LOL me! I'm doing good now. Today was a good day for me. It will be shoulder day and I'm going all in with my supps and training. Its diet time again too.

Yeah 3 weeks to go. Down to around 4% bf or so. Hard to tell at this point. I put up some vids for my posing which I suck at. Gonna do GVT for now since joints are so with low fats. No carbs until July 17th too. Then I am loading like a mo fo. :):bigeyes:
 
Shoulder day

Started with dumbell front raises for 10 reps x 4 sets

Moved to dumbell overhead presses with dumbells turned in and fingers facing me for 10 reps supersetted with 30 mountain climbers on the dumbells x 4 sets.

Then we did machine flyes in a full circle for 15 reps supersetted with inside handle presses facing the seat pad for 10 reps x 4 sets.

Then we used the smith rack and did 15 pulls to the chin supersetted with 15 decline bench medicine ball ab sit ups x 4 sets.

Then we did 20 shrugs into a1/4 lateral..hit a few things and called it a day.

Will do 45 min of treadmill cardio at a moderate pace.
 
I always train hard, no point in going to the gym if you're not going to put your all in.
My wife always gives me the "how big do you want to get" line (granted, I'm not huge, but rather well developed for a 5'9" 200lb 44yo guy).

My reply is always the same - "that would be going through the motions, which neither reduces body fat or accrues LBM - why bother".

Chest

Started at 2 sets of dumbell presses for 15 reps and 2 sets heavier at 10 reps.

Then we did 4 sets of 10 coreboard shakes with a push up as 1 rep, we did 10 reps.

Then we did heavy overhead lying extensions for 15 with 6 heavy flyes for 4 sets.

Then we did a single set of 60lb crunches.

Then we did incline press for 15 reps x 4 sets.

Then we did 15 heavy pulses on the pec dec with 6 flyes.

Then we did a single set of coreboard shakes for 200 reps.
 
Back/ Bi day

I decided to throw in biceps today and skip arms tomorrow. Its the big firework show downtown and I want to take the kids.

We started with wide grip pull ups for 10 reps and 4 sets.

Then we did single arm cable rows for 10 per arm and 4 sets.

Then we did 6 wide grip heavy pulldowns tripled with sumo deadlifts for 10 reps and 10 barbell curls for 4 sets.

Then we did seated cable rows wide grip for 10 reps and then I did laying curls with the cables for 10 reps and 4 sets.

Then I did 10 dumbell squats with 10 alternating supinated curls for 10 per arm and 4 sets.

Then we did 2 sets of 20 front shrugs and 20 side shrugs and 10 full circle shrugs.

I know we did other stuff but my mind is foggy and tired. :)

Oh and Nat wants a comp diet buddy in 2 weeks. I'm considering it. I need to check on how many weeks out from the O that would be. That will make a difference on how long I do it for.

But honestly, diet is the only way to hit a true competition shape. And thats what I want for this years O. So I will have to suck it up and hit it hard this year.

The Olympia is 10 weeks out from 2 weeks away.

Yes, I will need to have my diet spot on (and I think it will be easier over there) and no getting away with whatever I want because of excessive training this time. I want the same as you.

I know. You still have another 2 weeks (it's 12 weeks from now) though before then.

Sean will keep ME in line! I have a feeling I am just going to get leaner and leaner while I am over there; which is good, because it will be easier to maintain once I get back.
 
Today was leg day again. We seem to be getting in a good groove and I'm not getting sick lately! :)

We started with 4 sets of 15 rep leg extensions at 70lbs to warm up.

Then we did 3 sets of dumbell squats balanced on a reebok balance thing for 10 reps supersetted with dumbell pump lunges from one end of gym to the other.

Then we did 4 sets of the dumbell deads on the same core board for 10 reps supersetted with stationary step up lunges with dumbeels onto the board for 10 per leg.

Then we did seated leg curls for 15 reps and 4 sets.

Then we hit 4 sets of 90 degree leg presses wide stance at 225lb for 10 reps supersetted with 10 per leg on the kneeling butt blaster.

Then we did 3 sets of 30 rep clave raises at 90lbs.

All in all an easy day!


Diet will kick in this weekend or Monday all the until the O!
 
i've been working out EOD, and then finally gotten consistent at doing cardio the off days for an hour each time. I should look pretty good for the O with any luck

Then we moved to do heavy seated machine presses for 60lbs and 6 reps supersetted with 15 push ups for 4 sets.

