I have to write a paper for my college philosophy class. It has to be a paper criticizing some sort of crazy theory or conspiracy. Any books do you know of that that could easily be criticized?

Did someone say philosophy paper?!?!? :D :D :D

For the right price... ;)

Haha i dont want to pay, i want to do it myself. And i ant use the 911 conspiracy, the teacher said its off limits

Fine. I didn't want to do it for you anyway! :nutkick:

Just kidding. Though, I guess I am a dork. I miss writing papers. Perhaps that's why my average post word count is somewhere around 400 wds. :)

Ideas..hmmm.... I have plenty of arguments, but since I gave up reading books in 2000, I've got no good suggestions for literature.

Good luck! :)

the cia, goverment and the creation of aids is a pretty interesting conspiracy theory to research and write about.

do a paper on subsidized corn and goverment control of food supplies in the US or corporate insurance policies for "dead peasants".

Someone was watching "Capitalism: A Love Story".

Or... you could link corn production for ethanol and gov't subsidies to farmers to increased beef and milk prices, citing the fact that ethanol lowers fuel efficiency and power in vehicles and does nothing but 'water down' the gasoline. Link it to the increased price of why protein, too!

Good topic. You could just write about the theory of Socialism and point to the USSR, Europe, Greece, and now the US as examples of why it doesn't work. :)

Couldn't resist.

There is probably some book that claims Angelina Jolie is the anti-christ. Probably not too far off. I'd search for that.

But seriously, there probably is...

Illuminati is definitely a good thought, but probably overdone for this class.

What about the recent BP oil spill? - There is no doubt that it was largely due to goverment legislation, and new light is being shed on that. Our govt' is a POS trying to make BP fall on the sword and push their Green-agenda.

Here ya go...

How about criticizing the theory that public sector workers make less than private sector workers? Its an easy one, with good data from the US Dept of Labor, showing that although their base pay is slightly lower, their benefits are far greater, and they work on average 20% less hours per week than private sector workers.

Another possible one is the theory that unions help workers. If you look at historical data, employment has dropped in the union held areas, while rising in the non-union ones....

I like the first idea. No, wait, I don't. Well, maybe!! :)

Local Gov't worker - (me)
Salaried (won't say how much)
Paid benefits, all but dental
Work M-F, 9am-4pm, hour paid lunch
6yrs on the job - 18 V & S days/year, 3 Personal - Sick days rollover

However... I'd still like to have more money in the bank. My salary, when compared to comparable positions, is pretty dang sucky. :( Not being greedy, just sayin'.

Eh, screw it. Do a paper on Zombies!! Invalid Link Removed

Do something involving the cia. PLENTY of topics there..

this^^ just don't do too good of a job(looks around for cia bugs, spies and hidden cameras:)

great topics here.the second one is a really interesting topic as I know of quite a few unions that are pretty much jokes and only aid the higher ups in charge and do very little for the ones the union is suppose to be for in the first place.
