What was underwhelming by it?

I ran it in the fall and really liked the results. Currently running two bottles back to back.

Do you think I'd get better results doubling the dose? Is there a better Recomp product you recommend?

How you know underdosed? Is this common with there products?
PJ admits this on YT. His excuse is he knows guys take more than the recommended dose so they underdose for people's safety.

He's an interesting "character" to follow for sure. He has a new show on Generation Iron.

A hustler knows a hustler when he sees one. PJ is a massive one.

Recomp RX is the only product I've enjoyed from them really and I never pay full price or order from them.

But I'll admit I'm curious about his next product...

Blackstone is and has always been a company that truly does not give AF about the consumer. They died to me when I threw my tub of Intra-MD away.
Strong this^^^ and tried to fukk over John Meadows in the process too.

All of these RTD’s are pretty much straight poison anyway. Everyone’s up in arms over underdosed products, try researching the added preservatives and all the shti they do to you internally. And remember kids, any product that’s bogo $20 isn’t going to do a whole lot except drain your wallet.

I guess I should redo Glycøshield so the bottle is only 30 caps and still charge $54.99... you know, for peoples safety.

LOL.

He's clever. In a lot of his videos he talks about the amount "he" takes of his supplements and recommends people NOT to follow him. It's obvious he's just planting seeds in people's brains. His new Halo Elite he says he takes 6 and highly suggested ppl not to follow. We all know what ppl will do when they hear that lol.

Ghost Burn
Coming soon

How does this compare to Infrared (which was capped)? Some local store near me was practically giving Infrared away so I got a bottle on the cheap. Ingredient panel looked impressive to me.

All PWO do is

1. Make your wallet lighter
2. Cause a addition to stims

Has no benefit to bodybuilding what so ever

In saying that I either drink coffee or a small scoop of any pre for energy sometimes haha

Exactly. Really counter productive to use stims. It just leaves gains on the table.

AND in that I too either drink coffee or small scoop of pre for energy sometimes. Hard to not use any stims.

A coffee has been studied to be productive for a workout. Of course, that's low to low moderate caffeine.

Stims put your body at stress and raise your cortisol levels. Your body can't properly recover using that stuff.

Ever wonder why these companies have sleep products? To counter balance the stims and convince the customer the pre workout is helping.

Stim use holds back muscle growth aka Gains.

I still like to use them here and there, but a stim free workout will always trump a stim fueled one IMO.

Except caffeine is perhaps the most proven acute ergogenic aid, things like rhodiola have been shown to acutely increase endurance, Alpha-GPC has been shown to increase power output, etc.

Plus if you find that having a pump helps you push more or something, that’s cool too.

You can say that the PWOs that push the envelope with stimulants don’t provide ADDITIONAL benefits over more moderate PWOs, but that’s not analogous to saying that PWOs don’t have any benefit themselves. And sometimes I don’t want to make coffee, so something capped or powdered is more convenient.

Caffeine increases power output acutely and is a stimulant.

Ephedrine and caffeine actually help preserve muscle while cutting.

This post makes no sense.

It’s typically 3-6 mg/kg, or 240-480mg for an 80kg person. 2mg/kg (~160mg) seems to not do so, so I’d aim for at least low-mid 200s, but there’s likely no need to go above 5mg/kg (~400mg).

When I go on a pre workout break for a month or longer, and then take a coffee, it really perks me up for a workout.

Wrong....

Caffeine is a stimulant and acutely increases power output.

Ephedrine and caffeine can preserve muscle while cutting.

Show me a study that shows moderate stimulant consumption hinders gains... hint, you can’t.

And supplement companies sell sleep aids because they make money. Not everything is some giant intertwined conspiracy.

Preserve muscle not build. Taking a bunch of stims won't increase your gains. Maybe your output but they don't help with muscle growth. And I'm not talking caff. I'm talking about the pre's with designer stims mainly.

They sell sleep aids because they create stim junkies who can't sleep.

Quit using that stuff and your gains will increase.

Don't get me wrong I enjoy a good pre but let's not kid ourselves they help with gains like these companies claim. They don't.

Have you considered that some people use preWO that aren’t bodybuilding? Or that the product is offered despite this because there’s a demand, EVEN IF it did limit bloodflow and thus gainz?

Strength, endurance, track, sports athletes are all potentially interested in stims.

