Big Boys throw down to lean out (Sponsored by Need to Build Muscle's N2 Burn.

If a older woman going after younger men is called a Cougar, then is an older man going after younger men called a Nittany Lion? LOL sorry I know it is wrong but you know it is funny.

Yesterday was supposed to be leg day but that did not happen as I had too much other things going on. Tomorrow is an off day so things kick back in on Tuesday. Unless I decide to make up the leg day tomorrow. Hmm Maybe.

11-13-11

Cardio day. I have been working in the yard. Using a brush cutter cutting things out of my 2 acres. then raking, mulching and using blower. Was out there for almost 3 solid hours. Here it is 1:30 and I haven't broken my fast yet. Simply because I was busy. Time to eat now. lol.

LOL I asked a certain someone to come on over and help work in my yard, his name was Rick. Albeit he lives in another state he politely said not no but hell no. Tv and relaxation was more important than working in my yard. LMAO... What a friend he is. Sheesh.... Just messin with you Rick. Oh and those words were changed up just a tad. He did not actually used those words I had to ab-lib a little. LMFAO...

Ok, gonna get rolling with MC 7, Training maxes for this MC: OH BB Press -180 (These are strict form, down to or just above my chest with no "push" from the hips) Deads - 420, Bench -285 (Same as last MC due to shoulder rehab), Squat -420. Also, started with 2g Milk Thistle today in prep for the PH Run starting next week. Once we start that, will be 4g/day. Had a moment of weakness in the wee hours of this morning, the wife brought home about a dozen bakery fresh breakfast rolls, ate up a big ole' bearclaw/fritter around 4 AM. Given that, figured I had better get off my ass today.

Day 1, wk1 (MC7)

Standing OH BB Press - 125x5, 135x5, 155x8

Seated OH DB Press @65's 8/8/5 @45x12 Burn down (Seem to have lost a lot with these, possibly because I have not done them in a month, or maybe because I went 90's on the adjustable bench with no "lean back")

Wide Grip BB Front Raise (Had to see where I was at with these) 30x12, 40x12, 50x12

Face Down Inc. Rear Delt Raise @20's
15/15/12

Nautilus Lat Raise Machine
110x12, 140x15

Standing Alt DB Curl
35x15, 40x12/12

Wide Grip BB Curl @70
15/15

Overall, the shoulder felt pretty good. Tomorrow morning will tell the tale.

Followed up with 28 minutes of 5 stage hills cardio - 140 cals.

Dietary for today: 2154 cals (88 carbs, 237 protein [plus 36g bcaa], 88 fats) with an estimated burn of 4144 for a deficit of 1960.

LMAO!! Funny part is that my wife was on me for getting OUR yard work done, but I told her I wasnt doing anything this weekend. I have a ton of leaves to rake up, but playing video games seemed like a better idea....lol

Maybe I'm just being slow here... but what is Nittany? Not quite getting it!

I feel ya Bro, I have been spending 2hrs each night getting our new house/apt. that Morry helped us move into last weekend straight and in order. I get up around 6am go to the gym (about an hour away, but right next to work, literally) and after working out I work from 10am til 8pm, then because traffic is much better it is only a 45min right home, so from 9pm -11pm working on little things around the house, then crash, so I have been working, working, working non-stop. Oh and the wife, hahahha, she is off on Mondays and Thursdays and Tue, Wed, & Fri, Sat she works the morning shift 10am-2pm, then back again from 5pm-10pm, so she sleeps all the way til she gets up for work, then comes home and takes a nap and when she gets home at 10pm and I'm working around the house she is wayyyy too tired to help me, her exact words are... "I worked all day, I'm tired!" and on her days off Mon & Thu, she gets up around 10am and goes to her parents house all day, the only thing she has been doing good is our washer/dryer isn't working so she will take and do all the dirty laundry while at her parents house! So I understand not wanting to do anything for a whole weekend, believe me, I know!!!

In Short... Feeling Ya Rick!!!

PS. Good thing for me I got Morry to help us move last weekend, this past Saturday he was horseback riding with his girl and thrown from a horse that he was riding that he was not used to and fractured 3 ribs, had to go to the hospital and all, he's home now, basically resting and recovering! I posted something about it in his log, I think everyone should stop in his log and wish him a fast recovery, might be a few days to a week before he gets back online, but he will!

Penn State Nittany Lions. Google Jerry Sandusky Doc. (UGH)

Nevermind... Duh, I've been hearing and reading up on all that for this past week, I should have caught that, somehow it just flew right over my head! LoL, good one Jeff, sorry I ruined it with my dumb question (or lack of connecting the dots).

