Thanks brother!!! Just completely overwhelmed on so many different issues at once. Main focus is his health and keeping my wife stable. Just kind of numb to everything and going through the motions of the day.
Completely understandable, sometimes that is the only way to move forward when things are bad. Keep your head up!

Thanks bud, I am doing the best I can. Just hard to focus on any one thing right. **** is crazy.

I had the alarm set for some type of workout this morning at 3am as that always seems to make the day a bit better. I had to hit the snooze.

I got in the bed at 730pm last night to unwind cause we had torrential rains, I got 1 hour and 17 minutes total sleep last night from 730pm-430am.

Wheels are turning 5000mph.

Do you have any CBD, a good strong CBD product could help a lot with that. I am using RELAX right now from APEX and that has helped me the last couple of nights to sleep a bit better. Helps take some of the edge off.

I have some Kanna ease, not sure if I can go the cbd route due to day job randoms or if I have a safety issue they take us to a clinic. Not sure if cbd would throw a red flag or not

CBD would not but you would need to make sure you didn't get one of those mixed concoctions. No THC in CBD stuff unless it is a mix. Could probably just call a testing clinic to verify if you were worried about it.

Bro, Its hard to shut the mind down when you are a fixer!
Wish I had some advise other than tranquilizers. (Which I don't suggest) stay safe with the lack of sleep. you will crash! just make sure you are at home brother!

Had a decent evening, did some yard work on my property and had a workout with daughter playing softball. Positive note she did make a real travel team for fall ball this year. Out of 12 kids the team needed two players to fill there roster and she got a spot. So she is excelling very quickly with her skills. She is also off to new York today for a two day trip.

I got a good 6 hours of sleep last night but still had to hit the snooze on the 3am alarm for a workout.

Brought the truck and trailer with me today to try and get back to some normalcy after dayjob cutting grass.

We are going to get my son next Wednesday from SC and bring him back to MD for a few weeks, so that will definitely ease some stress and worry.

Awesome news on the Daughter! Travel Ball! are you ready?
Spent a lot of summers traveling around the states. My daughter loved it, got to see a lot of states she would have never seen otherwise. College ball is a lot different. I just show up to game when I can. they play a double header and I'm done. No all day at the fields anymore.
Luckily Oklahoma has some of the best national Invite tournaments in the country.

Be nice having the son close!

Yeah we are ready!! I don't know how my parents did it when we were coming up with travel. My brother and I were on an American Legion team and we were everywhere. Pretty much played in all the double and triple A stadiums on the east coast. We were gone every weekend in another state. Played Three rivers, Fulton County, and Camden yards. Brother was a pitcher and I was catcher.

We played out in Oklahoma in 95, cant remember exactly were but I know it was close to an Indian reservation. Went to world series in Fargo ND that year also.

Travel isn't like it was years ago, now its pretty much if the family can afford the 1500-2000$ fee your kid can be on the "travel" team.

The team she tried out for actually invited her to there tryout. They are established, have a 5 person coaching staff and have multiple facilities to train in during the bad weather

So this is nothing new to you. I was raised the same way, so when my kids did it it wasn't that big of a deal. My sons travel team had a sponsor that paid for all the players expenses.

Some of the indoor facilities are pretty sweet these days.

There are quite a few nice ball parks in Oklahoma (Tribal casino money)

Morning AM, just checking in with you all.

Been working all week as usual 50 hour day shift and knocking out two or three properties in the evenings when its not raining.

Got to hang down at the campground last night for a few hours and just be around people and socialize a little.

Been doing good with nutrition, not tracking anything but high protein, low carbs, low sugar choices. Seems to work good for me, I do throw a scoop of Daft pump in my thermos and sip on that all day. Definitely keeping a solid frame and pump .
20220729_062704.jpg

Here is a shot of dinner, nice big healthy meal

Son has his first CT scan today since being released so let's pray the bleeding has stopped and is gone.

Plan on working tonight, hanging at the camper, working tomorrow morning, be in the boat by noon for the day, and then finish the night at the campground.

We will get my son Wednesday back here to MD. If things go well and he feels up to it I'm gonna take him to the White Marlin Open the second week of Aug for his 21st bday. I'm sure its not what he had planned for his 21st, but hey it is what it is.

Trying to stay humble and deal with all this in a fatherly way. Just keeping myself together and keep the immediate family strong. Not only is it alot for my wife and I, but my other son and daughter just adore and look up to there big brother. They haven't really asked any questions or talked about his situation but I know its bothering them. They were with us in SC the while time, so they saw what we had to see. Im just trying to keep them as busy as possible.

Man 2022 has been a bitch!!!!

Everyone have a safe and productive weekend. These aren't just words to sound cool, or a catchy quote. But please take it from me and what I've been through this year. Slow down and even its 2 minutes, grab your loved ones one at a time and make sure they know how much you love them, how beautiful they are, how important they are.

I've learned very fast that nothing is promised today or tomorrow.

That looks like how I like to eat! Well done!

I agree with you about showing your loved ones affection every chance you get. We hug goodbye in my house every day and always say we love each other before leaving. Even if arguing or angry, we still do this because you never know when this time is the last time you will see someone you love alive. I have raised my children to do this as well. Having someone taken from you and having any fear they didn't know how much you loved them is horrible and more importantly completely avoidable.

