I agree with the "go big or go home" mentality when it comes to AAS use. There is no point investing the time, and partaking in the risks and side effects that come along with AAS unless you're making some very significant gains. This is why, generally speaking, the threshold of intolerable side effects should be the upper limit on the amount of gear you can run. In other words, if you can safely handle the side effects, go for it.Going off the topic with the dosages, I believe if someone is going to run a cycle of steroids, they should go with high dosages with long periods of time. Just the idea of running mild cycles to me is stupid and a waste of time. "Go big or go home".
But, from what I've picked up in my own experiences and those of others, it seems longer cycles don't have the same "return on investment" that shorter, higher dosed cycles have. With long cycles the gains begin tapering off pretty quick as your body adjusts. Also, generally speaking, a longer cycle is going to be harder to recover from. For example, I would much rather do a 10 week Test cycle (which to me is pretty long as it is) with a gram per week than a 20 week cycle of 500mg/week. Same amount of gear, the gains probably won't be dramatically different, but the recovery process most likely would. On top of that, with the 20 weeker it will be longer before you can safely run your next cycle which means over time, your accumulated gains might be less.
This is just my take on it, everyone has their own.
