Craze = weird high and "jawing"

Well just got my tub of craze took 2 scoops at 6:00pm and 20-30 min later I noticed this was not a normal pre-workout... About an hour and half later I started to jaw a bit and lick my lips?!?!? Well going back my college days and substance you this weird side effect reminds me of other things I have taken. Its 1045 and still have this weird neurotropic effect going, was def stronger earlier. Anyone else experience this. Whats this stuff acting on? No complaining but def a different pre-workout
 
Why did you double the dose from the get go? I know it gives me dry mouth when I take it, but not the way you are explaining it. I also don't notice any of the sides you report. I just feel focused and could push harder

Didn't double from get go. took yesterday and didn't feel much so tried it again today. I have taken almost every pre-workout under the sun and NEVER has "dry" mouth or this jawing type sensation... And the effect is very different
 
Jawing as in grinding your teeth like on X?

That's essentially what I was assuming, except not clinching his teeth/grinding, was thinking more along the lines of "chewing" air and moving the jaw around.
 
Weird....did you at least get a kick ass workout from this stuff? or is it like a lot of other pre-workouts..
 
Experienced both symptoms (along with many more). The jawing is particularly annoying and continuous daily use will actually have your jaw sore by the end of the week.

:S really... That makes me not really want to try this stuff anymore. How is the performance boost in the gym compared to other pre-workouts?
 
I have gotten the same feeling from to much craze. I also received the feeling from a decent dose of 1,3.

While i thought the same thing as far as X goes, they stated they did multiple home drug tests and none came out positive.

I myself also took a home drug test and it did not come out positive. Just a little info.

I actually enjoy the gnawing effect, I got it just from caffeine due to my highly dopamine/PEA filled brain. It makes look sinister LMAO!
 
It's a weird high, I'd say that. I took 2 scoops yesterday and didn't really enjoy the feeling. I was totally focused, but, I dunno, just don't like the mental 'weirdness'. Also seemed to raise inflammation while using (body pains, joint pains).
There's no way I'll take it daily. If I take it again, I'll do 0.5-1 scoop MAX.

It is probably from PEA or a PEA analog- PEA does the same thing to me- makes me grind my teeth as well....I love the feeling though

I've been using 1 scoop of Craze per day, first thing in the morning, since Sunday. Can't say I've experienced any jaw weirdness.

In fact, I don't know if "Craze" is even appropriate for the name, as I don't feel crazy like Animal goin' off on his drumset. To me, it's more like vigor, determination, and endorphins all mixed together. If you've ever experienced an endorphin rush during/after exercising, then imagine it being prolonged for a couple hours after the dose kicks in. That's what I liken the feeling to. Typically, I get up, take a scoop of it, along with 10g 2:1:1 BCAA on an empty stomach, take a walk, and go to work. It seems to taper off smoothly by about 11AM.

This remark was interesting to me, because I think I may experience the same thing. However, I am led to believe that it is a side effect of my exertion, rather than Craze, itself.

I've walked at least 400 miles prior to buying it, but this week while taking it, I've walked 5.4 miles every morning since Sunday, at a pace of 4.2-4.5mph non-stop... and upon getting home, there's been a sensation around both of my knees. Not a pain, but like a warmth that lasts for a half hour after I stop. Never had that particular feeling before, though I have had numerous little, temporary pains, like my achilles or hip flexors with or without Craze. Nonetheless, I am doubtful that if I take a scoop and do nothing, that my knees will suddenly feel weird. But, I could be totally off my rocker, because maybe excitation = stress --> inflammation prima facie.

Another thing people bring up is dehydration / thirst, but I must be an anomaly; I don't feel dry mouth or overly thirsty. I'm almost no different without it. Every day I've had it, I've not taken in liquid for 3-4 hours, and even then, it's not much. Urine looks the same.

Overall, outside of the obvious improvement in terms of well-being, enjoyment of exercise, and focus, I've basically made my mornings much more effective. Before, I'd normally experience an energy lull between 8-11am. Now it tends to happen between 2-5pm.

Totally agree with your "mental weirdness" description. It's an awesome supp for workouts.....but man, I feeel awful after, and all "wrong" in the head. But, the workouts are worth it for me, I break PR's and really do push extremely hard. Just beware of potential for multiple sides with this.
 
