1st Nitrate Warning?

Ok, got an email from Usp Labs. Yok3d an Arginine nitrate has been released but there's a warning that says do not mix this with any other nitrate products. Now you know some folks can't wait to try this with APS creatine nitrate.

Anyone out there with scientific data regarding acceptable nitrate levels for Human beings ( not rats)?

There is such a a thing as to many nitrates. As I am sure this is just a liability warning on the label, I would just gauge for yourself. If you plan to take both, check your BP.

Like Adams said...too many nitrates can be dangerous, hence they say on the label to not mix with others. Maybe you wont need creatine nitrate with yok3d, you could do yok3d and creatine mono or yok3d and jack3d

I agree, caution and monitoring would be key since we have entered the
"Age of Nitrates" arginine, bcaa, creatine (which I'm lovin ). Who knows what's next!!

Since Yok3d is a prop blend, we can only guess the amount of nitrates. I have used Creatine Nitrate(approx 320mgs of nitrates) and BCAA(225mgs of nitrates) nitrates together with no problems ~~~~however others will exp changes in bp and headaches with as little as 225mgs. I doubt USP is going to give an actual "amount" that they deam as safe

Nitrates are often prescribed for high blood pressure and related heart diseases.

I'd also avoid mixing and matching powders, especially those containing vitamins/minerals. NO3 is a pretty potent oxidizer, which may result in some toxic byproducts just by mixing in a shaker.

Its funny because the MAIN source of nitrates comes from DRUM ROLL....... Your OWN saliva and green veggies!!!! we are talking a huge amount. Human saliva is very very rich in nitrates. The whole scare about them originally came from observational studies linking processed meat to cancer. Problem is association does not mean causation and they were trying to find the meat/cancer because meat is falsely seen as the devil of nutrition. Anyways the argument holds no water and goes against our own biology.

I dont think it would be detrimental to take Yok3d with lets say half dosed C-bol or half dosed Pump-bol, to be quite honest it looks pretty damn low dosed, probablly about 260mg of Nitrates. Where as a daily serving of C-bol has around 640mg Nitrates i believe, so definitly on the low side IMO.

I would go with Creatine Nitrate, Arginine has shown to be pretty useless.

By itself, Arginine has been shown useless for N.O. production, however Arginine should help people from building up a large nitrate tolerance, unlike creatine nitrate, so in that aspect Arginine Nitrate may be superior.

I know 1000mg of Nitrates isn't near as effective as 2250mg. We have Vit.C added in our creatine nitrate, that helps from building up a tolerance as well.

^^^^ This! How many times must we be duped by arginine?! ARGH!

It'd be much better to use creatine nitrate and throw in some bulk arginine if you're worried about tolerance, it's much cheaper. Vitamin C works too for that as well (which is already in APS Creatine Nitrate I believe).

The way I look at it is value per serving. With APS I can get 25 servings for ~$25-30. Yak3d I get 17 servings (need 4-5 caps), and costs $30.

For the IC release, I don't care much for Jack3d, so that's no bonus for me...

Oh, and the worry about nitrates/nitrites in supplemental form is a joke. As it has been pointed out, green vegetables have WAY more nitrates/nitrites than these supplements if you're eating normal servings of greens.

Has there been any research regarding the storage of creatine nitrate?

I've not looked into this compound, but it raises some concerns in terms of storage/stability.

My concern would be that the nitrate salt makes the compound incredibly hygroscopic. An unstable anion in combination with an unstable amino acid and excess moisture...

So what would the repercussions be with this? And did you mean:hydroscopic?

or you could just stack creatine nitrate and mesomorph which have already proven themselves with lots of great logs and reviews. these are the nitrate products i have been and will continue to use!!!!

Creatinine and nitrites.

I think you mean hygroscopic.

glycerol is probably more hygroscopic than nitrates, and why would creatinine come into play when creatine nitrate is so readily absorbed-you would think creatinine would be much more of a problem with good old creatine mono.

Couldn't agree more, the absorption would be much better with Creatine Nitrate.

I'm not referring to metabolism.

What does the hygroscopicity of glycerol have to do with anything I said?
