None of the machines I wanted to use were free today. I hate the gym on Monday evenings.

Right! I think 90% of the people at the gym will let you work in with them if you just ask/tell them you are going to work in. Now I won't if they can't even come close to the weights I am using or whatever but most of the time I will ask if I can work in. People who are actually there to work get it and are often courteous to you. The others need a backhand with a 2.5 plate in hand.You gotta work in, Patsy!

Busy gym again. Didn’t have time or space for RDLs. Also, lost my air at the end and started coughing a lot, so called it a day.

Yeah at the Cartel on a Saturday morning there is so much chit chat I’m sure no one really knows who is using what. Strangers just jump in with raises eyebrows and a thumbs up.That is one thing I love about my new gym, I honestly cannot imagine someone there not being willing to let you work in. I am sure there are some, but it is a different mentality than a regular gym chain like 24hr, or LA Fitness.

Oh okay, it is basically the same thing as a Super ROM Lateral Raise. I do these a lot now myself. Well, less now that I have access to the Arsenal Standing Lateral Raise Machine. That thing is awesome!

Adding a little more volume for the pecs going forward because they are a non-responsive muscle group for me. Doing 8 or so sets instead of 5-6 going forward to see if I have better results there.
Issue is probably a mix of genetics and poor mind-muscle connection. Hopefully some extra work helps me overcome the former and improve the latter.

Also, one of the first things Kleen mentioned when we first got a lift in together is how big my shoulders are. Pre-exhaust those bitches with cable crossovers or some sort of flies then do your pressing. I don't mean as a superset but load those bitches up in the 10-15 range do all your sets for them, then do your pressing. I bet your chest will become the limiting factor then and get pushed to fail before shoulders and triceps.
I think it is great in two ways, one you are going to be pre-fatigued, and 2 there isn't a whole lot better way to feel you pecs contract than a good constant tension fly. You wake them up big time neurally with that level of connection so theoretically your pecs although weaker from fatigue should be firing really well by the time you get to pressing. You should come down and get in a session at my new gym, we have lots of fun machines. Although it sounds like your gym has everything. lolI was thinking about adjusting the order, actually. Might just do that next chest day and do the shortened work first before the press work.