The jawing as you put it is normal I have gotten it with many other pre workouts before but didn't think much of it. Just went hand in hand with intensity. A nice dose of tyrosine does the same to me.

It seems to happen for a lot of users, maybe we can have DS chime in on how to deal with this. Perhaps take some recovery stuff, to "replenish" whatever's been strained. :) I don't think just having protein afterwards helps (with the mental issues).
 
Maybe ALCAR helps to reduce cognitive side effects?

In my case, the dose was definitely too high. I was also taking piracetam, centrophenoxine, and several other substances, and still felt "weird". Even felt abit depressed the next day, although 5-HTP seemed to help there.
1/2 scoop next time.
 
I'd suggest cutting back on the nootropics. I don't take any and neither do the 5 buddies I gave samples too and not one of us has had any of these side effects.

Also OP, did you try 1 scoop after not eating for 1.5-2 hours? I take 1 to 1.5 scoops depending on how run down I am after work and school and always notice it. 2 scoops is probably overstimulation and this is coming from a guy that ditched his jack3d scoop and was just using a measuring cup previously.

I got a weird high from this product too. Invalid Link Removed I accidentally named it wrong and you can't edit the name of the post for some reason. That should definitely be an option.

Tried it without any other supplements, and got the same weird mental effects. Only not as pronounced, but was only taking 1 scoop, instead of the previous 2 scoops.

edit: 1/2 scoop seems to be enough for me, a nice focus without "weirdness". However my heartbeat pounds stronger, so have to remember to drink loooots of water...

Interesting. Just goes to show how different one person's body can be from another's. I actually have noticed my water consumption increasing since I started taking Craze. I'm not sure if that's from the actual ingredients or because my workouts have become more lengthy.
 
The "weird high" kinda sounds similar to the effects of higher dosing of PEA, which I see a form of it is in the ingredient profile of Craze.
 
I just got a tub of this and after the reviews I may never try it. I currently use Lit-up and its amazing. Clean energy, focus, no crash and no mental dip or sides. Unlike the old dmaa containing products. Ill be expecting this to work somewhat like pre-surge if I do open it. Idk I never liked the grinding and lip liking when I did substances and idk if i want my pre-wo to cause this either.
 
Also note that Craze utilizes Bioperine and, in their trademarked Citrimine ingredient, naringenin. Bioperine is supposed to aid in the absorption of things, and naringenin is supposed to inhibit an enzyme that is largely involved in the metabolism of drugs in the body. I'd imagine that these two work hand in hand - the Bioperine helping the user's body to absorb the naringenin and then the other stuff. Afterward, the naringenin assists by extending the half-life of the caffeine and remaining goodies.

This could be problematic for people stacking other items, whether they're scripts, nootropics, whatever. Their effects, good and bad, will be amplified since they won't break down as fast. This is why they tell you not to be eating grapefruits when you take meds, because you could easily overdose on an otherwise normal, safe dose.

This post caused quite a stir, figured it would. I wasn't saying anything about testing pos for drugs, was just making a statement saying it has some similar effects. The "werid buzz" like many report is what I found interesting. Def not an issue. Very solid concentration in the gym. It is just something very different from what I have used in the past and was wondering if it was just me getting this effect or did other notice it. I really don't feel stim-ed out like most pre workouts, just have the "different" mental feeling. Very interesting because I love to workout after a small "puff." I get a crazy mind muscle connection and can really feel every muscle fiber working. I find Craze to be very similar in its concentration effect. Def a plus with me.

if it has Bioperine I hope someone isnt on meds and take it close to this product cause it will amplified the meds

Good catch, the Craze page has the Triazole warning. Will get that corrected.
 
i take two scoops 30-45 minutes before i workout i like craze it keeps me super focused and energetic to get through my workouts i haven't noticed and side effects i eat after my workout and sleep like normal
 
Noticed no side effects as of yet. I took two scoops before my workout last night. I had great focus and felt no lag by midpoint of my workout. I was a bit more thirsty. I'm no stranger to PEA so I guess my body is used to it. Usually when I dose my PEA, it's 1.5g. I'm sure no where near that much in Craze.