And the busy dad working swing shift and getting in his hypertrophy work at 3:00am at a 24hr Fitness may need 500mg of caffeine to even show up. Training suboptimally > not training, ya feel me?

No it won’t hinder gains but also does SFA for muscle gains/body building in general

Show me one single study proving a PWO works for body building that isn’t funded by a supplement company and I will shut my mouth lol

They get you addicted to PWO then get you addicted to take their supplements to sleep. It’s a vicious cycle

I’m aware of all these things but I can’t be a hypocrite. I do use supps occasionally to help me focus, sleep and provide energy. Just don’t think oh this PWO is superior to gains blah blah blah it’s all the same **** when it comes down to it

It’s your money you spend it on what you wanna spend it on

Anyways I’ve derailed this thread haha

Absolutely. But I was more getting at the claims and bull**** in relation to PWO

Imagine if they’re were no pre-workouts like years and years ago? Athletes, sports etc are absolutely no better with them now than they were back in the day. Everyone was fine without them lol

pre's are like test boosters....the direct influence on muscle building is minimal at best, but the indirect influence can have a very positive affect.

pre's=more energy, motivation, focus, pump...

test boosters=better sleep, mood, motivation, sex drive[alpha feel], increased appetite.

If something increases power output, this can increase workload, helping with progressive overload, helping with gains over time.

Caffeine is INHERENTLY a stimulant, so your argument that stimulants hinder gains is therefore disproven.

I’m not saying they’ll help give you more gains than just coffee, but they won’t hurt your gains either.

And if something PRESERVES muscle, how on earth will it reduce your gains? That’s asinine, contradictory logic right there my friend.

It won’t hinder gains, that’s the ONLY thing I’m saying here man. We agree. :)

And the word “addicted” is thrown around way too much. So you feel a need to use a cheap, legal, and safe product to go to the gym multiple times a week after a long day at work? Terrible “addiction” right?

A “vicious cycle?” Most companies don’t even sell sleep aids man, and most people don’t use sleep aids. And plenty of people can fall asleep after drinking their PWO, which is why they keep wanting something stronger. This logic is unfounded conspiracy talk that spits in the face of most actual evidence.

Everyone was fine without an iPhone X and a 4k TV too, that doesn’t mean that people can’t enjoy them and get something out of them.

The whole point here is someone said that PWOs HINDER gains. We can agree they don’t, do that’s the main takeaway. Most of them won’t do anything beyond what just normal caffeine will do, sure, but if you need two scoops of XYZ PWO to get to the gym after work, then by virtue of getting you to the gym at all, it made your workout 100% better. Yes, people worked out after work on black coffee for years, but people are entitled to conveniences.

I get it; you like your stims. No need to defend them so hard...unless there's another reason you like people using them?

Using DMHA or DMAA long term will turn you into a stim junkie. You clearly don't have the same drug experience I do. Lot's of these pre's are using designer research stims similar to already banned substances. They take RC's and mix them with supplements and hope all the other stuff that might actually help you convinces you the product is safe. DMHA and DMAA are CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM stims. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know playing with that is playing with fire. I get it. You like the fact you can buy drugs legally. But you are getting hooked and just don't realize it.

I write this as a recovered addict who still plays with fire (using pre). I know how drugs effect the mind. But please keep defending these designer stims. They clearly mean a lot you.

You do know that caffeine is a CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM STIMULANT too, right? If playing with CNS stimulants is inherently playing with fire, then your morning cup of coffee is, by definition, also playing with fire.

You may know about drugs from personal experience, but you clearly know nothing about science...

The way caff effects the CNS compared to DMHA is laughable kid.

Addicted is no thrown around too much at all, it’s a fact. There are so many people that literally don’t want to train without a PWO, if that’s not addiction I don’t know what is (I’m guilty of this)

My main point is we are no better or closer to our goals with a PWO, sleep aids etc hell take them all away and I bet you anything we will see zero difference

I’ll tell you what an addiction is. It’s when it has negative effects on your life. Jail, losing jobs, loved ones, etc. If the only negative is that you have to spend $1/day on a legal supplement, what’s really the negative? So you won’t workout without it? Oh well, then just buy it. If it gets you to the gym, then it’s a net positive. It’s better for you than drinking large soda all day for sure.

Alcohol addiction leads to DUIs, losing your job, ruined relationships, etc.

Cigarettes lead to lung cancer.

What do PWOs really do that’s even comparable to this?
