Coop's Corner #7: Amentoflavone Finally Explained

Just wondering how this would affect injuries with the added strength gain?

I'm working with exercises that don't hurt and that i can progress with so i'm looking forward to the extra strength but would Amentomax have a positive, negative or neutral impact on my recovery / rehab?

Mine actually arrived today and really looking forward to trying it.

No direct affect. But indirectly, if AM lets you train harder, and you choose to train that injured area, more injuries may occur. So keep doing what you're doing and don't train the areas that hurt.
 
It's been a week and the mood elevation on the first day must have been my excitement because it hasn't been like that since, but I am generally always in a positive mood so I don't know if I would notice much. The strength may be increasing, but I will give that time and watch my log book. The one thing I can say I am definitely seeing in the mirror and my wife agrees, is fat loss in my mid section. I am always around 10-11%, but my mid section is starting to look very tight.

I have no idea if it is related because I don't know when to expect to see things, but nothing else has changed, so it is my only explanation.

Actually, thinking about it, I haven't really been that hungry and maybe I am lowering calories without realizing. I don't feel like something is killing my appetite, but I just haven't been craving things.

I know what you mean man. If I stuck with going strictly by appetite, it's a one way ticket to quick weight loss.
 
Got a cheap 90ct Amentoflavone on Black Friday. Any benefit to dosing higher than 80 mg? Is it better to spread it out if you're dosing higher?

I wouldn't go past 120mg. Most dose 80-100mg.

I don't think we know the half life of Amentoflavone but I would still dose in a pre-workout setting.

The Amentoflavone in Amentomax is 200mg*20%, so that would mean 40mg per cap, correct? I was thinking 80mg pre-workout, 40mg before a later meal.

Correct, 40mg per cap.I would just stick to the pre-workout dose unless your dosing alongside forskolin later in the day.
 
i tried 2 caps vs 3 and didn't see any real difference in benefit.

but when i stop my two caps, i can tell a difference about 3-4 days later
 
You might have to experiment with dose quantity...as far as acute strength increase was concerned, 2caps did nothing for me, 3 prewo is bang on though. Not sure what (if any) extra benefit 3 over 2 has for mood/body comp, though.

In not sure of the answer regarding synergy with amento, but Dsade have previously stated that he gets a significant strength increase dosing 1g calcium pwo.

This is my 2nd day on amento (120mg) and i feel muuuuch warmer than usualy.i am sweating much more on training too. I mean it does not feel bad at all. :)

And the second thing i have noticed is vigilance. Seriously. Its in a very gooood way. Not energized but like i have good sleep and its a good day.

here in north of norway we have a period called DarkTime. Its when sun is gone 2 months (back in january). Its almost dark 24/7 in one month .i use to feel so tired and sleepy but those two days i feel awesome

With Amentoflavone, it is worth trying it at 2 caps for a few days, and then trying it at 3 caps and seeing how it goes for you. Its a tricky supplement and you should find what works best for you. Most people are fine with 80 mg, some prefer 120.

Also, are you asking if ingesting calcium with Amentoflavone is synergistic?

Dunno if my next question is somewhat related but...

In your experience, and/or from what is known about amentoflavone, would *all* the benefits of the ingredient increase as a unit whne increasing dosage amount? What i mean is, if i find 80mg produces no acute strength increase but 120mg does, might the mood/body composition effects also be more noticeable by me (or anyone in a similiar predicament) at the higher dose? Or just 'not necessarily' (too many variables at play to say for sure)?

Well, the scale doesn't lie. After 8 days, I am down from 215 to 210 when I weigh myself at the same time each day. Lifts have not gone up, but they also have not gone down, so that is impressive. I may have to cycle this so I don't fade away. :)

You can dose just on workout days. The effects on strength are more acute than anything.

The original thread states that this is also good on off-days if dosed before meals due to its effects to prevent fat synthesis and GDA-like effects. Maybe I'm interpreting it wrong though...

Everyday dosing if weight loss is the main goal. Workout days only if performance/strength is the goal.

But yes, it does help improve insulin sensitivity.

would like to know this to. ate a bunch of dairy once as a pre workout meal (calcium of peace) felt way stronger using my amento than usual i do believe it helps a bit

Is rebound anxiety possible with amentoflavone?

I know this is slightly off topic but i mentioned in another thread that i was getting a slight headache since i started AmentoMAX but could have been a couple of other possibilities for that.

But that being said i felt like the mood effects were pretty similiar to that which i felt while using Aniracetam which helps with certain anxiety disorders. And of course racetams are generally used in combo with choline supplements to prevent depletion and headache.

Because Amentoflavone is new i thought it may be an unexplored area. It's may also be coincidense that i took 1.5mg of Choline Bitatrate this morning and my headache went away.

Sorry if anyone feels like i hijacked the thread.

I am not sure if its amento or.. but those last 3 dsys on amento i had horrible sleep. Waking up many times and feel somehow energized. Not like stim energized but dont want to sleep
 
You dosing am or pm danes? Theres an old amento thread at bbcom that someone recently bumped, and Raiders4life/Bolt has a post in there commenting how amento can generate 'alertness' due to its effects on the cns...if youre dosing in the mornin, tho, well *shrug*

Amentoflavone is a negative modulator of the GABA-A receptor, which should leave you feeling alert.
 
I too have been experiencing very light sleep. I take one in a.m and another in the afternoon. I may dose both in morning and reassess.
 
Ya check how late you dose it. I've had no issues but can't say others wouldnt.

Should be no issues with AmentoMax and sleep.

Amentoflavone is a negative modulator of the GABA-A receptor, which should leave you feeling alert.

The allosteric inhibition effects of Amentoflavone do not occur at benzodiazepine binding sites on GABA-A receptors. These are traditionally the sites people refer to when discussing sedating effects of GABA-A agonists.
