The New Product Release Thread

what about people paying for samples? like i said im more than happy to pay for them and have done so in the past. We have way less interaction in australia, theres like 1 decent fitness expo and its about 600miles away from me. So freebies and access to samples is extremely limited, also there are no companies in aus like NP and the such where you could randomly get a bag with 10+ samples in it... the most samples you will get would be 4 and you would have to pay for that as well (even this is very rare).

/sampletalk (apologies for derail)

The demand is low, and the cost to make them is a loss for companies as VT was saying . While for some consumers sampling before buying is their preferred method. The majority of consumers will blindly buy products based off brand preference or flavor even without trying it. For example loyal PES buyers will most likely jump on an insider when a new flavor drops without trying it based off previous success with the brand and their flavors.

Protein on the market does not really produce profit for companies. Making individual packaging for consumers and then putting 1-2 scoops in there is nothing that a company makes money off of, if anything they lose money doing so.

IFN used to offer samples for a small price, exactly as the other user was suggesting. And Bob is correct, the demand was INSANELY low.

99/100 times when I got messages/emails it would be "why are you charging for samples? that's just wrong. You guys are *******s for trying to get people to pay for samples! Shame on you!" or something along those lines.

Not to beat this topic to death or derail this thread further but I can see both sides of the coin. I personally dont mind spending a few bucks for a sample, however I have seen in some instances that they charge lets say $3 for 2 samples...then hit you with a 5 or 6 dollar shipping charge. That pisses me off.

Well shipping is not cheap. We all know that. Anytime we buy off a retailer flat rate shipping will be around $7 - $10 for a normal package. If the package is light enough to go first class then you can get away with $3-$5. Factor in cost to produce samples and packaging and you can see why they cost what they do. Yet another example why the turnover on samples is little to none.

When companies do that, you have to take a look at the reasoning behind it.

Lets assume you have a pre-workout product that normall sells for ~$30. Companies look to make about 50% margins on any sale, as do retailers (in this industry and others) which means that if the product costs you $7.50 to produce, you sell it for $15. The retailer then marks it up to $30 so everyone can make their profit.

From here, lets assume that a $7.50 pre-wo (manufacturers cost) costs more to produce in single servings than 30 servings (which is obvious, buying in bulk saves money). So if it cost the same, you'd be at $0.25/individual sample in raw materials costs (on average). Add the increased pricing, and you're looking at closer to $0.40-$0.50/individual unit in pricing. Then, you have to add in the single packet costs, which easily jump the average pre-wo sample pack (from a basic formula, not any of the heavy hitters) to about $0.60-$0.75/unit (which is about average from the pricing I have seen over the years).

This gives you a price of $1.20-$1.50 for two sample packs. 50% margin brings you to selling those two samples to $2.40-$3.00 for two sample packs (as you stated above).

Then...we don't get to change shipping prices. UPS/USPS/FEDEX all charge ~$5 for any small shipment, regardless of volume. If you lower the shipping price, you immediately eliminate any potential profits since you're making such a small amount on each sale as it is.

$3 for 2 samples + $5 shipping may sound like you're getting ripped off, but its literally the only way a company (especially a small one) can offer samples and not run in the red by doing so.

It looks like the marshmallow fluff tub, too (I'm sure they were probably going for that based on the name).

Whoever gave him those awards needs to take a nice long look at their life decisions up to this point.

This company just liked a bunch of my pics on the 'gram so I checked them out. New preworkout looks interesting, anyone else seen this?

Why must nearly everyone severely underdose choline bitartrate? It's almost, or exactly, like they know most people don't know that different choline sources require different doses. 200mg bitartrate =/= 200mg CDP or GPC.

Edit: It appears to be listed as 200mg choline from bitartrate, so maybe that means it's actually more choline?

Edit 2: Choline bitartrate is about 41% choline, so it's still under 500mg of choline bitartrate.

ANDRO SHRED™ TOPICAL DELIVERY SYSTEM

Dimethyl Isosorbide (DMI) – is a high purity solvent and carrier which offers a safe, effective delivery enhancement mechanism for the active ingredients in Andro Shred.
Ethoxydiglycol – is a cosmetic grade solvent that conforms to the current USP/NF monographs. Ethoxydiglycol is particularly appropriate for skin care preparations where it acts as an excellent solvent and carrier.
Propylene glycol – is an organic compound that is used 2 primary reasons. First, it has the traits of a humectant; it is able to absorb and help the skin retain moisture. Second, it helps active ingredients penetrate the skin.
Glycerin – when used on skin works as humectant, which is why it attracts moisture onto your skin.
Carbomer – helps to distribute and suspend the active ingredients in the Andro Shedgel.
Triethanolamine (TEA) – Helps the water-soluble and oil-soluble ingredients blend better. TEA neutralizes fatty acids and solubilizes oils and other ingredients that are not completely soluble in water.

