Classy and competition ready!

LOL E he is going to be a big boy! Sounds like its time for pictures again!! He is growing up way too fast..

that reminds me, now that we are done with the pregnancy, i can actually try SP :D

So christine, for your laughter sake, david was born 10 or 11 weeks ago, at 8lbs 6oz or so, now at 10 weeks he right about 18lbs. thats over top of chart for a 4 month old. luckily his height is also over the top of chart too.....
18 pounds in 10 weeks? Admit it...you are putting Havoc in his formula.

Whoops forgot to add in Fris arm day..Ah well.

Leg day
Started with 10 per leg of single legged squats with 20 jumping jack lunges stationary. Did our 4 sets here.

Then we did weighted alternating step ups for 15 per leg with walking lunges from one end of gym and back for 3 sets.

Then we did extensions at 75lbs for 10 reps with 40lb dumbell straight legged deads for 4 sets.

Then we did weighted pop squats for 15 reps with walking pump lunges from one end to the other and walked back for 4 sets.

Then we did single legged extensions for 10 per leg. I started at 50 lbs and could do it easily with my right leg but that stupid left knee just killed. I could get the weight up 3/4 of the way then even lowering it back down hurt. She could see the actual pain on my face so she dropped me to 40 for the remaining 3 sets. We did more deads with these sets. There were 4 total.

Then we did walking non weighted lunges to one end of the gym and on the way back we did backwards walking lunges. Backwards sucks, throws your balance off and just looked plain gay!

Then I did 4 sets of 90lb calves at 15 reps a set. I still have energy left so for cardio I'm doing 1 Levi Reloaded and mowing front and back lawn!!! Woohooo, I HATE to mow. And the mower is NOT self propelled and the handle is broken to sit low..I will be a hot grouchy girl when I'm done :(

God i hate mowing the lawn too! :frustrate

Snakes, alligators, huge spiders, and many other random GIGANTIC insects are always an obstacle here in florida lol!

We have all but the Gators here! At least they are big enough you won't run over them. And I imagine if they chase you and you run the grass will get mowed faster:)

Lol - My wife tells me today that there are quite a few gators in the pond right outside our new place. Apparently, one was hanging out pretty close to my garage. The key is........run in a zig zag pattern lol!

out biking the other day my daughter ran over a water mocassin

I swear in my years in the E.R., more people are bitten by water mocassin's down here than anything. They are BY FAR the most aggressive snake in the 'crotalidae' or 'Pit Viper' family(Pygmy rattle snake, Eastern Diamondback rattle snake, Water mocassin, Mohave' Rattle snake, and Copperhead). Luckily, their venom is also the least toxic as well though.

I had a guy walk in holding a Pygmy rattle snake the other day that bit him. I was like......uh.......why didn't you kill it? lol! I'm kidding. I think snakes are fascinating, but i'm scared to death of them as well.

it was really comical actually. I was carrying a 12 pack of coke in one hand while biking, and had my sunglasses on the top of my head. I was a couple hundred feet in front of my daughter, and we were going over one of the wood walkway bridges that connect sidewalk pieces. I saw the tail of the snake, wasn't sure what it was so I slowed down and steered to avoid it, but went wobbly cause I was holding the coke, avoided him but the sunglasses fell off. I went a good 30 feet further then stopped and looked back, the glasses were maybe 2 feet from him and I realized it was a water mocassin. as my daughter got closer I yelled "look out, dont run over my glasses or the snake" and she managed to run over both instead :D the real comedy was the snake tho. my daughter stopped by me and we looked back at the snake, he raised his head and looked around with a sort of "what the hell just happened" and then bolted off into the woods as fast as he could go.

Did he take your sunglasses with him...cuz, that would be so cool.

no, and i'm still wearing the damn things. she just clipped them with her bike (ran straight across the coiled snake tho) so I have some new chips on the edge of the lens, but nothing major

Did 10 min of stationary bike at the office.

Shoulders.

We started with 15 dumbell shoulder presses with 20 quarter side raises for 4 reps.

Then we did 10 per arm on the up and outs with 1/4 front raises for 4 sets.

Then we did 1 alternating front raise with a single front shrug as 1 rep, we did 10 of these for 4 sets.

