Machine press would be great.
You have to be realistic about how much you can handle and have time for, but 2-3 sets each of light closegrip bench and machine press are definitely solid ideas...
Machine press would be fine, and something similar is okay, you just want to get the extra volume in. Like machine presses 4 x 10, maybe some close grip bench 5 x 10….close grip bench really helps...
Ran out of time this AM. My goal is to put some hypertrophy/accessory work in after. Was originally thinking of doing some seated chest press or seated machine flys. Is machine press too similar?
You only have to put in an opening attempt for each lift at weighins, so it’s best to always put an easy opener. Then based on how that goes, during the meet you will walk over to the score table...
Also, overdue but here are some of the pictures I promised from my visit to Newtech Gym in Vegas!
A couple of shots to show the size & number of DBs and machines, a close up of the...

Stopped here as not to overdue it in Week 1. Definitely felt I could have done more weight...
Yeah, I was using it more to try and figure out where my meso will end me. More a gauge of how I should potentially be progressing during these next several weeks.
Do you normally have to call...
All the blood values make sense - hematocrit should rise with more test, and SHBG definitely drop. It’s great PSA hasn’t risen, as a small but unlucky percentage can see prostate issues. Always...
For sure. Whole trip was actually really great. Vegas is pretty neat in that there's so many things to do, gamble (which I didn't bother with), shows (which I did), great food (definitely did...
I don’t think you’re in a place to set goals. You don’t know how you will progress. Hard numbers are just pointless wishes at this point - you won’t need to think about it until at least a month out.
Yep got it, I think that seems really reasonable and obtainable for sure. Always to if things are really clicking in training and numbers go up you can always adjust.
Exciting stuff man!
Yep, low target totals over all, but right now the goal is just to get to the meet injury free and compete - after not having done deads in a while. Conservatively puts me in a low 600s range...
my first rodizio was at that hotel in mexico on Isla Mujeres and my mind was blown, so when they invited me to the vegas one I was quick to say yes lol
last time I was down there for work we went from top golf to a rodizio place on the strip. I don't remember if it was Fogo de Chao or Galpao Caucho but it was awesome, and my supplier paid so...
Still been training hard. Started the new job this week and just getting settled in after spending the last couple making sure I could get everything closed out at the old firm.
Going to try to...
I used to do a lot more writing back in the day. Hard to find the energy for it recently, but maybe I'll pick up the hobby again if the new work schedule allows.
Oh I hadn't even read @Hyde's response, pretty close in results probably either way. The premise is basically the same just a varying method. A more aggressive approach would be the depletion I...
NO
Do not limit water very low like that for 2 days in a row.
That is more extreme than a dry fast for one day - the longer you are dehydrated, the more you are stressing the body. Organs...
Yeah that’s why I said basically the only thing he eats. Need to keep food volume low and make sure it doesn’t bloat you. So if he doesn’t have time to see his personal response prior it is risky...
thats what I was thinking, but I've never needed to time it so wasn't sure how I would to be honest. I just know a day or two of carbs after being fully leaned out looks awesome. for about a day...
I personally wouldn't do situps, when I was maintaining that 10% or less bf, a big core workout day would make my abs look washed and bloated/fat for a couple days lol. @MrKleen73 has done a lot...
That’s all you can do besides manipulate water, electrolytes, and glycogen. And if you don’t feel comfortable manipulating water, you definitely shouldn’t mess with electrolytes much.
Eating some...
Outside of depleting yourself and drinking more water the week of, then cutting water the afternoon before and consuming 150-200g of easily digested carbs the night before, I wouldn't risk it...
I'm guessing an infared sauna that you can sit in for 25 minutes is in that 135F range for temp? we have ours set at 180-190 and thats brutal. Saunas are awesome if you have the time! like Hyde...
