Painting huh, well thats great shoulder work! I hate painting too, hence why the paint and all the brushes have been sitting in my bathroom a month. I keep hoping one day I'll wake up and the paint fairies will have finished it!

haha thats great....I guess my boss found some paint fairies though...because it's definitely 11am and he hasn't called.

Summary
So again today I was told I was going to work and ended up getting shafted. Boss decided to let me know around 4pm that I wouldn't be working today....then I had to call him at 8pm for tomorrow's assignment. Supposedly I work tomorrow. We shall see.

go planks!!! I love planks and I think they are a great addition to any core training!

if you can do a 60 sec hold then you might benefit from doing them for reps. try doing 12 of them at 5-10 seconds each, just break for a moment between. give it a try at 5 seconds up, 1 second down for 12 reps and see how it feels. if it's too easy then you can either up the reps or the static hold duration.

I am definitely envious of that trip...lol. Im sure i'll get out there someday. My first goal was Ireland and then right after, one of the Asian territories!

I will give that a shot also with the plank reps!
 
My brother spent almost a month in Japan, he loved it so much that he was definitely close to not coming back. I also have a buddy that went over to South Korea after he graduating university (21 or 22 yrs old) to teach english, 8 years later he's still over there, he's definitely never coming back.

yah thats the fear I have with going over to those parts. I truly love the culture and i feel like I may not want to come back, haha

Day 12

Summary
Finally got back to work today and had a very very strenuous day there. Within 8 hours we managed to do a full cleaning on the shop (including the attic), Cleaned out and re-organized the cage out back with a lot of the equipment, Took all of the trash and compacted it and got it all sorted and ready for pickup (that doesnt sound like much but it was ALOT), and we edged ALL of the bed's in the yard to get ready for the mulch delivery coming soon. Tomorrow we are supposed to be handling a pond cleanout a few towns away...so we'll see how that goes.
The very good news of the day is that after a bit of discussion and pleading, my girlfriend is allowing me to play on my USTA men's tennis team this year. The season's first match is 5/3....so now I really need to get conditioned and ready to hit :)

haha its at the Tennis Hall of Fame...they have a ton of grass courts, and it's policy during tournament play to wear all white :)
 
Awesome on the tennis! If you are training anyone soon this works for planks...we did it as a team superset. First group did 15 flat curls and 6 hammer curls while the other group had to hold a plank until there partner was done. Then we switched for 4 sets.

haha yeah that sounds intense. I'd probably vary the movements though....I never train anyone with curls :scared:
 
whoa whoa whoa.... Atreyu never sucked. A death grip on yesterday wasn't the best but it isn't sucky and I actually enjoyed their newest cd although the curse is my favorite.

Deathgrip had like 3 decent tracks out of 9.....and their newest album is fan pleasing CRAP so they could promote themselves onto Mtv.

I do agree with the fan pleasing garbage but it didn't turn out half bad. The curse is where it's at.

The Curse and Suicide Notes were both great albums. The first time I heard "Right side of the Bed" I was like...hahaha yes!

Summary
Kind of a quick update today because I need to get in touch with the USTA and I need some sleep badly. Today was 9 hours worth of a pond cleanout...and it was a NASTY pond. Tomorrow is another pond in the same neighborhood...and it's supposed to pour. I will probably be in a bad mood tomorrow.

Summary
Well today was a fairly good day I guess. It kinda sucked because it was the 2nd pond cleanout in 2 days and it was kinda rainy here and there...but it was fairly good because I managed to not eat meat on Good Friday which is a first for a very long time. Im not very religious...but my father was, and I know he would have been happy that I refrained from eating meat today.
Mini cheated towards the end of the day..and hopefully it doesn't affect tomorrow morning's weigh in too badly.

I know...I felt crappy right after. Trust me....it pales in comparison to today :(. We went to an Easter Egg hunt and pics with the Easter bunny. Nutrition today has been awful.

I met them on Mest's last tour I believe at the Crowbar here in State College. This was back in 2006 I think... They are pretty laid back and especially talented.

Day 18

Summary
I guess this will be combined for yesterday and today alike. Yesterday was a good day but I was landscaping for 10.5 hours. We had a pond cleanout AND a property that all needed to get done yesterday between the 2 of us. It was no fun. Today was a bad day for me. Things were going well early, ended work early with only about 5 hours today, bought some stuff that I thought was heartfelt, but I was wrong. It was a bad gesture I guess, and that just led to fighting and such to end out the day. ugh.