Yeah... I get that with my wife as well, because every time we are out together, depending on how I'm dressed, because no one looks at me with my baggy nutrition store shirt and jeans on, but if I'm wearing one of my more form-fitting polo's I get looked at and she gets insecure, not to mention all her co-workers (guys & gals) at the Mexican Restaurant she works at have made huge comments about my recomposition. I think it may have turned into a positive though, I took her with me to the gym this past Sunday morning before I got my daughter, had to make up my missed Saturday workout, anyway, I ran her through a solid full upper-body workout, 1 exercise per body part, 4 sets per exercise at 25 reps per set and she did it, she is very sore today, but hey she did it and wants to wake up early and go to the gym again tomorrow, I told her if she just works out full body workouts 3-4 days a week and does cardio for 1 hour staying in the slower fat-burning zone 2-3 days a week, then she can achieve the fitness level she desires, but to actually achieve the look she wants, I told her it is not currently possible with her eating habits!

Yea, hopefully this weekend when I go to the gym (a real gym not my home gym), she can catch the bug. She wants to get lean, she just doesn't want to put in the work (Like most ppl).

Yes Sirrr, everyone is just waiting for them to come out with that "Magic Pill" that just cannot and will not ever exist!

11/14/11 Day 2, wk 1 MC 7
5:35-6:40 (Preceeded by 9 min cardio warm up)

Deads - 275x5, 315x5, 365x4 (Disappointed in this, I usually hit 7-9 reps on my 85%days, just wasn't feeling it.

Assisted Wide Grip Pull Up @200lbs
10/10/8 (Good Full ROM)

BO Med Grip BB Rows 210x10, 230x8, 235x8 (Been a while for these, felt good, tight form)

Romanian DL's @235 10/10/10 Lower back felt better doing this, another one I have not broke out in a while.

Will hit cardio and lower abs tomorrow. The above session kicked my ass!

Dietary for today: 2306 cals (98 carbs, 220 protein [plus 24g BCAA], 115 fats) with an estimated burn of 4123 for a deficit of 1817. (This is give or take 140 cals and 26g of protein as I am unsure if I used one or two scoops of protein in my Post WO Shake consumed on my drive home)

STRONG workout. Man I don't think I can do romans that heavy. And my Bent Over Rows are more of a speed movement. Though I plan on using my pendalays for speed and switching up my bent over for more "Accessory" regardless thats some serious work! Keep KILLING IT MAN!!

Need 2 Burn Final Review

After about 24 days taking this stuff at 4 tabs/day most days, here are my results and impressions.

Started at 275, 3 point caliper total of 34 MM. Finished at 270 with 3 point caliper of 29, so that is significant. My PCT was so effective that I continued to gain mass and strength after running RS Trans so this was more of a recomp. I did note the emergence of some new veins in my forearms and biceps when I arose in the morning when I was at my driest, another indication of a successful leaning.

Here are my marks on a scale of 1-10 for this product:

Energy 9/10. Was smooth and steady with no spikes for the most part. Focus also was good, not just in the gym but also at work. Although I am sure the NTBM staff would not advise this, I also noted that I would really "crank **** up" after my afternoon dose mixed with a scoop or two of my fave PWO.

Appetite Control : 8/10. Overall was very good for about 6 hours post ingestion. Early one there was almost some very slight nausea until I adjusted to this supp, not too bad, just a bit queezy for the first 3-4 days.

Fat Reduction/Burning: 8/10 See the account of the numbers in the 2nd paragraph above for the detail. Over all, once I dialed in the diet, things went very well.

Overall, this is a solid product that does what I expect from a stim based thermogenic: Increases energy, decreases appetite and appears to increase fat mobilization. Well done NTBM, well done indeed. Would buy with my own cash.

NICE REVIEW. I think transaderm helps us get back to a more "Normal" state after dieting so long. Like it corrects some upstream hormones or something for a little while. Though I am not sure at all if it is so, I have noticed continued strength and just feeling better. Not as good as when I was on it but better. Also.. DOMS have returned... hah. Oh well.

Good stuff Taman. Now lets get lean!

Well today was very interesting. I woke up from one hell of a dream. And did not break my fast until 2 pm due to being so busy at work. All I had was 4 oz of Chicken and 1/2 oz of peanuts no carbs. Had aggression all day as well as in the gym and really don't know why. Tonight's workout is a make up day from this past Saturday.

Let me ask you guys something. Given my disappointment with the way things went tonight, I am considering rehitting my week 1 numbers next week when I start the EPI/1 Andro/RS Trans run. This way, I will not be "deloading" durng the 4th week but my body will not take a beating like it would if I just skipped the deload and bumped everthing 5-10 pounds like a new cycle. When I ran 5aOHP, I went straight from week 3, back to week 1 with the increases in weight of a new MC with out a deload and this is when my shoulder issue really began to get irritated.

Man Jeff that is one long A$$ sweat busting, intense workout... Do we have any progress pics? #'s? ;)

The one good thing about being "on" is you don't need deloads (supposedly), I wouldn't deload unless you really think you need one. Or if your numbers on week 3 aren't looking like they are progressing. Epi will give you some strength though so I assume the top end output of your lifts will go up. See how you feel on week 3 and adjust. I find that on cycle... deloading... is not necessary... but I'm an overtraining addict...