My best friend who I grew up with in HS both of his parents died in a matter of 60 days.
It is sad to say my last moments with them were not the best way I would want to say goodbye because I did not know both of them would falter so fast out of the blue. It is crazy to think that at any given time it may be the "last time" you see friends or family even when you have no idea what the future holds.
Well said. Always make a lasting impression because you just never know what the future may hold. Mother nature is brutal sometimes and as you know "When it rains it pours" you can say that for anything in life.

What up AM family.

Checking in on a Friday afternoon. Thanks to everyone here for the prayers and concerns.

Son is doing great, he just returned to SC this past Tuesday. I had the whole family together for almost a full two weeks. I think we all realized we need to slow down. From me all the way down to my 12 year daughter. Spent alot of time on the beach and believe or not alot of time watching movies all night long into the early mornings watching the sunrise.

He hasn't made a full recovery but is in his way to a full recovery if he plays his cards right. He turned 21 last week so for any of you all that have a stud 21 year old male you know what im up against. He knows everything 🤠.

We are all back in good spirits but of course there are concerns of how he is going to take care of himself. He has to make good decisions.

Dam im sounding like my old man when I was 21, funny how this works i guess.

So trying to turn another page here in 2022. Lord please let this be my last suprise for a while or forever 🙏.

Again, thanks to you all and maybe, just maybe I can gwt back on the gain train very soon 👍🏻💪💯

What up AM family

Quick check in, things are going in the right direction for now. My sin is back in SC and has been able to get back on light duty but getting his hours. He is back in the gym just doing some PT rehab things.

Work is nuts as usual, the daughter is on the move now with travel ball and middle school team, and youngest son which is a senior this year is back in basketball.

I need to get my mind right and start focusing on nutrition and training asap. Once I can get in the right state of mind I will be fine. We are running about 18 hours a day with dayjobs, kids, and side hustles.

At the end of the day I can say we are all healthy at the moment and thats pretty much all I need at the moment

Morning AM, first and foremost
20220911_105413.jpg

Going to do some catching up with you all.

So had another curve ball thrown at me again.
You guessed it, other son involved this time but not near as bad as what I've dealt with, with the other two kids this year. Although this could have been horrible for him and I.

Two weeks ago we are cutting grass, my son comes to meet me in the evenings. We are parked on the side of the road working in a pretty rich neighborhood. He comes flying back in the yard im cutting, I have no idea whats going on. I take off running out front and see complete mayhem. Some dude came flying through the neighborhood and lost control of his vehicle, hit my sons parked car, went through a few ditches, ran through and electric box etc etc..... needless to say he totaled my sons car. Could have been worse, we could have been fueling up or even cutting the yards he went through. He could of wiped us out. The yards he drove through we had on the schedule that day, just hadn't got to them yet.

So there goes my sons wheels the Friday before his senior year started that Monday

We just settled this week with insurance but with the price of vehicles its gonna be hard to replace his whip. He is driving my new f350 at the moment which he is loving that but the diesel is killing us. Its a company truck and is supposed to making money not costing money.

Other son in SC is back to work doing great and back to driving my wife and I nuts so I guess thats a good thing.

Daughter is showing off on the travel team getting it done. Keeping her focused and busy. Going to be getting her guitar lessons soon. She is running us ragged but its all good.

Now off to BOSSMAN, im getting my **** together one day at a time. Excuse my French but fukk 2022. Gonna grind it out and pretty much take on whatever is thrown at me.

One day at a time at this point!!!!

Definitely can't catch a break! :(

Speaking of 9/11, my wife and I were out and about starting yesterday morning until yesterday evening. We say a guy with an American Flag standing on a bridge of an overpass at about 9am and on our way home at about 4pm he was still standing in the same spot holding the flag and it rained almost all day! High spirits with him!

Hope you can find the boy a decent replacement. It's an inconvenience for sure but could have been a lot worse. Happy for you that it was not. I am thinking about getting a Blackstone, or the Pit Boss version. Do you have to use a lot of oil on it?

Not really, just like they do in the restaurant I pretty much just make a smiley face with the oil under each food im cooking. Once its done, just scrape it clean and oil her up for the next batch.

Also, it depends on what your cooking too. For the rice ,yes you want oil. For the chicken, no. I use garlic butter. You catch my drift.

Main thing with the blackstone is keep it seasoned, when your done clean it and season it. Always put it away with something on the griddle to keep it moist. Keep it covered and protected. Water is your enemy. Rust will ruin the whole thing.

We did good with the car, we purchased it 10 years ago for 6k. We settled with insurance for 5400$.

So that sounds great and all, but the used car market is outrageous right now. We will work it out for him. He has been working two jobs all summer so with insurance, his money, my wife and I, and the grandparents he will be riding again real soon

Not to be judgmental or anything but he looked like a Gothic gamer type of guy. Overweight, pale skin, black bags under his eyes. He was 27 years old and was going home to his parents basement in the neighborhood. Once I got him out of his truck and made sure he was stable he must have called his parents . They were on the scene within five minutes.

The first thing out of his dads mouth to me was "I promise he isn't on drugs or alcohol, he is just getting off work". I asked the police if they were going to field test him but they said they didn't see any reason to. 🤷🏿‍♂️

I noticed his lanyard around his neck and his id, he actually is a new teacher at my sons high school. I asked him if he was a teacher at Lackey high school amd he said yes. I said well my sin is a senior this year so you all will get to see each other alot this year. He is a Gump, I could tell he was terrified of the situation, and my son and I cause we were quite pissed at the time.

My son says the dude says hi to him everyday at school 🤠
