I am more than happy to listen to customer criticisms as we take all feedback very seriously.
I am going to have to correct you on a few things though.
1) You say we "don't listen". Do you know how many flavours we have experimented with solely because people on the forums or on social media have requested them? We are literally experimenting with several flavours of several products at any one time. If you think we don't listen to people you are 100% mistaken.
2) If we wanted to save costs we would have never bothered tweaking the white chocolate mint flavouring. It sold really well one year so why bother trying to make it better? We thought we could improve it so we spent time and money improving it even though we knew it would sell anyway.
3) If this was solely about money we wouldn't even release the white chocolate mint flavour again. The profit margins on protein are tiny so it would make no sense to launch a limited flavour we sold before when we make barely any money on it. Keep in mind that we have to contribute to shipping costs to keep them as low as we can for customers. The insider sale isn't even about building hype for a new flavour we are about to release because once this is sold out it is sold out. It isn't like it creates a huge amount of hype for a flavour that is about to be sold across the market.
4) You are using it against us that we say we are listening to customers. If this is a bad thing then we are 100% guilty.
To summarise, relaunching a limited edition flavour with such an aggressive price point makes absolutely no sense because it isn't anywhere near as profitable as launching a product which is then sold for $10 more on our website and then rolled out across the entire market.
We actually didn't intend to do white chocolate mint after the first year but we got so many requests for it we decided to do it again. The same thing happened this year. This doesn't mean we aren't working on new flavours, it just means we decided to keep the large amount of customers who had been asking for this happy. We are still working on other flavours.
Look at our Instagram feed and see how many people say they love the flavour and how many people say they wanted it back. That is exactly the reason we launched it again.
Maybe you don't like the flavour (fine, personal preferences and all) but to say we don't invest money into developing new flavours could not really be further from the truth lol.