Then we did 50 mountain climbers on our dumbells with 6 rotating front raises for 4 sets.

We also did 4 sets of 10 incline lateral raises.

We did a few other sets with dumbells as we did all free weights today.

Then I did 16 min of incline cardio at 15 incline and every 4 min I went and ran uphill at a 5 speed, otherwise I stayed a steady 3.2.

I took my Hyp X a little bit closer to workout and found that it kicked in nicely during cardio. I could have went alot longer but little voices were nagging at me to go home...they were tired and bored..sigh..

While doing cardio the words to the song..back off, I'll take you on, headstrong I'll take on anyone!! They were running over and over through my head today.. Might be me mad at myself for putting on some weight and my getting sick of people. Some days its just hard to want to be around people. :(

And how many people around you point and laugh.

"Amongst your fellow sheep, firmly grasp a staff with a look of confidence, and everyone will think you're a shepherd." In other words, if you're in good enough shape (i.e. you're in the condition those at your gym are striving towards) they will see you working out, make a connection between "retarded-looking exercise" and "good results", and try to attempt it at a later time. Provided you don't mind making a fool out of yourself at least once, people will follow, the trend will propagate, and you will ultimately have the last laugh, as several fat people haphazardly try to mimic you.

Nats show is in Penn this weekend so she will be cutting out Friday class. So she decided to do back today and arms tomorrow.

Back day

We started with pulldowns at 70lbs x 15 for 4 sets.

Then we did sumo style deads at 70lbs for 15 reps at 4 sets.

Then we went to rope pull throughs between the legs at 60 lbs for 15 reps and 4 sets.

Then we did a triple set, we started with rope pulls where we backed up got in a squat position and reached up high and pulled straight down to our knees for 15 reps. Then we went to a low straight bar and backed up using 75lbs and got in squat position and hit 15 reps to our chest. We threw in 50 mountain climbers after each set. We did 4 sets of this.

Then we did 30 dragon flyes.

Then we hit dumbells bent over with a single dumbell and pulled a 45lb with both hands to the chest and did 15 reps, we instantly set it down and did pop squats and on the way up grabbed the dumbell into a deadlift for 6 reps. We did the usual 4 sets here.

We did a few more things and ended it on 4 sets of 100 broomstick twists. I did my 20 min of cardio before I started my training. For some reason I was really sweating today, even though I considered it an easy workout.

lol. yeah, some of those moves might be great for training but are only socially acceptable to do in an organized group.

Could you imagine a class full of people doing burpees?

Could you imagine a class full of people doing burpees?

you'll find a class like that in prison...

A conditioning routine that is popular on various training sites is the '100 challenge' in which you time yourself doing 100 burpees (full push up, squat thrust and jump) with the aim of reducing timings and increasing overall conditioning. Anything sub-10 minutes is considered a good level of conditioning with people even breaking the 5 minute barrier. A popular Mixed Martial Arts website Sherdog is one place where for such a challenge is ongoing Sherdog.net Conditioning Forums

A race to 100 burpees is occasionally used to settle disputes between inmates in high security prisons.
One prisoner in Pelican Bay has been known to perform 1000 burpees in an hour.

Arm day...I trained one on one with her.

Woke up with a migraine throwing up..sigh, yuck. It just so happened to be the day that I promised to take the kids to the fair..So I sucked it up, hit the meds and rolled on.

We did 3 hrs in the sun walking with a 105 heat index, got a little sweat time in there. Went straight to the gym, hit 13 min of cardio.

We started on the cable machine and did centered double bicep curls at 30 lbs for 15 reps , 4 sets.

Then we did wide grip bar tricep pushdowns 60lbs for 15 reps. 4 sets. We supersetted it with a 40 lb bar curls for 10.

We then moved on to dumbells, we did , huh wait whats this we stuff, I did laying presses for 15 and triple setted it with 10 per arm on supenated curls and then did 15 seated knee raises for abs. We did 4 sets here also.

Then I did 10 tricep bench pushups and 10 per arm on seated alternating curls for 4 sets.

We did a bunch of other things, discussed her show and how kick ass she looks ;) and now i'm about to hit the last half of the fair for another 3 hrs of walking!! woohoo!