No one said anything about free stuff, I clearly said I gladly pay for a sample size, or as some now offer a 4-serving tub or something along those lines. Trust me, a countless number of times I have decided to purchase a product or no to do so based on trying it once or twice. Besides that, the single serving is not only about trying something, a lot of people use them for convenience. It has been highly successful for quest, and I know many other companies offer single servings on their site, or sometimes there is a flavor you like to have a few servings on hand for when you want it, but know you won't ever use a 5lb tub ever. A perfect example is CTD Fruity Pebbles cereal flavor. I love it, I like to keep 4 or 5 individual servings around (which I purchased from their site) for the once every two months I like to use it, but if I had 5lbs of the stuff id probably take 2 years to go through it.

Hearing the supplement reps and partners talk about how consumers suck and always want free stuff or want stuff cheaper...no actually we just want the companies to not lie about what’s in the stuff, amino spike, under dose, put banned shlt in pres, or make the shlt in a dog food plant...
I work hard for my money, but I do not mind paying for my products in full, not looking for favors, codes, bogo’s or ay of that shlt, I’m suggesting the single servings be SOLD, not given out. At the same time, I don’t think I should have to be forced to buy such a large quantity blindly or just not buy it because if that’s my choice 99% of the time I’m going to err on the side of not buying.

In what world do you commit to a 2-month supply of a food or drink item in that price range without having any idea of what it tastes like?
hey, new flavor of monster or Bang is out, but you can only try it if you buy a 36 pack…hey, bro, did you try those new Doritos? Nah, I didn’t have enough room in my truck for all 55 bags id have to buy to try them…

last thing i say on the topic and im off it

Edit: not going to clutter the thread. Moving on.

I think my Unicorn looks tougher.
I insist that Unicorn Shirt is for my daughter. She is a huge My Little Pony Rainbow Dash fans.
Haha.

Dan and Ghost have a fruity cereal milk in the works. By the way each flavor has been superb, I have very high hopes this one will be right up there with the others.

Both cereal milk flavors were top notch but this blueberry flavor is a disappointment. Very artificial tasting blueberry. I will be all over the fruity cereal flavor.

The features in the fat burner are regular caffeine anhydrous mixed with extended release ZumXR caffeine for energy, DygloFit dichrostachys glomerata, Capros Indian gooseberry. Capsimax cayenne pepper, Zembrin sceletium tortuosum for focus and also found in C4 and P6 Ultimate, and BioPerine black pepper.

The two sources in the formula apparently combine for a heavy 400mg, although due to its use of ZumXR branded caffeine that 400mg is intended to release over a six hour period for long lasting energy and focus.

Price: TBD

VPX Bang Peach Mango review coming in hot…

Bottom line up front this flavor is awesome.

I previously had Star Blast as my favorite flavor, and I can say this flavor has edged it to take the top spot.

Strong flavor, and not overly sweet like the cotton candy, but certainly sweet enough. Doesn’t have an artificial taste either. The mango flavor is stronger than the peach but you do get the nice mix. If you are a peach or mango fan you’ll probably love it as well.

I would say that Start Blast is still right there with this flavor, but those two are probably way out in front of the rest of the flavors.

I won’t guarantee you’ll feel the same way, but I would recommend to anyone to give it a try, and even go as far as to say, if you wanted to order in the 4 or 12 pack you could do so with ease and peace of mind that I'd be surprised if you were disappointed.

StarBlast is my #2 behind Cotton Candy...

Blueberry was absolutely incredible IMO. It had a perfect balance of blueberry and pastry pieces (like a poptart). I absolutely loved it, and have it as my favorite blueberry on the market. The reason being is because each aspect is covered and nothing overpowers each other. They found a happy medium with every portion of the product.

Video review on the blueberry whey and Ghost Size coming thursday night.

Star Blast tastes the most like an average energy drink to me. I like it, but it's certainly not a fav for me in the sense of being a unique flavor. Sour Heads is still my #1. I haven't tried any of the new ones past BCV and CC; only 2 old ones I havent had are blue raz and champagne cola (just never stumbled across a single of it yet). Peach Mango sounds solid, though.

Champagna is GOAT in my opinion, star blast and CC tied for #2.

The days when VC stocked Bang were epic, because they ship to Canada for $9.99 up to some stupid weight limit. Would buy cases lolol

Saw the Champagne posters at Europa but wasn't able to snag one. I definitely want to try it just for kicks.

Agree with above Star Blast is fine but nothing special compare to other drinks.
