Feeling bloated from a few too many over the weekend! The next few days will be low carb & IF. Yeah that alarm thing has happen to me a few times beforeAdult beverages sure aren’t good for the diet!Feeling bloated from a few too many over the weekend! The next few days will be low carb & IF.
Could have swore I set my alarms last night to get to the gym by 5 this morning. Woke up to the sun shining in the windows at 6:12. 3 mins before we are supposed to head to the bus stop. Lol Thankfully, I finished my patients early this morning and was able to squeeze a good back workout in on my lunch break. Even got about 15 mins of intervals on the treadmill.
Despite feeling bloated I do feel like my shoulders are getting some more shape to them.

I think everyone is probably feeling the holiday bloat right about now. We all deserve a cheat weekend here and there right? I didn't indulge much more on food treats but my cheat calories were all in liquid. LolAdult beverages sure aren’t good for the diet!Feeling bloated from a few too many over the weekend! Sorry if I missed something but what hoist machine are you speaking of?Do you guys have the Hoist machines at your gym? I feel like these “roc-it” machines throws your body out of alignment. I don’t need to rock back and forth with the machine.

Such an unorthodox style and movement. Strangely it even feels as if you aren't getting the desired movement or gain from them as if they are assisted or something. At least the ones I have personally tried out.I gym I had when I was working out of town had a full arsenal of those. I tried a few out of curiosity. Garbage I say.

Just googled the roc-it machine and fully agree. Feels like such an unnatural lifting motion for every machine.

It’s sh*t! I used the pec fly machine and it made me arch my back, and I felt like my shoulders were going to pop out. It’s a completely unnatural lifting motion.
I just googled them things. They look dangerous^^ Hahahaha Mermaids!!
They have those at the gym my daughter goes to. Some of them aren’t bad. Mostly the leg ones. I could see how they would be helpful for super newbies like her that have no clue where or how to “feel” it. Kinda forces you to feel it in the right spot.

Get that home gym together and that will be a shoe in.I am so proud of my daughter! She has been going consistently to the gym since she joined! She’s really enjoying it too!! She has been working with her boyfriend to learn new exercises as well as getting stronger! She’s trying to learn to eat more and about nutrition facts. It’s so exciting to see your kids pick up good habits!! Hopefully this summer, I’ll get to train with her some too!
They are actually designed to be a lot more joint friendly. However you have to align yourself correctly. Once aligned the rocking actually feels quite natural and gives you a greater rom in the end range. However it shortens the ROM of the stretched range. This is specifically to aid the joints not get big and muscular but can be done.Do you guys have the Hoist machines at your gym? I feel like these “roc-it” machines throws your body out of alignment. I don’t need to rock back and forth with the machine.
Our 24Hr Fitness went to almost all Hoist Roc-It stuff. I have learned to get into good positions with them but they are far from my favorite.Just googled the roc-it machine and fully agree. Feels like such an unnatural lifting motion for every machine.

It is the lack of a good stretched position. There is always a couple inches of ROM cut off in the stretched position in order to be more joint friendly. So chest press feels like a board press, everything just feels like a partial rep.Such an unorthodox style and movement. Strangely it even feels as if you aren't getting the desired movement or gain from them as if they are assisted or something. At least the ones I have personally tried out.
This is probably one of the main reasons, less chance of injury. Plus once aligned correctly they actually put you into an advantageous position and direct the movement in the most efficient movement pattern, the lack of ROM in the stretched position lowers injury rates which is huge for commercial gyms trying to avoid being sued... The most efficient movement pattern is almost always the one bodybuilders are trying to avoid. We want to make the contraction harder on the targeted muscles, not incorporate as many muscles as possible to make moving the weight easier.^^ Hahahaha Mermaids!!

Depends, are you flexing those glutes? If not that's okay we still love the pic!!!Happy Friday...does this count as a #flexfriday pic?View attachment 166323

Thanks guys! I love my AM family!
Got to go to the gym this morning. Hubby was out of town so little man and I went. Trained chest/shoulders with a friend. Created a new shoulder exercise that is almost as brutal as the rear delt destroyers. Taught it to her. That’s always fun!
Side note, I really really want to get serious about dropping 2.5ish lbs. looking into setting up a more serious cycle. Just have to figure out the details and get the $$ together.
Fixed (I know this is what you meant)
Maybe you could get a part time job baking cakes, do you know anything about this field of work ?
I'm gonna go with 6' tall, and a big liar. I'm thinking at most 150-158.I would have never guessed you were anywhere near 170. You're either 6 feet tall, you carry it well (very well) or you're a big liar.
