"People think they can look like me if they take a pill.. c'mon, you gotta be smarter than that." - Christian Boeving (former supplement company spokesman) in 'Bigger, Stronger, Faster'
Hmm. How depressing is that statement. You mean to tell me I can't really look like this guy if I just pound the Hydroxycut? Alas, my illusions have been shattered..
You can see my strategy here of a more carb-loaded first half of the day, and a more fat-loaded & higher protein back half of the day..
On my 2x weekly higher-carb days, I'll utilize things like bananas, sweet potatoes, and brown rice. Other than that, as I said Ezekiel grains mainly constitute the carbs, and grapefruit is my fruit of choice..
Yes, this is an aggressive approach. I'm lean enough at this point that, in a perfect scenario, I wouldn't have to make such strict changes, and that is probably the better approach.. however, I'm on a mission here, and the the fact that I want to get the leanest & most peeled & driest of my life puts me on the fast track.
I'm ready for the challenge!
Naringin, and its novel component Naringenin, also exert extensive effects within the P-SARM Synthase AI complex. Naringin (and Naringenin) exhibit remarkable aromatase and estrogen-inhibiting properties by decreasing the cytochrome P450arom isoform, an enzyme that also allows for the oxidative metabolism for chemical modification and degradation of oral medications. This can have very positive effects on the T:E ratio, and the combination of OPCs and Naringenin can be potentially additive or synergistic in eliminating estrogen, and allowing for more circulating free testosterone and all of its benefits!!! Naringin and Naringenin have also been shown to have profound effects on the metabolism of caffeine and PDE5 inhibitors such as Icariin, allowing for these compounds to be much more effective on a per dose basis- by up to 35%!!!
YESSS! Totally feel ya there.. that mentality can be detrimental tho - one definitely needs their grow time!
I hate cardio (have I said that in here already???).. More power to ya if you can hang with the treadmill. Uggh.
My wife got one for Christmas. I think I'll hit it tomorrow. :sigh:

I love cardio, lucky me, I run 3x/week; ~1hr30min each session. Sometimes I stretch it to 2 hours. I can think of million things that are MUCH, MUCH worse than running for that long. Most compelling one: laying in a hospital bed for five days with my knee busted open all the way down to the knee cap. Waiting for surgery. Getting shots of morphine just to get through the day. Not being able to walk. NOT BEING ABLE TO RUN. END OF STORY.
Hmm.. so that's why ZAP & the Diesel Test are so effective for me - I'm a grapefruit eating machine!
Grapefruit is also high in Vit C, and a good source of potassium as well.. Also, grapefruit stimulates the appetite and is used for its digestive, stomachic, antiseptic, tonic, and diuretic qualities...
Thanks for that info & links!
AH but of course, how could I forget Invalid Link Removed, thanks Snag !
WOW. :box: You are on another level D!
Man, those smileys really tickle me!
BTW - you mentioned earlier you were catching up from the start of this log.. if it makes you feel any better, your task is much easier than is mine catching up with yours!![]()
Hey man, to have somebody with your first-hand experience in nutrition and training on board with a protocol is verification enough! The knowledge of science is one thing, but knowing what works, is equally as important; and when we combine them, we receive fantastic results.
Thanks as well, and I appreciate the point you have reiterated here: Altho there is some science/supplementation behind the results, in Natural-Land, there are no short cuts, no quick fixes, no overnight sensations, as you are aware.. altho we hit periods of quick recomp (as our body is set in motion days earlier by the things we do w/ diet, etc.), there is no quick route to severe body reconfiguration, no way to overnight vascularity, no way to overnight growth -- despite what ones genetic predisposition may be.. It is a process; consistent, sustained, dedicated...'cause I was actually hoping you could tell me what pill do I take to get a back&shoulders like this:
Thanks for that DW!
And D-Fly:

I know you have realized this first hand, I just point this out for others following along..
Awesome job, Mullet and Snag! I turn up here once in a while, and I am simply blown away! :run:

Coming from you Strag, that is quite the compliment!
Wow...what an informative and insightful thread!! I feel like I'm really being schooled up in here!! Thanks for the lessons Professors Snag and Mullet. I have never enjoyed school so much!! :type::study:
In the words of Homer Simpson, "DOH!!" :frustrateI hear the applicable tuition fees are due end-January!
Not at all D, not at all. You have some tremendous knowledge, and utilize some awesome supplementation strategies. I'm still working my way thru your log, so I don't know the whole progression yet, but you obviously are one dedicated individual!
In reference to your cardio posting -- welllll.. I will say that I stand by my stance that too much cardio will chew up/inhibit muscle gains. This is a no-doubter. But I tread lightly here, lest I face the wrath of the DragonFly! :run:
Mentally tho, there is that 'runner's high', the same type of 'high' I get within my weight training sessions.. so I can relate, and I do not criticize!

Class is in session. Everyone pipe down and pay attention!!
Ketchup? No, it's catsup.Damn Dave.. you use a freaking telescope lense on that cam or what?? That pic's ginormous!
Is that ketchup on those eggs? :nono: I haven't had ketchup on eggs since I was like 12yrs old. We used to have these big brunches on the w/e - eggs, corned beef hash, Lenders onion bagels w/ cream cheese.. ketchup over all the hash & eggs.. was the bomb. Ahh, fond memories.
I used to be a ketchup/egg guy too...now I slather them with Green Tabasco or salsa.
Salsa and Tabasco go along way in making things tasty!! Snag, is it ok if I pm a question to you?
hey snag & mullet and everyone else knowledgeable in this thread...whats your take on taking just leucine versus all the BCAA?
alright thanks. I grabbed some VS liquid BCAA and its pretty tart. Just curious as to your take on that. Not a fan of this personally. I think I addressed this earlier in here..
Leucine is only part of the equation of the BCAA profile. Muscle tissue has been defined by the 2:1:1 ratio; this is why it is the preferred ratio in almost every player on the market. I'm experimenting with higher leucine to iso/valine ratios right now, but my preference would be the proper balance I believe.
Agreed; and I know I've seen 4:1:1 played with, but the tried and tested 2:1:1 will work. Not a fan of this personally. I think I addressed this earlier in here..

I like salsa immensely. Put a bit of that on my eggs sometimes, especially if I'm having straight egg whites (without the customary 2 yolks in it), some killer added flavor for sure.

Man, this thread blew up while I was gone...
You guys can start talking about boobs and poop and stuff now that I'm back.
Going to be using this alot, seeing as how I can't flip omelets anymore. Scrambled eggs with ketchup, or a monolayer like (B is in honour or borobulker's Melog)
I blame AM's lack of multi quoteYou guys & your editing.. this wasn't there before was it?
Looks good man! (better than DG's pic :stick: hahaa bro, j/p..)
Looks like I started something with the condiment art..
...Berberine, very interesting add..
There are certain constituents of the Phellodendron, in certain standardizations, which are GABAergic agonists. By the looks of the part [one of many] of the formula which Berberine is in, that may be its purpose.
