Product reaction: nothing truly new to report, however I notice that healing and recovery are getting better and quicker each day. This is something that may not be as noticeable to most but coming into this with a messed up shoulder and feeling confident enough in how it feels to push heaviest weights in four months. I think that says something.

Hunger staying strong as well. Strength keeps increasing but that beast like feeling is ever apparent as each day goes by.

Interesting about the SAD, is there anything to take for it? Also, are you on any medication for your arthritis, or does it only flair up on occasion?

I was on an anti depressant a ways back but stopped it bc I really didn’t like the way I felt on it and determined it was no better than the depression itself lol. And I’ve been able to manage it with working out but if I ever get a real job again where I don’t have all mornings to fight it and get to the gym I’ll prob have to hop back on it. No nonmed for the arthritis as it really on flairs up when it’s a combo of dampness and cold. Once it gets arctic there’s aches but not like the past few days at all. Doc gave me muscle relaxers which seem to be helping

I feel good about you guys this year. I think in 2014(?), you guys went 9-7. Really close to a playoff slot but the AFC North went beast mode and somehow got three teams in that year.

Yeah that was the closest we’ve been since jps rookie year when all we had to do was beat the Steelers backups(they rested starters) last game if the year. We all felt good and then Willie Parker who nobody heard of st that time happened

Well one year older and for about fifteen minutes this morning I think I actually felt older. But then I realized it was still last night and that damn game was still on.

But seriously it’s kind of odd how you can feel one way and then the next morning actually feel older. I mean it’s one day, the passage of time that takes place is minuscule at best and yet due time some obligatory rules, we are a day older and thus should feel as such. So years of this ideology being pounded into our brains it somehow permeates our sense of being and hence we actually feel older, we see grey hairs and forget they were there yesterday, we may ache a little from the workout we had two days ago and forget all about that thing known as doms and conclude it’s old age seeping in. We feel this way but our Select group of ppl don’t let it stand in our way, we pity ourselves for fifteen minutes as we drink our morning joe and then we look in the mirror and say fucc this ain’t the body of no 43 year old, hell no. So we take our pre and go to the gym, kick some weights ass, be surrounded by 20 something girls and feel right at home.

Ok enough philosophical musings...

I just said screw it and went for it today. I figured birthday pr’s has to be a thing, right? Well 345 was previous and I just skipped by 19 pounds. I got it, sort of, depth was about 1/2 inch or so from parallel, I’m counting it but definitely can be way better.

2x3 135,225. 315x1. Lol. I did the same thing as with the squats. 370 was and is current sumo pr, but I just went ahead and went for four plates. I didn’t pull it but I moved it lol. Which is better than any other time I took a shot at it.

First off some stats and observation:

Gained 1 lb through 3 weeks. I upped cals to 600 over and above this week but never got to 700 over yet stayed within 600-700 everyday. Perhaps it’s a combination of things but tbh my metabolism isn’t solid, I get fat easily. But for some reason I’m eating and eating and not gaining like I have on bulks before and in fact I think I’m looking leaner overall. This isn’t a bad thing. I knew there’d be a feeling out process and really isn’t that what logs are for getting as much info as possible. So I’m convinced chemical x allows the body to process calories at a highly increased rate. I know that may be somewhat counter to it being a bulking agent, but in fact all ph and others can work for whatever u use it as, it’s all about calories in. So I’ve learned that I need to up the cals again this week and see what that brings. I’m going with 800 surplus. Today however I’m at 1900 over lol

Strength is definitely increasing in both the low and high rep ranges. Doms is greatly reduced compared to how it normally is. Mood is elevated to some extent and like I mentioned I’m seeing a bit of a leaning out in certain areas which speaks to what it can do for composition in general.

Today I hit up a second chest day and it was a blast.

Db bench-I used an alternating ladder scheme with limited rest, 45 between 10 rep and 6, 1 min between 6 and 10,here and absolutely loved it.

45x10,90x6,55x10,80x6,65x10,70x6,75x10,60x6

Incline bb. I altered this lift from the traditional by bring bar down to chest and slowly sliding it back up to throat area and then exploding on the concentric portion. About a min rest.

Bb floor press

Definitely saw some strength gains in this lift. Last week I believe I only hit 135 for 7 reps.

Db pullover 5x10 30,50,70,90,110

Had to get a spotter for the 110.