Sounds like you're having a busy day. Hope you're having fun, and remember to put on sunscreen or else you'll have sunburn to go along with sore muscles tomorrow morning.

Way to tough it out even when you're not feelin' well crader! That's what separates winners from losers. You keep on goin' when everything else is tellin' you to stop. You continue to inspire me and my own workouts!! Thanks!! :clap2: THE THUNDERGOD:hammer:

wow, that shows some dedication!

More so to my kids, if you promise them you are going to do something you suck it up and do it.

I'm dedicated to the gym and transforming my body though. Hard to do it when you feel bad though.

I've been on probation twice(4 months left now actually)Crashed my car into a main gas line while drunk(why I'm on probation)But thats(highlighted part)why I quit drinking for the most part.I work out in the mornings, and it's too damn hard getting in a good wo when you don't feel so good.....(sorry for all the ())

lol, I think it's funny when my friends get annoyed that I won't drink with them because I'm training...I just have other priorities!

I'll still drink from time to time, but hardly ever.I just tell people that if I drink tonight,I wont go to the gym in the morning. But yeah,it kills me too."You mean you don't want to spend money to drink poison, act like a fool, possibly go to jail, and then not quite feel 100% in the morning?"

haha you've been on probation twice, once for a drunk driving accident, and you're quitting drinking to train harder?

I'm sorry..that just sounded funny :)

I quit a long time ago.Like I said,I will drink from time to time, but very rarely. It used to be evry day with opr without friends.Just me and some beer sitting on the couch was a PARTY!!!And I know,it is funny!Alcahol was involved the first time I was on probation too. Then yes,the crash that could of been fatal.I mean the thought isn't out there by any means when you hit a main gas line after "driving" in a field for a mile and a half through 2 barbed wire fences! But yes,BB'ing is what did it.Once I joined a gym and stopped training at home I had much more drive to get bigger than the other guy,and started doing everything I could to get there. It's things like that, that make bb'ing so positive for me and why it's not just a phase, but a lifestyle.Cause it changed my life for the better in many ways!

I always wanted to try absinthe. Is it actually different than regular alcahol?I know it's illegal in USA,but I seen ads that say "order at your own risk."I also heard it's suposively what shakespear cut his ear off on.....

its so hard to say. its made from wormwood, and contains a chemical that does a little bit of odd stuff to the brain, but i'm not really sure its that big a deal chemically, I think its more the placebo effect plus the whole ritual that goes along with it enhancing that. its a fun drink for sure :D

Yeah, thujone is not what everyone things it is. It actually activates the GABA receptors, not canniboid.

yeah, i've got a variety of different ones imported, and never got any of the crazy effects the old wives tales are about. but it is enjoyable, and if you do the bit with burning the sugar cube its a whole little show and preparation, so kinda just fun the whole way around. the taste is nice too for a sipper, sort of a licorice type like sambuca

Today and tomorrow are workout with Matt days as Natalie could not handle coming in second so she flew to Vegas to try again.

We did a mainly chest oriented workout, but I supersetted it with something constantly. I got in abs and some back and some arms with a tiny bit of legs. I'm looking to do the same tomorrow with a bunch of cardio.

I still am feeling sick and having headaches so I'm hoping to get over that soon. On a good note the 2 days of throwing up knocked 3lbs off me ;) I just need to keep the protein up and keep plugging away!

Nice to see an update...haha, I was getting worried that your log was going to be overrun by the absinthe invasion ;)

Ohhhh, that sucks! seems like I always get sick when I'm training really hard...kills progress!

are you taking anything to boost your immune system?

I was considering the deal for orange triad to get something to help with this problem.

regardless, keep up the great work and dedication!

I agree 100% with your resolution to keep on pluggin' away!! Most people will just skip when they're feeling a little under the weather. I force myself to go through with it. And I always feel better about myself after the ordeal is over!! Way to persevere crader!!

I'm taking the gut Health / NoXidant combo for immune system. My migraines are what triggered it all . Sadly there is not much I can do. Sometimes stress and lack of sleep will cause it. Then it just depends on how bad the pain gets. Once you start throwing up the pain pills it becomes a vicious cycle.

Good note I'm sore today :) So it won't take me long to get back on track.