Then back to dumbells for 4 sets doing candlestick raises for 15 reps with 6 supinated front raises.

Then we did bent over 1/4 pulses for 20 reps supersetted on the behind the neck press machine, only we faced the pad and did presses on it for 6 reps.

We did a few other things and called it a day :)
 
Chest day

Well I've ordered all the toys for my cut. The diet will kick in next week as will the cardio. I'm kind of amped up this time.

I used my HypX today 45 before training. I forgot just how good the stuff makes me feel when I'm tired and dragging.

Chest day
Started with 4 sets of 15 60lb machine flat presses.

Went to 25lb dumbell flyes for 15 reps.

Then we did 35lb dumbell bench press for 15 reps and 4 sets.

Then we did decline dumbell flyes at 35lbs for 10 reps.

Then did 15 rep dumbell pullovers for 4 sets.

Then I did 3 sets of 40 broomstick twists with crunches.

We did a few other chest exercises and she called me done. Now I still had plenty left in me which is rare. So it was a good day.

We discussed the Olympia training and I went to dinner.
 
i am blowing off cardio today for the first time in 2 weeks. just too tired from yesterdays workout. I need to start logging again just to track here on AM
 
Back day

This session made me and the guy I trained with sick.

We started with heavy dumbell single arm rows for 10 reps per arm for 4 sets.

Then we did single arm bent over cable pulldowns for 15 per arm at 40lbs supersetted with 6 100lb short arm pulldowns to the chest for 4 sets.

Then we did 110lb 15 rep seated rows to the chest reaching in to touch toes with the handle. Theses are where it all started to go queasy. It really was too much weight for me by that time in the training. However I sucked it up and did my 4 sets.

Then we did bent over barbell rows with a reverse grip for 15 reps and then did 15 barbell front shrugs for 4 sets.

Then we did 45lb between the leg barbell pullthroughs for 15 reps 4 sets.

I felt better with food afterwards!
 
I am glad for my Sat/Sun off training because I am sore. My shoulders especially hurt along with chest.

I plan to dig the treadmill out to get geared up for the weekend.

I seem to be fighting some body issues. It has been 3 months since I have had a period. I have done multiple pregnancy tests and they all are negative, plus my IUD is still in?!

I think that some of my being tired is tied up in that issue. I can get as much sleep at night as I need and still be tired by 3pm.
 
yeah, stress can cause that. I think some women would be happy to get to skip it for a while. They even sell that new birth control pill that does that, kind of end up with a period every 3 months

LOL well i don't miss it! But the only time I have ever been late and missed were my three kids. So it kind of messes with my head. It gets harder to keep using supps because I think well, what if I am...

I'm going to assume nothing I use could throw the tests and carry on as usual.
 
Has low body fat never been an issue with that before. I hear that happens when some women get near comp time and their bf is real low?
 
hmm well, its not like a change in hormone output of the IUD did it then. and yeah, its just about impossible to get pregrnant with a piece of copper touching the uterus. I'd say just still do a pregnancy test every 2-4 weeks to be on the safe side but mostly just be happy. And i'm sure Matt's happy too :D
 
Could be myriad reasons for lack of if it has been normal pre, including:
* Leanness - <12% BF
* Training - Too much too hard or overtraining
* Diet - Too much of an energy deficiency
* Stress
 
I did arm day Friday. I have just been to busy to update.

Today is my last day of indulgent diet and is the intro day to my clen/T3 combo for the O.

All in all I hope to get where I need to be in Sept.
 
I did 3~3.5 hours of canoeing today with my 13 year old. thats some painful cardio on top of painful leg day :)

Then I did 4 sets of leg curls with me in a push up stance and Nat sitting on my feet for 15 reps with 20 pop squats.

Then I did 4 sets of stripper pole squats at 25 reps.

Then I did 4 sets of wide legged deadlifts for 15 reps with 10 adducter reps.

Hit a few more things and then I did 30 min of cardio.

You're doing well. I'm looking forward to my week off. I've lost any motivation and desire to train as of yesterday and am just forcing myself to do it this week.
 
I took some pics of myself to use to start a log leading up to the O and they looked so bad I decided not to :( actually it was mostly the lighting really, dim lighting shows less definition so I looked even fatter than reality which blows. I may try again in a different room

I know how you feel. It won't be long for you and you can relax for a minute. When you come train over here with Sean it will perhaps make it slightly fun..:)