If you want my honest opinion I would just move forward. We are all going to have good days in the gym and bad days as well. You have done a great job on the weight loss so far Just make small modification as needed you could destroy this contest if you set your mind to it.

Nope No pics yet. I can say this I feel leaner but i have actually gained 4 lbs. Might be because of the PCT I am running also. While I was doing the squats I noticed for the first time softness on the skin around the abdomen area. Not very pleased by that but it also tells my i am losing some fat in that region. At least I hope I am. I have ran the N2 Burn with 2 pills in the morning as well as two in the morning and two in the afternoon. And to be honest I don't feel any difference. I can say the only thing I have noticed is in the morning when I take it still fasted it is a really good suppressant and helps me not think of being hungry. Other than that the energy tapered of after the first two weeks or so. I have the same amount of energy when I was taking only vitamins. It could be that i have always had a high tolerance to fat burners and many supplements as well as pain medication.I normally have to take a very high dose of medication to just feel the edge. It never really helps. Same thing with this fat burner. I won't say it does not work. Because everyone gets different results. Now one thing I have done as of this week is started cardio back up. I have not done it consistent for the last few months.

I gotta say bro I've been pitting on the AM cardio and the PM lift and I'm definitely seeing better and faster results, and with the Epi-V well Sh!t is melting off of me. I guess what I'm saying is...that cardio is gonna go a long way for you especially with those numbers you are putting up in the weight room...go get it my brotha!

Loud and clear. I have the tread mill ready to go I just have to get my lazy ass up in the morning and get it done.

NSAIDS are rough on the liver and kidneys... sux having to be on them. Ever try natural anti inflammatories?

Congrats on the loose skin near the belly. I remember those days. I knew I was gettin leaner because my skin was "hanging" more :D

I'm sure you're doing great w/o pics. Just asking :)

I'm actually gonna start doing more of a program like this. And taper down my Judo to 1-2 times a week. Going 3 times was just too much, specially stacked with weight training.

The cardio will help burn off anything extra and prevent any fat gain I feel. And as long as you keep it a reasonable amount (no more than 60mins a day), you shouldn't burn off much, if any, muscle mass.

It's all about the skin chub getting small lol. Just hope it doesn't get so loose that it won't tighten up. On another note what are you talking about in the bolded area above? I try not to take any antibiotics or inflammatory. Because they don't do anything for me. Would rather deal with a little pain or uncomfortableness than take them.

The high amounts of pain killers you said you had to take to feel the effects, was just wondering if you have considered natural/herbal anti inflammatory supps. they are probably better than any OTC drug for pain. Just a suggestion. :D

No I have not tried any natural/herbal anti inflammatory. Never really considered it. Next time I have to use something I may look into it just to see how it would work.

Thanks for the tip. Would you happen to have any suggestions?

Currently, no. But I am looking around for some good research on herbal nsaids. I know Ginger-ol is supposed to be really good, along with heavy dose fish oil. Not that I need them, I just think that we as a whole are using too much tylenol and aspirin. More than we should be. I for have ... and unknowingly probably caused much unneeded pain and damage to my insides haha. I'll keep you posted though if i do find anything good. And I will probably test it as well ;)

If you find yourself getting stim resistant then I would suggest Revamp, it really does work and it's nicely priced as well... people who use stimulants should always have some on hand IMO...

I understand where you are coming from, but I deload mostly for joint issues more than muscle recovery. My thought is if I run it like I proposed above, I will be hitting my heavy (95%) week on week 3 of the cycle, but then again, I do not want to "waste" week 4. Hmmmmmm, gonna have to chew on this a bit.

Going to run 4 pills per day to finish this bottle off. And then give it my opinion. This log should remain open and updates as it was intended to be a big boy challenge. Lol

Kept it pretty tight today. Just the drive to work then 35 minutes of variable resist cardio at 80/90/100%, 6 minute stages with a 60 sec sprint at the end, one minute drop down after each stage. Burned an estimated 178 cals on that one according to the machine. Anyways, dietary for today: 2020 cals (86.5 carbs, 220 protein [plus 18 g bcaa], 79 fats), estimated burn of 3580 for a deficit of 1560.

Had plenty of aggression all day. I think I might have figured out why I have been using the bathroom much more than normal. I think there is some Cheyenne Pepper in the N2 Burn. I know when I take the pills there is a taste that I just can't figure out what it is.

I agree!!!

I sampled a bottle of REVAMP and it really did work for me and quickly. I even got my wife a bottle and again...it worked! I have a bottle in my cabinet for the next time. Really is good stuff!

Man Jeff you are killing it! I need to get on with my cardio... lol

Thanks Matt. Cardio is going ok. Trying to do it the smart way. Give myself some room for change instead of an all out attack.
