bad for my wrists with any weight.
I've tried the cross arm grip but couldn't grip it well. It kept slipping off of me.

There's always the method that involves using straps for the front squat. Just google front squat with straps

after time you'll adjust. my wrists would be super sore immediately after, now it's all gravy...

I meant with a decent amount of weight. I front squat > 4 plates, that'd utterly destroy my wrists/thumbs with a clean grip.

I've never tried straps but I feel like it'd be more difficult than any other option - you're trying to pull tension on a strap yet keep elbows as high as possible at the same time.

I've only used straps once and it made it difficult to grip since I have small hands.

I had always used cross arm then read that article on here about using straps. First time I tried it I almost dumped the bar with only 135 on. Tried it at different weights but could never get comfortable with it. So I'm just sticking with cross arm now.

dont think it's douchey or unmanly...just different. Clean grip really isn't hard, just takes a few months to get the mobility and form down. I would take straps over cross arm personally though. Just one mans opinion

I teach in my high school health classes...never rush. Slow the fk down and smell the roses. Everyone is in a gd hurry these days---instant email, text messages, all that. Hurry up and then what? Hurry to the next thing? This clearly gets me fired up. SSSSLLLLLOOOOOWWWWWWWW DOWN, look out the windows, notice nature.
I'm out.

Ducks on water... Peaceful, cool, calm above water, but underneath legs are churning a million miles an hour.

-same thing I coach my teams and in life in general. We can move fast but have to have the the ability to slow down and recognize what's around us...

But I'm old school. I still read the newspaper, don't have any social media, and actually have social skills. Lol weird right.

It's great... I just prefer cross arm... You do feel more manly cross arming that $hit though...

It's not hard to pull tension when you lack flexibility...

I did watch before, but sometimes he spoke about the same $hit again & again... I didn't know he had a comedy channel though...
Yes! That's why I can only watch him once in a while. He has like 20 different channels because they keep getting flagged down.

Not gym related but the army is a dbag for giving my soon to be ex orders to Italy when she doesn't even like Italian food. Although on the bright side kind of settles things custody wise with our son because she can't take him with her since she's got no local emergency family care plan over there.

She's still the dbag for being a horrible person. It's funny too how they will cheat on you and you'll still have to worry about them winning custody because they are a female and you are a male. I guess that's what feminists call equality.

Aren't forums considered part of social media?