Db incline fly 3x10 with pauses at top squeeze and at extension. 10,15,25lbs

Was only going to finish with 20’s but the three sets of them were nowhere to be found.

Finished with some crunches and leg raises.

Now to the part y’all been waiting for:

Mousaka. Each of these pieces is roughly 600 calories

First bottle will be finished on Sunday. As I mentioned b4 I’ve upped my cals to 800 surplus this week and I’ve begun to see the scale moving up the past cpl days. As far as gains go, well I feel way bigger, my strength is definitely better, but I don’t see it in the mirror despite numerous ppl come by up to me at the gym saying I look way bigger. Will post next edition of progress pics this weekend.

Well what a difference a night makes. I said I hadn’t really noticed the gains personally yet last night. Today I’m staring at myself all day long in mirrors and windows. I hate being that guy, but man my shoulders traps arms connection looks massive today. Can’t wait to see what a few more days will be for those comparison pics this weekend

Yep got the bands a cpl weeks back and been using them in workouts. Still finding out which exercises they work best on.

The science behind them is that you’re allowing the arterial blood flow into the working muscles but the bands prevent the bloods exit. So all that blood pools in the muscle creating a stupid pump. They’re supposed to increase muscle growth with low weights.

Basically by using them you’re working low weight high reps but are getting similar results to working heavy low reps without putting extra load on joints.

They hurt like hell though. And u gotta make sure u don’t have them too tight. I made that mistake with calves and after set was done looked down and my one calf was turning blue.

I bought them bc I read a lot of research on them and almost all had positive findings related to their effectiveness on muscle growth.

Still playing around with them. This lift may end up being a game changer, or it could just be another novelty that was cool at first but ends up sitting in your trunk. For me this is what happened to slingshot and fat gripz.

I have done blood flow restriction before and the pumps are insane. My biceps would hurt for hours afterwards

The one I have for arms is beast, but it’s got clips which I guess should last longer but if u get it tight enough it pinches the skin which sucks.

The legs and calves is bigger obviously made using Velcro bfr is the brand and works great. Only prob will be like with all Velcro products that stuff tends to go, hopefully later rather than sooner bc they r good bands.

In all I got the arms for about 16 and that was actually for 2 sets. The legs were 26 so about 40 for everything. They’re r way more expensive ones and really cheap ones too. Amaz...just do a search and a few pages will pop up.

But the bfr ones r good imo, beast works but u will wind up pinching yourself.

The one I have for arms is beast, but it’s got clips which I guess should last longer but if u get it tight enough it pinches the skin which sucks.

The legs and calves is bigger obviously made using Velcro bfr is the brand and works great. Only prob will be like with all Velcro products that stuff tends to go, hopefully later rather than sooner bc they r good bands.

In all I got the arms for about 16 and that was actually for 2 sets. The legs were 26 so about 40 for everything. They’re r way more expensive ones and really cheap ones too. Amaz...just do a search and a few pages will pop up.

But the bfr ones r good imo, beast works but u will wind up pinching yourself.

Nothing much new to report but scales moving up, just have to keep the cals higher than I though which is a testament to the food processing this product does. Up 2 lbs this week so far see what we get by Saturday.

Also muscles feel full as heck. I started getting this beast feeling early in and that most certainly has not left, in fact it’s ramped up in terms of the visual mindset is coming closer to that inner feeling.

Legs calves today.

Did t feel like going heavy at all today. My low back is way better than even yesterday but it still wasn’t where I wanted it. So I played around today.

Kinda a weird movement but I do enjoy it. Just wish I wouldn’t hit my butt at the end of each rep. Perhaps I just need a smaller butt lol

Ok now a little rant.

Ppl in buffalo have no clue how to do drive in crap weather. You’d think bc it’s freakin buffalo that ppl wouldn’t get freaked out every time it rains hard but nope, had some free time after dinner and went out to get my dad a bday gift but had to turn around bc it was like the apocalypse out there. Insane with wrecks, sirens, ppl swerving around. I have no tolerance for this crap. Can’t wait for that first snowfall. It’ll b blissful I’m sure. But sucks even more is that I was gonna get some donuts on the way home. Totally uncool.

Mom made some pasta ***ioli. It’s basically a bean soup with ground beef. Pretty damn tasty too.

55’s were gone. So just hit the 60’s. I was just going for a crazy pump here. 30 sec rest in between

Flys on the abduction machine. 3x12 130,140,145
