Early birthday present from my son!

And can confirm, it's legit

Most I have ever spent on a beer... $17. Whats even worse? Having to drink it while your team gets their asses kicked against Stanford :(Invalid Link Removed

Home after a four hour drive back from my grandson's birthday. Thought I'd try something new

Round two, cause I'm on vacation

Spent the last few days at my Mom's, building a new deck. Worst thing about a few days off is catching up on everything I've missed on AM. Fortunately, I've got good company.....

SBC Orange is the New Ale and SBC Razz the Roof have been everywhere recently for me....it's a local brewery and the beers are really good, it's not cold enough for the stouts and porters yet.

Travelers Pumpkin Shandy has hit the spot too since it's a lighter pumpkin beer

I'm blaming TheMyth for this turn. At least it's a high abv IPA, right?

I've got a few left, I'm a hoarder

Love Dark Horse brews. Do tgey also do Scotty Karate scotch ale? Have some stashed.

Was on the verge of grabbing some of the Scotty Karate, but the reviews weren't that great on it. Maybe next time?

How was that pb cup? I love straight pb beer but not crazy when they add choclate too it

Actually pretty good. Light flavoring but enough to satisfy. I like it cuz it makes it enjoyable to drink the whole thing with a tad bit of flavor and a strong stout taste mixed in.

Celebrating the first heavy frost of the year

Honestly can't believe i just found this thread. Cause if there's two things i love/hoard/buy too much of, it's supplements and beer.

This weekend's tastings:

And a fine way to do so!

It was a little bitter. I'm going to hold on to it for a few months and see how it handles it, even though it's a lower abv. Hoping a little age will take care of that.

Since tomorrow is International Stout Day, I hope to see a bunch of pictures posted. Specifically lookin at you TheMyth. If I can be forward thinking enough to enjoy an occasional IPA, you can certainly try a stout at least once a year, am I right?

I've tried many, MANY, Stouts and I just can't get past the first few sips... I also just got back on the Keto train, 4 days in, so I can't even have an IPA :-/

I haven't been able to post a pic ever since the app switched. I have to use the browser version on my phone for pics. :/

I know your pain. I did a good bit of keto this year. Coke Zero and bourbon is better than no alcohol, but it doesn't scratch the beer itch!

Happy International Stout Day!!!

I can already tell that would be a crazy experience. I'm definitely down for meeting some of you guys. I'd probably just go for the beer. Funny people would be a bonus.

I only drink their stouts and porters. I like most of them. The rest of the beers don't hold up to competitors. Not a fan at all of their lighter beers and IPAs. The Retribution bourbon barrel aged stouts are awesome, though. Imo.

All bourbon barrel-aged.

Nice! Especially interested in the Espresso. The Pumpkin on the other hand, seems like a waste of a good bottle. IMHO. I've never developed a taste for pumpkin beer.

That bourbon and stout taste takes precedence over all of the flavors. I dislike most pumpkin beers, but a couple of the ones I enjoyed were pumpkin stouts like this. I'm also a fan of Warlock pumpkin stout. My favorite of the retribution line so far is the Chocolate Cherry. They release two new flavors every year that can only be bought today. 2015 was pumpkin and chocolate cherry. 2016 was creme de menthe and caramel apple. This year was cocoa & chile and espresso & bourbon vanilla. It's fun. Met a lot of nice people today.
